A short YouTube interview clip where Vince Reed recounts how a wealthy VIP encouraged him to take risks (e.g., skydiving, hosting his first event) and nudged him toward new ventures. The VIP’s prompts led Reed to launch events and, concurrently, new software—actions Reed credits with opening larger opportunities and personal/professional growth.
At the event, the VIP guy told you, hey, you need to have your own.
Yeah, like, he was always doing that, man. He was always. And I don't know why, like, he didn't have to. He was already rich. He was giving you that little extra push, and I don't know if he just wanted to see if I would do it. As you can see, he got me to jump out of a plane and he got me to have an event. Every one of these things led to, you know, so many things that were much greater. So I appreciate him for that.
You start putting on your first event at the same time, though, you're going to launch a new software.
I mean, I guess, you know, just like my software company, I have now. I think software is somewhere in my DNA, because I've been trying to get it right for a long time, making a lot of mistakes, and I feel like we finally are getting it right now. But these are all things that helped me get there. But again, to my point, I learned from my mistakes, but I wish that I would have went and talked to other people who had done it before me. I would have saved myself a lot of time and money.
