In this video, Victoria S. Dorsano explains why she has been taking high‑quality fish oil for many years, citing her genetic predisposition to joint and cardiovascular issues and her experience after ACL surgery, where she noticed reduced knee inflammation when using fish oil. She outlines the key criteria for an effective fish‑oil supplement—third‑party testing for purity, accurate labeling, and a clinically effective dose of EPA and DHA. Victoria recommends the Legion brand because it provides over 2 g of combined EPA + DHA per serving, meets the purity standards she values, and supports her heavy training regimen by helping joint health and managing inflammation.

All right, so up next on the list is a high-quality fish oil. I've been taking fish oil for many years now. Why I personally take it is to help support joint health and cardiovascular health. I have genetic predispositions to having issues on both those systems in my body, so just wanted to kind of get ahead of the curve on that one. And also, since I've had ACL surgery, I just really do feel a difference in my knee and the inflammation in my knee when I'm taking a high-quality fish oil. Now again, I use Legion's brand. You're probably going to see a theme throughout this video that, you know, a good amount of these 6 supplements are Legion's, and that is primarily because Legion Third-party tests their supplements for purity and accuracy. They also use the effective dosing on all their supplements, so they're not just adding like a little bit of something and saying like, hey, it does all these things, but they don't have like the clinical effective dose in the product. So Legion does. And speaking of that, if you are going to take a fish oil supplement, you want to make sure that it has a certain amount of EPA and DHA in there to actually be effective. So Legion has actually over 2 grams of combined EPA and DHA, which is phenomenal. That's the main thing I'm looking for in a solid fish oil supplement, on top of being third-party tested for purity and accuracy, of course. But again, since I'm doing a lot of heavy training, it's just really helpful for joint support and managing inflammation.
