Scale A Business With Creativity

Every product is made of components you can swap to stand out. Change a button shape on pants or record your podcast somewhere unexpected. Balenciaga does this constantly, and it works for any business.
Balenciaga will kill me for this. How to generate dangerously creative thoughts out of thin air as someone who's not even creative. It's called component alteration.
I really like that hook. Balenciaga will kill me for this. I don't even like Balenciaga. They kind of suck in terms of what they do. Don't kill me for having an opinion, but I'm intrigued. So let's see what else he's talking about here.
Component alteration will help you stand out, period. Every single business or product or service has components. Now all pants have circle buttons. Imagine instead of a circle you had a triangle or a square. Already that seems way more creative than all brands and it stands out. I would buy a pair of pants just because that has a square button. If you have a podcast, instead of doing a podcast in a room where it's all serious with perfect lighting, do it on a mountain, do it in an abandoned house, do it on a train, in a public train station.
Yeah, basically what he's just saying is find ways to be more creative. If I were to tell you right now, hey, go think of a multi-million dollar business idea just like that out of thin air, you would probably not know where to start. But if I tell you, go and make me a better umbrella, it's like, okay, I already have something to think of, I already got context for that. So in a similar way, very few people are creating things that have never been thought of before, that have never been done before. And I think it was Isaac Newton that says, I am I am because I essentially stood on the shoulders of giants. How can you do the same thing? How can you go and find a product or service that's already successful, it's already got momentum, take that and customize it maybe for a specific problem, pain point, niche, vertical, and just change it enough to be different?
