A short YouTube monologue by Vince Reed arguing that many marketers fail because they do not capture or mirror what's going on inside their prospect's mind. He emphasizes that marketing touchpoints (titles, landing pages, next actions) must be consistent with the prospect's expectations; otherwise the prospect will 'lead the conversation', causing lost clients and revenue.

So one of the biggest marketing strategies that people fail to talk about is the fact that marketing is created, perception is created. For example, you have to capture what's going on inside your prospect's mind and it's easy to do. So this video, if someone happens to watch it, there's going to be a title. If they click on the video to watch the video and the video is about something completely different, I didn't capture what's going on inside that prospect's mind. Therefore, they're going to lead the actual conversation. It's very important with marketing. Everything has to match and balance itself. So if you put out a video and you're looking for an action, wherever they land next has to mirror or be consistent with that action. So you really want to capture what's going on inside your prospect's mind. I don't think a lot of marketers today focus on it. I think that they're losing a lot of clients and obviously losing a lot of money by not doing that.
