Asking for a sale on first contact is like proposing marriage on a first date. Build trust and deliver value first, then prospects will buy.

Stop being a creep to your customers. What do I mean by that? Well, listen, you wouldn't ever go on a first date with a potential prospect. Totally had to ask you out. Someone that you're interested in and ask to marry them on the first date. I don't care how good looking you are. I don't care how charismatic you are. Doing so would definitely throw a wrench into your relationship. Well, in a similar way, I see business owners all of the time doing the exact same thing to their prospective customers. They're going out on a first touch— no touchy— on a first ad and asking for their credit card, asking to transact. Don't become a transactional relationship. The more value that you can provide to your customers, the more likely they are willing to spend money with you. You've got to build the rapport. They've got to know, like, and trust you before you can take it to that next level.
