Hi everyone, this is Jason Kraus. I'm really passionate about startups and excited that I'm able to share 2 new ones with you here today. I'm the founder and CEO of startup consulting firm Prepare for VC, as well as an active investor in the Boston community through Equity Venture Partners, EQX Fund, and as a member of the Boston Harbor Angels Group. It's the technology that enables me to, you know, I recorded this video first on my phone. I was able to upload it to the Mashlink platform and do this side-by-side video that can walk you through the video here today. And you can do it for other YouTube videos, other demonstrations that you want to do a side-by-side commentary while the actual video is playing. And the actual— what this video is going to be about, what I'm really testing out here is the Indigo mattress. It shipped in a box. It's a mattress-in-a-box solution that came right to my doorstep. It arrived on the first floor of my apartment building. It was easy to carry up. I brought the box up 3 flights of stairs and, you know, a lot easier than if it was a full-blown mattress you're trying to carry up. Usually takes at least 2 people to carry up that many flights of stairs. This, you know, simple, carried it up. It's not that heavy. It was compacted. And as you can see here on the left, it was vacuum sealed and tightened. Together and, yeah, in a way that's easy to ship, easy to handle. You can fit the whole thing in your car or wherever you want to go before you take it out. And then as you can see on the left here right now, it's actually, yeah, the vacuum seal is lifting up and the mattress is coming up to its full form. One of the cool things, you know, I've been looking into this marketplace for a while. Basically, yeah, one of the differentiators, the real problems they're solving is that, you know, yeah, a lot of these are sort of once in a while purchases. It's not something you really need to go to a retail store to check out. It's not something like you drive by and see, you know, see a mattress store and say, hey, I want to buy a mattress. It's something, you know, usually it's a targeted search. Something you are searching online. It's a big fit for ecommerce. And it's, yeah, you can go search online actual— now there's these brands of mattresses that people are comparing between and they all have different unique functions among them. So yeah, I mean, one of the keys is, again, you know, it comes in a box, comes right to your doorstep. Another It's really comfortable. Just lay down, as you can see on the left, really soft. There's different versions. You can get the softer side or a firmer side. But also within this mattress, there's 2 different comfort layers. Like, this is a soft— the softer version. So there's the extra soft and soft. As you can see, you can open up, take the inside. Those are the comfort layers. Once the— yeah, the soft side is on there now, and there's a firmer, a little more firm side on the other end. You just take it out, flip it over, and it actually splits evenly so that you and your partner can both be on different sleep levels. And that inside, when you open it up, you know, you can clean it out, clean out the mattress, which is something you're not able to do with a spring mattress or a regular foam mattress as well. Really exciting bed, and yeah, it's really comfortable like I mentioned.
