Short conversational transcript from a Vince Reed YouTube Shorts clip where Vince describes his attitude toward online 'haters'—he now 'loves' them, treats trolling with humor or self-deprecation, and avoids giving haters the reaction they seek. The exchange includes brief back-and-forth with an interviewer referencing trolling strategies (agreeing with a troll, self-deprecating responses).
For anyone else getting all this heat, you know, if they're rising up, you know, they get haters coming their way. How did you deal with it?
I love it.
Really?
Yeah. Like, I love the haters now. It's such a last thing, and it used to hurt so much because they can't get a reaction out of me anymore. So if you give them the reaction, that's what they want. If. Especially if someone says something really witty, a troll. Agree with them and troll yourself.
Oh, like Eminem.
Yeah. Like, just going there. That. Like, someone go. That ad is stupid. Like, it is pretty dumb. Like, it worked. I got 100.
It's like, what else.
Can they say, huh?
You know?
Yeah. So, yeah.
You'Re just making fun of yourself.
Yeah. Your moral obligation to put your product and service in front of the people who need it the most. And in your attempt to do that, you're gonna reach audiences of people who don't necessarily understand or fit what you have to offer, and that's okay. And they may not understand what you're doing, and they're gonna say what they need to say because the Internet gives everybody a voice, but you should be looking for that.
