4-Month Knees Over Toes Program Results: Shocking Before & After!

After four months on Ben Patrick's Knees Over Toes program, this creator went from multiple serious injuries—calf tears, ACL reconstruction, broken kneecap—to zero knee pain and major strength gains: full ring pull-ups, a 62-mile bike ride at 18.5 mph, and better volleyball and basketball performance.

After just 4 months of doing this program, I feel stronger than I ever have before, ever. And if you've been following along with me, you know that I've been doing the Knees Over Toes program, AKA Ben Patrick's program, AKA the ATG program. There's a lot of names for it, but I've been doing that for about 4 months now. And like I said, if you've been following along with my journey, you know that, but it's time for another update. In case you haven't been following along with my journey, just a really brief synopsis background, a little bit of my injury history and why I'm doing this program. I had a calf tear in 2019, then an ACL tear in 2020, then another calf tear in 2021, and a low back strain somewhere in the middle of all that mess. And literally it felt like my body was falling apart. I turned 30 and then like, I don't know what happened. And mind you, I'm a very, very, very, very active person. I like to continue to do my sports, my activities, you know, no matter what age I am. But it does come at a cost. And I wanted to try to find a program that was going to help me mitigate some of these injuries moving forward and help me kind of repair some of the residual pain and kind of tissue stuff that I was having going on after these injuries, despite having gone through PT for all of them before. And then I fell upon Ben Patrick's program, the Knees Over Toes Guy, aka the ATG program, all that stuff that I mentioned before. and it has been a godsend. So this is my 4-month update of being in the program, and here we go. So after 4 months of going through this program, I finally have no more knee pain at all. And that's like, ugh, such an amazing thing to say. I'm so excited to be able to say that after having gone through my ACL reconstruction and having my kneecap break. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that too. My kneecap broke, um, in the middle of all that. And after having that injury and just my other knee starting to bother me too from compensating so much, like, I was really worried my knees were never going to be the same. And I was really worried that I was always going to have pain in my knees and there was always going to be some residual weakness from going through that whole ACL reconstruction process. And, you know, it was a fear of mine. Even at the 2-year mark post-op, I was like, I don't know what to do moving forward. And that's right around when I found this program. And since going through this for 4 months, I did have some kind of discomfort in my previous updates on this program. You've heard me mention that I had a little bit of knee pain going into the second month of the program as I started advancing in some of the moves and adding more weight. And I kind of backed off some of the weights on some of the moves and just really worked on the form, the technique, and getting like some solid foundation in some of these movements and just working my way gradually to the full movement. And I am so happy to say that there is no more knee pain at all. All right, so point number 2 I want to make in this 4-month update is that I've really been loving the workout structure. I've come to see that there's about, you know, between 20 to 25 different exercises that they, they cycle through in the ATG Standards program that I'm doing right now. And, um, I really like that because it gives you the chance to continue to master the movements and come back to them week by week. And I love the way that they structure this, especially in these past 2 months that I've been experiencing it since my last update, really what they would do is kind of give you a chance. So you'll see, for example, like the VMO squat, they'll put that in there like twice in a week. So maybe on like a Monday and a Thursday or Monday and a Friday, and you get the chance to work on that VMO squat 2 times a week for like 2 weeks or 3 weeks back to back. And they give you a chance to really master the move, continue to, you know, progress in the amount of weight that you're, that you're adding into it or just, you know, progress in the depth of the movement. And I find that really nice that they're not changing it up like, you know, every week it's completely different. I like that they have some of the same exercises and then they swap them out. Like instead of the VMO squat after, you know, 2 weeks back to back, they'll do the ATG squat mixed in there. And I really like that because like I said, it gives you a chance to really adapt to the movement, to really, um, you know, gain some traction and some muscle memory of what that feels like and continue to progress off that form, which I think is really important. I know myself, I have ADHD and I'm constantly wanting to switch things up all the time, but I think something like this is really good for my routine because it helps me build some consistency in each of those movements that are really important for my joints, my, you know, my muscles, my ligaments, my tendons, all the connective tissues. Point number 3 I want to make in this update is just like, I just want to vibe on the coaches for a second because the coaches have been amazing and they continue to be amazing. I'm honestly floored at the quality of coaching. Um, you know, I can notice that just from my background. I've been a volleyball coach for a long, long time. Um, I was a you know, physical therapy tech for a long, long time, physical therapy aide, and really was involved in like coaching people's technique and movements and things like that. And they give really, really great verbal cues, great verbal feedback to each of the movements that you send in if you do the monthly program that I'm doing where you have access to the app and you send your form in and all that stuff. And I've just been so impressed with the feedback from the coaches and they've noticed things that I haven't even noticed about foot positioning and just things that have really helped me excel in the movements and they get back to you really quickly. Like I think they say give them 24 hours, but that's usually much sooner than they get back to you in. And I just really appreciate all their feedback and they cheer you on. So they're not only correcting you, but they're always like, this looks great or you're doing amazing. All that, you know, all the kind of encouraging things too. And then lastly, like another vibe point I want to make on these coaches is that they make a point to ask you How's everything feeling? Is there any pain you're experiencing? You know, how's this movement feeling for you? And I think that's so important. I think every time I've gotten a response from them, from like a form check on any of my movements, they've asked, how is this feeling for you? And I think that's so important because I think a lot of people don't necessarily want to bring up like, hey, this is a little uncomfortable or this might hurt. So it creates like an open environment, an open invitation to talk about like, yeah, this is, this, is kind of uncomfortable and I kind of feel this like little twinge of pain this way. And they'll be like, hey, why don't you adjust the movement this way? Or let's regress it to this point. And they really work with you on that. And I so appreciate that because they're just really quality coaches. All right, so the fourth point I want to make about this, you know, fourth month update that I've been doing this whole program is this: my overall body strength is like through the roof. I've actually never felt stronger in my life. Um, and it's just incredible how Just these movements and working on the consistency of these movements has allowed my body to develop like overall strength to a point I've never had before, um, in so many different areas. Like I can do full ring pull-ups, no problem. I've never been able to do that. The amount of squatting is more than I ever have been able to do, especially with great form. I'm just so impressed. Even from a sport component, like I've been able to play volleyball basketball, spikeball. Haven't played tennis yet because no one will play with me, but like maybe someday. I, I was able to do a 62-mile bike race without even training for it because unfortunately I had COVID and there were a lot of other things going on and I had already signed up for it and I was just like, let's just, let's just go do it and see. And I was like so surprised. I kept an 18.5 mile per hour pace on average, which is pretty good, um, at least for me. And I was just really impressed. Like my legs felt so strong, my body just felt capable of handling that. And I'm, I'm just like overall impressed with like just the overall body strength from my upper body to my core to my lower body down to like my feet, um, even my neck. Like they work in some neck, uh, strengthening and stuff that you can do in the program too. I'm just so, so impressed. So I've been really seeing the gains here in these last 2 months, from month 2 to month 4. I've been really seeing the progression and like I'm such a believer in this program now, it's insane. I want like everybody to do it and I love that it can be adapted for all levels of, you know, athletes or non-athletes, of people in any age demographic. And I think that's so great. And I love that a lot of these movements can be adapted so that you don't need equipment too. And I think that's really important because they're considering that there's that limitation for some people that they may not be close to a gym, they may not have a gym membership. And a lot of these things you can adapt to having no equipment around. So I'm just so impressed. I'll, you know, obviously continue to make update videos on this as I continue to move through the program. I'm considering moving to their ATG program next and experiencing what that's like. And that's more of like a strength-based program, but I can't imagine what that feels like because I already feel like really, really strong. So we'll see. But I will continue to make these update videos, probably another one around the 6-month mark, um, and keep you guys posted on how everything's going. But I cannot say enough good things about this program, and I'm gonna put a link down below to the program itself. You can buy Ben Patrick's book on Amazon, and That's all I got. I'm just like floored at the results of everything in this. So I'm curious, what do you guys think? Have you tried any of Ben Patrick's exercises? Have you done his program before? Are you curious about it? Maybe you've gone through knee surgery like me and you're a little like, I don't know, like where are you at with this? I'd love to hear, you know, what this has been like for you if you've been on this journey in terms of doing some of the program, you know, exercises, or if you're considering it. Would love to hear from you. Drop your thoughts and comments down below and don't forget to subscribe and like this video. As always, and I appreciate all you guys. Bye.
