15 minute HEALTHY meals for BUSY people

In this YouTube video, Victoria S. Dorsano addresses the common problem of busy individuals lacking time and energy to prepare nutritious meals. She presents four simple, affordable recipes that can be made in 10‑15 minutes, each emphasizing high protein and high fiber to promote satiety, gut health, and balanced nutrition. The recipes include: (1) Apple cinnamon protein oatmeal, a versatile dish that can serve as breakfast, snack, or dinner, customizable with any fruit and various milks; (2) Black bean and egg tacos, a vegetarian‑friendly lunch that mixes plant‑based beans with animal protein from eggs, topped with avocado and optional cheese; (3) Tuna and avocado sandwich, a quick on‑the‑go snack offering protein and healthy fats, with suggestions for alternative protein sources; (4) “Lazy girl” chickpea pasta with frozen edamame and peanut sauce, a three‑ingredient dinner that requires no chopping. Throughout, Dorsano highlights the importance of protein diversity, fiber for gut health, cost‑effectiveness, and the ability to adapt ingredients based on pantry staples. She also references a prior video on the life‑changing impact of high‑protein, high‑fiber meals and promotes her coaching service, Be Victorious Coaching, for personalized meal plans and behavior‑change support. The video concludes with a call to action for likes, comments, and subscription.

And the next thing you know, you're running around doing these errands all day long that are totally unexpected. Whatever the reason might be, life can be crazy and it can leave us drained and with no time and energy to prepare healthy meals at home. But what if I told you in the same amount of time that it took you to decide and order whatever that is from that meal delivery app or find that recipe online that you would be able to whip up a delicious and healthy meal with very little effort? Would you believe me? Well, you better, because today I'm about to show you 4 delicious options that I personally go to that are super, super easy nutritious meals that take very little time. Like, I'm talking 10 to 15 minutes or less. And a bonus, these are going to be high fiber and high protein meals that are going to satisfy you, hit those nutrient goals, and keep you feeling full for a long time. And hello, fiber helps with your gut, so yay for gut health. I've actually even talked about in how in a previous video that focusing on meals with high protein and high fiber has helped change my relationship with food and my body in such a drastic way that it's changed my life. So I'll link that video down below if you're curious to learn more about why I choose those meals. Oh, and these meals aren't just good for your body, they're also good for your wallet. A lot of these meals can be made very inexpensively, which who doesn't love that, you know? So let's go ahead and dive in. All right, recipe number 1, this is a go-to of mine. I love, love, love protein oatmeal. So this apple cinnamon protein oatmeal is perfect really for any time of the day. Obviously when I think of oatmeal, you know, most people think morning time, but I've had this for dinner, I've had it for snacks. It's really one of those meals where if you're in a pinch and you have some sort of oats on hand, you can make this really easily. For breakfast purposes, I'm a big fan of making sure that I get a good amount of protein first thing in the morning to make sure that I'm fueling my day right from the get-go. Today I'll be showing you guys how I make it with apples, but again, you can sub in really any fruit. If you prefer bananas or blueberries or any other ingredient other than apples, that's totally fine. It's just what's easy for me to incorporate. So for this recipe, you'll need some sort of milk, whether that's cow's milk or, you know, plant-based milk, that works too. I personally prefer almond milk, but whatever floats your boat. You also need some rolled oats. Vanilla protein powder is also another ingredient that I'll be using, but again, you can use another flavor of protein powder if you want. I like to add a little bit of hemp seeds or flax seeds, get a little extra fiber and protein boost, cinnamon, and then of course your fruit of choice, or for me, apples. So to get started, in a saucepan you're going to bring your milk of choice to a boil and then add the oats, and then you're going to reduce the heat to a simmer. You're going to then just cook those oats and stir occasionally until the oats are tender and the milk has been absorbed. And then you're going to stir in about 1/4 cup of your protein powder, about a tablespoon of hemp seeds or flax seeds, and then cinnamon to your liking, and then you're just gonna add a little splash of milk if you wanna thin that out. You don't have to do that step if you don't want to, and then top with fruit. It's really as easy as that. Again, this really only takes like 5 to 10 minutes to make, and if you do not have that time in the morning, you can even make this an overnight oat recipe where you mix all those ingredients in a jar ahead of time, cold altogether, and then you put it in the fridge, and by the morning it'll absorb the liquid from the milk and you'll be good to go. You can bring it with you on your transit to work. Now it's time for lunch, right? And if you're busy like myself, you don't really want to stop your day and think about what you're going to orchestrate and put together for lunch and make it this whole extensive thing. You want something quick, easy, and that you can make really quick and be able to jump to your next meeting without any issues. So that is where these black bean and egg tacos come in, also vegetarian friendly. And again, this is a little side note, I do try to like to mix up my protein source throughout the day, from doing like an animal-based protein like a poultry or a beef or something like that to egg, I know it's also an animal-based protein, but you know, it's not actually like meat per se, to doing something like fish. So I always try to think about that throughout the day too to just vary the protein source, get a little diversity of different amino acids. All you need for this recipe will be some eggs, some black beans, half an avocado, some lime juice, and some tortilla wraps or corn tortillas, whatever works best for you, as well as a little shredded cheese if you wanna add some. It's super, super easy. You're just gonna open up your can of black beans, put them in a bowl, mash it up with some lime juice, and then season with salt and pepper. Next, you're going to heat your pan with butter, add your eggs, and then stir until cooked. And then in the last minute or so, you can add in your shredded cheese on top if you want to and let that melt. Then you're going to prep your tacos by spreading the mashed beans onto your tortillas, top with egg, avocados, and some cilantro if you have some around. If not, no biggie. And then you can add anything else on top as well if you want to. And there you have it, your egg and black bean tacos. So this third recipe can really function as another lunch option or potentially as a snack as well, depending on what you prefer. But I like to have it as a snack sometimes. It is a tuna and avocado sandwich. So really, if it just depends if you have those ingredients around and you wanna throw that together. Sandwiches for me are just a really easy way to be able to fuel myself during the workday. I can make it ahead of time, like earlier in the day if I want to, and then have that ready as a quick snack. Um, I can have half at a time. I can have the other half later in the day. It's just a really easy thing to divide up. So this tuna and avocado sandwich is great for that. So for this tuna and avocado sandwich, you'll end up needing obviously some tuna and some avocado, some sort of sandwich bread, and salt and pepper. So first you're gonna drain your can of tuna and then slice or mash your avocado. And then you're just going to assemble the sandwich by spreading your tuna on one slice of the bread and you're gonna close that sandwich and that's pretty much it. Honestly, you can mix up the protein source in this. It doesn't have to be tuna. You can do turkey, you can do chicken. You can do another source of protein, whatever you feel is best. I know tuna is one of those love-hate things, so I personally like it. A lot of people don't. I totally get it, especially if you're in an office place. You don't want to be the person with tuna smell. I understand. But really, the purpose here is to have some sort of protein source along with the healthy fat fiber from the avocado, and then, you know, some fiber from the slices of bread as well. So listen, I get it. When it's been a long day, all you want to do is to make something easy like ramen, or just have a protein bar, or order pizza. And that is why this last recipe is what I call like my lazy girl pasta. It is so easy, very protein fiber packed. It is just 3 ingredients and it is the most simple dish to throw together. You don't need to cut anything. There's really only one dish and then you're done. For this recipe, you'll need chickpea pasta, some frozen edamame that have already been shelled, and peanut sauce. I like to use like a peanut satay sauce sometimes. It gives kind of that Thai-ish flavor. It's really delicious. So You can use whatever peanut sauce you prefer though. So what you're gonna do is you're gonna cook the pasta according to the package directions, and then in the last 2 minutes of cooking the pasta, you're gonna add in a cup of frozen edamame and cook that all the way through. Then you're gonna drain the water from the edamame and pasta mixture, and then just simply add a fourth cup of your peanut sauce and mix together. This is such a delicious meal, and it is so easy and so filling and just really hearty and nutritious for the end of the day. So there you have it, 4 really healthy and simple quick, delicious meals for those busy, busy days. Remember, eating well does not have to be time-consuming. I think in a world where we're seeing all these Instagram-worthy meals that people are putting together that look so beautiful and healthy and delicious, they look great, but realistically, most of us are not gonna have the time, the energy, and the resources to put that together. So that's why I love these meals. They're real, practical, simple meals that you can just throw together with pretty much whatever you have available in your cupboards. With the exception of a few fresh ingredients here and there. And while leading a very productive and successful life can be fruitful, it is also equally fruitful to practice balance and sustainable health embedded into our busy days. And that really starts with making sure that you're nourishing your body and your mind well so that you can perform better in your day-to-day tasks and what you're doing throughout your life. So if you're a super busy individual but still wanting to develop better eating habits and aren't really sure where to start and what's going to fit best in your lifestyle, then I can definitely help with that. Myself and my team can help to provide you with a customized meal plan that can support your busy lifestyle and your needs, and also offer behavior change coaching to support you along the way and making those changes happen.
