Korean Protein Snacks Taste Test 🍪🇰🇷 | Are They Actually Healthy?

In this informal vlog, Victoria S. Dorsano, joined by her husband Chris and a third participant, samples a variety of Korean protein snacks and protein drinks that she acquired while meeting the order minimum for a Korean sunscreen from Olive Young. The video walks through each product, noting its appearance, smell, macro nutrition (calories and protein grams), texture, and flavor. Victoria and Chris give each item a numeric rating (typically out of 10) and discuss personal preferences, such as crunchiness, sweetness, and after‑taste. The snacks reviewed include onion‑flavored crackers, sweet‑potato protein shakes, wheat‑based powder drinks, bagel‑shaped crisps, strawberry cheesecake bars, and a Labnosh cookie, among others. Throughout, Victoria provides casual commentary, occasional humor, and a brief plug for the sunscreen brand, while emphasizing that the video is not sponsored. The video concludes with a summary of the ratings, a reminder to hit order minimums at Olive Young for similar deals, and a standard call‑to‑action for likes and subscriptions.

What's up, you guys? Welcome back to the channel. So today you are in for a treat. We are doing a different style video than I'm normally doing on the channel. You can see I got my husband here, Chris. What we're going to do today is try a bunch of Korean protein snacks. Why do I have these? Why is this in my kitchen? Well, let me tell you. I had to hit an order minimum.
Order minimum?
I had to hit an order minimum on my Korean sunscreen that I love so much, and in order to do so, I had to put a bunch of other Korean wellness goodies in my basket. So what did we get? A little bit of everything, and we're gonna try it out today. We gotta lay out, guys. Um, we gotta I got a full layout. So my sunscreen, that's here. I'm excited for that. By the way, quick plug for these guys. Amazing sunscreen. If you haven't tried it, highly recommend this Korean brand of sunscreen. It is amazing for your base. Let's show them what it is first. I don't, not that, I mean, if any of you guys speak Korean, read Korean.
With all the ingredients in Korean.
Yeah. So what is it? Does it say?
Tastian.
Tastin'. Tastin'. Tastin' nutrition.
Toasty nutrition.
Smell it first. I'm always curious about the smell.
Oh, wasn't ready for that. Very oniony, but there is an onion here, so that makes sense. I wasn't ready for that. I should have known better.
Let's check the macros on it. Can you read that? 195 calories. I don't know which one is protein though. 11 grams of protein. Ready?
Cheers.
Oh, that's actually really good. It's like sweet onion. A moment for the crunchy guys.
Have some bad onion breath after, but that is pretty delicious.
Yeah, that's good crunch. Okay.
No, I do like them. They're really good.
We have all these like protein shakes in bags. I think the theory is you're supposed to put water or the liquid beverage of your choice in there. We got this one that clearly says 20 grams of protein, so there is that. Also, this says 20 grams of protein too. Um, I think this was just the wheat, wheat flavor. This one was interesting to me because it's sweet potato flavored. Should we just do water? I feel like almond milk would be better. But I also don't want to waste it all.
Doesn't smell good.
Oh, and there's chunks. There's so many chunks in here. I think that's what those little dots are. That's actually— go for it. It smells so bad. Mm, okay, wait, it actually tastes really good.
Don't just do it for the camera.
No, no, no, this is really good.
Hmm.
I feel like this one has more of an acquired taste.
This one's delicious.
I can't say I like it yet.
I would, I would chug these.
I would.
Yeah. 148 calories and 19 grams of protein. I'm in.
This one's not doing it for me.
Swapsies. Take your milks.
Right to the line.
Have fun.
Smells like ground-up Triscuits.
The aftertaste is pretty rough as well.
You got the better end of having that one last. There's so much powder in there. Chunks of powder.
It was chunky. It's wheat, it's hard to break down.
I mean, it's not bad. Again, it tastes like, it tastes like if someone chewed up a bunch of Cheerios, like Honey Nut Cheerios, and into a pulp and spit them into this bag. Spit them into this bag. That's what it tastes like. It's not a bad flavor, but the texture is very similar to like re-spit-up Cheerios. That's interesting, isn't it?
Yeah, this is like cereal. This is actually really good.
Let's go to maybe a bar. This looks kind of sweet. Look at this, it's like a little strawberry something something. 160 calories, about 14 grams of protein. So again, pretty protein dense, pretty low cal.
I'm gonna try the labnas.
Labnas. This one looks like toffee or like a Turkish delight. Strawberry cheesecake. That's what this tastes like. Really good. Tastes like a Quest bar, but like a little healthier, a little less sweet. This is solid.
Did you ever try Cookie Crisp as a kid? That's what this tastes like.
Really?
Wanna swap?
Yeah. Oh, this looks nice. This is the Labnosh.
This is very tart smelling.
Oh my God, this is like a dessert bar. Wow. Okay, I like. We've got the 260 cal bagel protein crisps. These ones I feel like are gonna be good. I mean, the packaging looks good.
They—
oh yeah, these smell good. These are— these remind me of like these like crisps that I've seen in Trader Joe's before. They're like these little guys, you know, they don't look like bagels, so I'm kind of sorely disappointed about that. The marketing on that made it look like they were gonna be in the shape of bagel. Oh, this tastes great.
All of these have so much flavor. Yeah, very strong.
Yeah, I like them.
It doesn't taste like berries and cherries though. The best for last, hopefully.
La Noche protein cookie. This looks like those Lenny and Larry's cookies, like not super high protein, you know, protein's more like a, hey, we're here kind of a thing. It's not the main, it's not the main feature. I mean, it looks decent. Kind of sad. About what I anticipated, a little dry. I like that it's not super sweet. I will say that a lot of the Snacks so far have not been super sweet.
This is very dry. It's like crumbling.
It's like dust a little bit, but you win some, you lose some. All right, so ratings. Let me go back. These Tastin Onion Crackers, I'm gonna give them, um, 7 out of 10, maybe an 8. No, 7. I'm not a huge cracker girl, but if I were a cracker girl, I'd probably give them closer to an 8. They have a really good flavor, really good crunch. They're pretty satisfying. You can tell they're dense. So I think these would be pretty like nice and filling. How about you?
I'd give it about a 6, but I'm not a huge cracker person. Also, onion just doesn't, doesn't do it for me.
I mean, yeah, you have to walk through the whole day with your breath all— If you want a crunch, man, I'm telling you, this is gonna satisfy. That was pretty like almost crack your teeth crunchy. Honestly, for the protein content and for the calories and for the pretty, pretty good flavor, like I'm gonna give this an 8.
Like I'd say a solid 8.
Yeah, I was surprised.
Yeah, I would have it again.
Yeah, I mean, you gotta, you gotta like sweet potato. It definitely is very sweet potato, sweet potato-y, but I love the crunchy to it. Like the little addition of those soy crisps, like at least I think they're soy crisps.
Those are good.
This one I don't know if I want another sip of. It's pretty— maybe no, the chunks are still there. Oh. Again, regurgitated honey Cheerios. I'm going to say like a 5 out of 10. Oh, oh, 1.
That's horrible.
It could be a lot worse.
That was horrible.
Strawberry cheesecake bar, probably an 8 out of 10 for me. Whatever this little guy is, probably an 8 out of 10. Like this one, I like it. It's not like tons of flavor. It's light.
I'm very picky with my bars. That's like a solid 4 for me.
Yeah. I kind of like that. It's just simple.
This bar, though.
I mean, that's not really a true protein bar. So the Labnosh one. Yeah. Flavor, texture. I'd give it like a 9 out of 10. It's great. But like, it's nostalgic from a protein standpoint for the amount of calories it is. That wouldn't be something that I would choose. But everybody has different macro goals. You know, I think it would be a great, like, dessert bar.
7 out of 10. How about you?
Um, I mean, I'd said 9 out of 10 for flavor, but for like practicality, for all in all folks out there, um, probably like a 6. I like these bagel crispies. Korean little bagel crispies that look like mini toast. Um, I'm gonna say an 8 out of 10 or 9 out of 10. I like them. Really satisfying. Again, really crunchy. Not too sweet.
There's not much I could relate it to. It's pretty good and one of a kind. I give it a solid 8 too.
Cookie. I'm sorry, Labnosh cookie. This probably ended up getting a 3, 4.
It's chocolate for me. I give it a 6, but it is not the best chocolate cookie I've ever had.
So yeah, that was that. Now I just went through the whole and they all, all the little protein snackies I had stored up from ordering my sunscreen. So fun fact, this is not a sponsored video by the way, but Olive Young is the company that I ordered my Korean sunscreen from. So if you also need to order really bomb Korean skincare and wanna hit an order minimum, definitely recommend some of these protein snackies to throw in there as a fun little treat. Thanks for popping along on this quick little odd video that is a different style than our typical videos. And as always, guys, if you liked this video, if you liked some of my other videos, please give us a like, subscribe to the channel. I appreciate you all and I'll see you on the next one.
Bye.
