Steven Spielberg warned that AI-generated content could erode human creativity and threaten humanity. One speaker agrees, imagining machines dominating creative work. The other argues AI is decades from replacing humans and that technology has historically augmented rather than replaced creative work.
Yo guys, check this out.
You got to see what Steven Spielberg is saying about AI. Well, I think the soul is unimaginable, and to lose that because books and movies and music is being written by machines that we created and now we're letting them run with that, that terrifies me.
It's possible it won't be serving mankind.
It'll be the Twilight Zone to serve man. It'll turn out to be a cookbook. And we're on the menu.
I don't know if I necessarily agree with Steven Spielberg here. Personally, I think that we're decades away from truly generative AI that can actually replace a human being. Technology has always helped and improved humans and to allow us to focus on things that are more important to us. Listen, Steven Spielberg, I think you're trying to, you know, self-preserve a little bit here, and I don't agree with you.
