Here are 3 things I used to do in my 20s that I am now kicking myself for in my 30s. Number 1: tanning beds. Now I'm embarrassed to say that I used to go in tanning beds, but I did. Not often, but tanning bed use in general increases your risk of skin cancer by anywhere from 25 to 75% depending on the type of skin cancer, which is terrifying. Not to mention wrinkles and aging faster. Number 2: brushing my teeth too hard. Brushing your teeth harder does not mean that your teeth are getting any cleaner, it just means that you're eroding your gum line and you probably will need gum surgery at some point, which is very expensive. So just don't do it. Get an electric toothbrush and barely touch that sucker to your teeth. Let it do its thing. And number 3: having coffee in the morning without having anything else in my stomach. Not a great idea. If you already have anxiety, makes your anxiety way worse. Also makes your stomach kind of hurt. Definitely just eat a little something with your coffee. Your stomach and your mind will thank you.
