Best Travel Essentials for Fitness, Focus & Sleep (2025)

In this 2025 travel‑hacks vlog, Victoria S. Dorsano walks viewers through the gear, nutrition, sleep tools, and digital resources she relies on to stay fit, focused, and well‑rested while on the road. She opens with a brief sponsor plug for Legion Athletics, then divides the content into five practical categories: (1) smart packing gear such as a packable backpack, collapsible shaker bottle, and portable laptop riser with a compact Bluetooth keyboard; (2) ergonomic travel‑desk setup to prevent neck and back strain; (3) sleep‑optimizing accessories including an eye mask, earplugs, and a free fan‑noise app; (4) high‑protein, mess‑free snacks and instant coffee sticks that also deliver collagen; and (5) a suite of travel‑friendly apps (Bounce, ResortPass, DeskPass, Workfrom.co) that streamline luggage storage, access to hotel amenities, coworking spaces, and café work environments. Throughout she shares personal anecdotes (e.g., noisy NYC hotel, subway‑hustle hunger) to illustrate why each item matters. The video ends with a call‑to‑action for comments on a potential part‑2 and standard YouTube engagement prompts.

You know that feeling when you're traveling and everything's a mess? Your food's off, your sleep sucks, and your neck hurts because you've been working all hunched over, and you just end up feeling off your game. And I've definitely been there. So given that I'm actually traveling now, I wanted to share with you guys what I pack with me and the things that I use to help keep my body and brain feeling good so that I can have fun when I'm traveling. And these aren't overhyped gimmicks or trends. These are things that I've consistently used and integrated when I'm traveling for the past 3 to 5 years or so. That have made a world of difference. But before we dive in, a quick word from today's sponsor. Look, whether you're trying to maintain your gains while traveling for work or just want to optimize your health at home, Legion Athletics has become my go-to. Their protein actually tastes good, no chalky nonsense, and everything from their creatine to fish oil is third-party tested for purity. No proprietary blends either, so you actually know what you're getting and in what doses. Links in the description. So this first category of things I want to talk about is like what I would call smart packing, just portable and practical gear. One thing that I have absolutely loved that has been a huge game changer is something called a packable backpack. Now you might be saying, Victoria, all backpacks are packable. Yes, I get it, but I'm talking about a backpack that condenses into a very, very small item, like a tiny little purse basically, and then it expands into a full-size backpack. Why this is necessary is because if you are traveling, you might be having a suitcase and a main backpack that you might already have with you, right? And in that main backpack might already be like work items, and you know, you might already have like things neatly packed in that backpack that you don't want to have to take completely out to then bring with you when you're like out and about town or need to go to the gym. So I like to bring this packable backpack that collapses in. I can easily throw into my suitcase. It takes up like zero space, like as much as a bundle of socks. And then I can unpack that backpack and use that specifically for going to the gym, or you know, again, just casually going out and about if I don't want to bring a purse and I'd rather just wear a backpack. So packable Backpack for the win. Speaking of going to the gym, another thing that I always love to bring with me is my collapsible shaker bottle and some protein powder. Now the collapsible shaker bottle is a game changer because again, you can easily pack that along. It's not going to take up a ton of space. You can bring that in your backpack through TSA and just put protein powder already in it and then fill it up with water when you're in the airport. That's a bonus. But that being said, it's just nice to have as an option to shake protein with you when you're in the hotel room. You don't have to make a big fuss about it, try to find a spoon or something to like mix it with. It has a little shaker like metal thing in there that helps stir it up. So that was a game changer. And then of course I bring my Legion protein powder with me everywhere because it's delicious and it blends so easily. The next two items that I absolutely love are my ergonomic travel desk setup. Hunching over at a laptop at any workstation is uncomfortable, and if you are traveling for any duration longer than like 2 days, it gets really old really fast. That's why I love this portable laptop riser. This one in specific is about 2 pounds, so very packable. Very lightweight to bring with you. It condenses into this like kind of vertical carrying bag, so takes up very little space and it expands open. It rotates. It's really well done. And then I have a really nice Bluetooth keyboard that I got refurbished on Amazon. It's the MX Keys Mini by Logitech, and I absolutely love it. Very lightweight, very easy to put in your backpack, slides right in there. And there you go. You can be your most efficient self without your neck cramping. Okay, so next category is getting proper sleep. There's nothing worse than traveling and feeling like you can't get a good night's rest. That's why when I travel, I'm always bringing an eye mask and some earplugs in case the walls are thin and, you know, there's no blackout shades. I was just staying in New York City the other night and it was loud. The walls were incredibly thin. I can hear everything my neighbors were saying and there were ambulances outside all the time. It was super helpful to have my eye mask and earplugs in that situation, but really just to have handy anywhere you go. You never know what's gonna happen when you're traveling, who's gonna be next to you, and what kind of shenanigans are gonna be around. And hey, if that's not enough, another go-to of mine is the Fan Noise app. I just download it when I'm traveling. It's free, and then you can put on like a box fan noise and it pretty much drowns out most of the ambient noise around you. Okay, so let's talk about snacks, a very important part of traveling in my opinion. When I'm traveling, I wanna know I have options that are my go-tos in case of emergency. For example, like my first day I got to New York, I was hauling my suitcase all around the subway, did not have time to stop to eat. I was starving and remembered that I brought some snacks. And in particular, these two things saved me. These have become my go-to bars for traveling lately because one, they don't melt. There's no like chocolate coating or anything that's going to cause a mess when I'm opening them up. So I have a savory option from Savory Bar, which is delicious. And then I have an option from David, which again, another high protein bar, also delicious, but has a lot of different sweeter flavors. Both options pretty high in protein, over 20 grams, and substantially filling. All right, so the second really handy food item that I brought with me recently have been these instant coffee sticks because not every hotel room has a coffee maker, which is such a bummer. But I've learned, and I've learned that these are a must-have for me. These ones are from Pro Joe, and not only is it instant coffee, but it also has 12 grams of hydrolyzed collagen protein in there. So you're getting some protein first thing in the morning as well, and there's some creamer already mixed in. So you have a delicious cup of coffee ready to roll, but you can also mix it in like cold water if you don't have anything to heat your water. So it mixes really well and I've even dumped some in my protein shake before for a little afternoon booster. I'll put the link for these down below in the description. I had the caramel flavor. It's really good. Okay, so next category of things are just apps that make travel life easier in general. Some of these are going to be health and fitness oriented, some of them are just going to be like travel hacks that you'll enjoy. First app is going to be Bounce. If you haven't heard of Bounce, they are everywhere, which is amazing. I've even used them when we were in Rome last year. It's basically an app where you are storing your luggage for a small day fee, so let's say you land at 11 AM and you can't check into your hotel until 3 or 4 in the afternoon. It's not fun to have to haul your luggage around with you everywhere, especially if you have a lot of it. So what you can do is go on to Bounce and search your location, and usually there's a couple places within a few blocks of where you're located, and you're able to store your luggage at like a barber shop that's listed with Bounce. Um, and they'll charge a small like fee of like $10 to $12 per suitcase. Totally worth it because then you're able to roam around the city and not have to haul around huge suitcases with you. So definitely recommend Bounce. The other thing that I find myself looking on all the time is ResortPass. If you've not checked out ResortPass, it is a game changer for a couple of different reasons. So I was in a situation recently when I was in New York where my hotel checkout was at noon. I didn't have a meeting until about 3:30 or 4. I still had work to do. I didn't want to go to a noisy cafe, so I checked ResortPass because what ResortPass does is basically it utilizes hotels' unused amenities. So ResortPass basically sources out these availabilities of different hotel amenities and lists them on this app. So I was able to book a day room where I had access to business amenities in the business center area of a hotel for very cheap. So I'm a huge ResortPass girl, highly recommend downloading that app. And if you want to take advantage of really swanky hotel amenities on the cheap, it's the way to go. The next app that I love is called DeskPass, and what DeskPass allows you to do is basically finding if co-working spaces have like an extra desk or two to use for the day at a reduced rate where you don't have to become like a normal monthly member of that co-working space. If you need a private meeting room or a boardroom, you can also rent those out for a little bit more of a price, but it's been a great resource for when I'm traveling and I need to get serious work done. Now, if you do have to do remote work and you are traveling and you don't necessarily wanna spend any money, I highly recommend a website to go to called workfrom.co. Workfrom basically is like an online aggregation of all different cafes and public work areas in your city that you're traveling to. People kind of go on there and rate by like noise level, workability, Wi-Fi passwords are usually listed somewhere in that profile of the place. So makes it really easy to go to any cafe and kind of look around online and see, is this going to be the work environment I want to be in, or do I need to go to a different spot? So that's also a great resource for traveling. I do have a couple other tools and tricks up my sleeve, so if you're interested in hearing more about my travel hacks to stay healthy and feeling well-fueled on the road Drop a comment down below. I'd be happy to make a part 2 if that is of interest to you guys, but I'll leave it there for now. And as always, if you found this video helpful or enjoyed it, give it a thumbs up, subscribe to the channel. I greatly appreciate it, you guys, and I'll catch you on the next one. Bye.
