We Audit On Screen Authority's Course Funnel (here's what we found)

Vince Reed and Mike audit On Screen Authority's funnel and find their brick wall opt-in page blocks 80% of traffic. They show a leaner alternative: a single video with an in-video opt-in that lets viewers start the webinar immediately, plus eboov's retargeting that fires at play, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 95% watch points.
Questions this video answers
1041 clicks, 775 leads, 74.45% conversion rate.
1235 clicks, 910 leads, 73.68% conversion rate.
Averaging anywhere from 50% to 79% conversions.
Press play (play), 25%, 50%, 75%, and 95% video-completion events.

All right, Mike, you got the target for this week's audit?
I do.
Who is it?
It is On Screen Authority.
On Screen Authority. All right, cool. All right, so just so we can see what we're chasing, last week, our funnel, we were at 1041 clicks, 775 leads, 74.45% conversion rate. This week we're at 1235 clicks, 910 leads, 73.68% commission rate.
Only 73.
Only 73%. So it's gonna be fun. Yeah. Digging this audit.
Let's do it.
Ready?
Yeah.
Hey, what's going on? Vint Reed here, founder of eboov.com and this is Mike.
What's up, everybody?
The head of operations here at eboove. And we are excited because today we're. We are doing another funnel audit.
Yes, we are.
And Mike, do you have the target? Who are we auditing today?
Today we have On Screen Authority.
On Screen Authority. I'm excited to see what we have in store. Now, what we've noticed is that most of the funnels that we see are leveraging a brick wall page. Right. And we're not really fans of brick wall pages because they block 80% of traffic. Mike, why don't you go ahead and explain what a brick wall page is so, you know, they kind of understand what we're talking about here.
Yeah. So essentially, in a standard, let's say for example, three step funnel, you would drive this page, which would have most likely an opt in form where an individual would have to place their name and information to see what's on the other side, which is the webinar or vsl, which is what you want them to see in the first place. And this essentially blocks 80% of people from opting in.
Exactly. So essentially, you send a hundred clicks to a brick wall page, 80 of them are running right into the brick wall, which leads us to checking out our funnel. So you can kind of see what we're doing here. So go ahead and pull it up, Mike. So what we do is we simply got rid of the brick wall page because my mentor taught me years ago that innovation is about removing steps, not adding more steps to your funnel. So we send traffic right to this one page. It has a headline, a sub headline, and a video. The person can press play, start watching the webinar immediately. Then we can lock the video with an in video conversion, opt in form or lead pop, and essentially the person would have to opt in to continue watching. And that form, it's mobile friendly. It integrates with pretty much 99% of the CRM companies out there. So all of your automations would continue to work, they would opt in, the video would continue to play without them ever leaving the page. So we're able to maximize a lot of the traffic. But even better, we're able to use off platform video retargeting. We call it opvr. It's another cool feature of eboov where we can build custom audiences the second a person presses play. And we can build audiences when they press play when they reach 25, 50%, 75% and 95% of the video. And then we can come back and run additional ads to those individuals we call those precision ads and stay in front of them and make more offers. And that's how we're getting the results that we have been getting. Averaging anywhere from 50 to 79% conversions.
That's right.
That's a lot you hit. All right, but let's go ahead and get into this audit. I'm excited. Let's do it. All right, so let's see who we got here.
We on screen Authority.
On Screen authority. All right, let's check.
And again, we got a screen right here. So this is when we're looking this way.
For those of you watching, I can see Mike's screen. He's recording on his laptop and I can kind of see everything he's looking at here. Yeah.

Cool. Really, really clear ad. I mean, definitely a hot niche market that he's, he's targeting because a lot of people making videos really Cool. But now it's time for the moment of truth, because a lot of people can create great ads. And, you know, often we'll blame the ad platforms for the performance, but typically it's where they land. All right, so let's go ahead and click on that learn more button and check out the funnel. All right, so the first thing I see here, and again, I'm seeing the desktop version of this clearly. I can see that this looks like it's designed for mobile because you have the three lines up top, right? And then you have the small. It's very narrow. You have the small kind of subheads, content, ads, webinars, courses, all that stuff there. And then you have more copy, you know, above the video. And then go ahead and scroll down. Okay, we've got another video. So, you know, put yourself in the shoes of the person that saw the ad. They saw the ad, they see this video. They're scrolling down, they see another video. They see a lot of stuff going on here. All right, so go ahead and go back up and go ahead and just press play on the video. Okay. We won't watch it long, but okay, cool. All right, so now what he's doing, obviously, is selling the click, right? So we saw the ad. He's selling the click. So now there's another step. We're watching this video, and again, he's saying, hey, I'm going to show you guys this training. So there's still anticipation there. Multiple steps. All right, so then go ahead and click on free training. And then bam, there's the brick wall. All right, so just so you guys are kind of fully aware, the messaging is great on this ad. The issue is, you know, guard as even people that want to know these tactics and the strategies he's going to share, okay, 80% are not going to opt in. Right. They're going to basically hit this wall, and he's going to lose some of those individuals, even though some of the people that probably may have purchased aren't going to opt in. And that's the problem, in my opinion, with the Brick wall page. Right. So before we. Before we go see the next step, I just want to look at one other thing. So click off of this.
I'll just scroll up because.
And I think it brings. So, yeah, go scroll up and then click on. Is it. So go down again and then click on that. Is that another video? Yeah, got it. So another video. So lots and lots of distractions on this. And that in itself could really affect conversions on that. Whereas if you Go to our funnel. All right, and you notice that the only thing you see is a sub, a main headline, a sub headline and the video. Right, so nothing else. Just nothing else. So all of the focus is on the video and that's the actual webinar that, you know, sells our product or service. All right, so let's go ahead and back to his funnel. Let's opt in and see what happens on the next step. All right, so we got to the next step and you can see again, definitely a page optimized for mobile. And you have the video scroll down. Is that all we see here? All right, cool. We have the upgrade my video. So go ahead and click on that. All right, so we opted in. We now see a page. We click on this and now we go to another page. It looks like that page is loading to the product.
So I would definitely look into that. Little slow in terms of lag. And then go ahead and click on checkout. So there's another click there. All right, so several steps, as you can see. So now I can buy. All right, so several steps. So let's go back to the sales video. Okay, again, so the first thing I do when I go through the funnel is I want to see how many steps the funnel has. Like I said, my mentor said, innovation is not about adding steps, it's about taking steps away. All right, so let's go ahead and watch. You know, maybe like the first 30 seconds of this, of this video here.
Probably saw an ad or some piece of content with amazing video quality along with some kind of promise that I can help you achieve the same result. Just like I did for all these people. I work with online coaches, consultants, and personal brands to streamline their content creation process so that their organic content, video ads and live calls all look and sound like Hollywood quality. With a process that takes the same amount of time and effort as just filming selfie style with an iPhone. Would you be into that? You've probably noticed that the biggest names in the online space are all making moves on their video appearance. This stuff is not scrappy and thrown together anymore. People are spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on their in house content studios, which means serious people are getting serious about this. So if you don't have that kind of cash to blow or the team to come out and film you every day, you'll probably want to hear about my solution, which costs a tiny fraction of what they spend, takes up virtually no footprint in your space, and can be operated completely by yourself with voice commands. Stick around. I'll tell you about my story and how make.
All right, so imagine if he would have locked the video right there, right. And all of the traffic would have been sent right here. Right. So that would be an example of how he could easily transition this funnel to leveraging Eboov and obviously our in video conversion technology.
Right.
All right. Now again there's a lot of copy above, right? So you have the three lines and you have, you know, only 10 minutes. Then you've got the, you know, your, your, your gear list and all this stuff. A lot of copy. I would definitely get that. Try to eliminate as much as you can. Have a main headline and a sub headline, typically who you're targeting. Right. So people, you know, trying to make professional videos and then some type of outcome right underneath is what I like to do. Now scroll down to the bottom. There's something that I want just the people watching to take note of. All right, so clearly he's wanting people to buy his product. But I think you would agree that. And Mike, you could tell me if I'm wrong that most people who purchase this or I would say a higher percentage of people who are going to buy this, are people going to likely watch this entire video?
Sure.
Not a high percentage of people are going to just click on here and then go click on that button and then like buy right away.
Yeah.
Right. And what happens in with these types of funnels is you're human, right? So someone gets to this page and they automatically see that button is visible and they're going to click it. Right? So they're going to click it and they get to the price point. So for example, let's go ahead back to, through the process and let's just take ourselves and let's just again visualize ourself. As a person that opted in, went through the process, saw the video, didn't watch it, clicked it. Now they're waiting for it to load here. Okay. They still don't see the price. They click on checkout and at this point they're now noticing the price. So897, right. Most people making videos, it's clear they should have a professional set. Improving the aesthetics of the video is going to help them. But I don't know, you know, any of the psychological triggers that he said on that video to make me want to invest this. I don't know if it's worth that. Right. And it's because I wouldn't have watched the entire video. Alright, so if you go back to our funnel, right. Imagine if you, if he just put his video on a simple page with no distractions, and he got rid of the, the button below. And then he got them to the point where we said earlier, and he locked the video. The customers would essentially opt in to continue watching. And then he could use a CTA button like us. So if you go to our funnel, they opt in, they keep watching, they see a little button at the end of the video, and then they click on, and then they can book a call. Right. And that way 100% of all the people that book calls are fully informed of what it is that we're trying to offer. In his case, he could do the exact same thing. So we can put his video on a page real quick, do a simple headline, a simple subhead, they press play, they start watching immediately. So they go right from his really cool ad right to the webinar. 100% of clicks now exposed to his webinar. He loses, you know, absolutely zero leads. They opt in, they keep watching, and then at the end he uses the CTA button and. And then they click and they go right to the page where they can purchase. Yeah, but here's the cool part. When they opt in to continue watching, he could then send an email. Okay. We call this chasing the lead. And then he could send the checkout page via email as well. So there's literally no one leaving the funnel. Meaning, like there's not, not anyone getting lost in the funnel. They opt in, they're watching all the way through, and then he's chasing the lead with the checkout page and all of his automations, you know, as they're watching. So it's sitting there waiting in their inbox.
I can just send a replay too, if, if he wants. Of the.
Absolutely. He can send the replay and anything he wants, live webinars or whatever, to his list. He's still building his list. Yeah. So anything I left out on that before we get into the real power of what we're doing here.
Yeah, And I think it's. It's good to always keep it simple because a lot of individuals that get started with eBove, they're like, Do I have to create something new specifically for eboov? You don't. Because if whatever CRM that they're currently using, you can just simply integrate that to your eboove account. But we also have an app approved in Zapier, so you can use that to connect. But whatever checkout page or schedule page that you have that you're currently using, just place that link into The CTA button at the end of your EBOO video, individual click and will be sent directly there. Nothing changes.
And then just chase the lead. All right, so, you know, I think that's really, really important now in terms of math, right? So if you pull it up, if you look at. If you think about his. His old funnels, let's go back to his Brick Wall page. Right. So how the math would work is, you know, 100% of clicks would land on the Brick Wall page in his current process. Right. Then 20% would opt in, 80% would leave. Right. And then the 20% would essentially see that next step would be. Would land on the actual video. Right. Whereas with Eboove, we can send 100% of our traffic to our page, we're getting anywhere between 50 to 79% conversions. But the key is that everybody sees the webinar regardless, which leads me to the most important part. So let's go back to his Brick Wall page. So we're on his Brick Wall page. We go to the Facebook Pixel Helper. We can see that the meta pixel has fired a page view of view content, and it looks like some type of session campaign details trigger there. Right? So go ahead and press play on his video.
If you're on video.
And then go ahead and go back.
To the Internet, you know, you're.
All right, so it's not passing any video conversion data back to the ad platform, and obviously 80% of people are leaving at this point. Right. All right, so go to. Let's go ahead and go to his actual video. All right, so let's go ahead and look at the Actually press play for actually before you hit it there.
Yeah.
Okay, so we see it fired the lead conversion, and we can see the page view. So let's go ahead and press play.
Making better videos drastically impact your help.
All right, so it's not passing any video conversion data. All right, so I'm bringing this up because a lot of people are frustrated that their ad and lead costs are going up and conversions are going down, and they're blaming their ad platform. But the real problem with ads is the fact that the platform simply doesn't know your customer. Because what's happening is when you're sending 100 clicks to your brick wall page and 80 are leaving, you're not getting that lead conversion that we see right now here on the next step. It's just showing the page view, and the ad platform views that as a loss, like it didn't do its job. All right, so if you Go back to our funnel and then go to the Pixel Helper so you can see the page view and then press Play and then pause it immediately after you do that. Here's the kicker mic. All right, so go to the Pixel Helper. You can see it fired the press play conversion immediately. All right, so this is our OP VR technology off platform video retargeting. So the second you press play, it fires that conversion. Something else we'll just kind of throw in there that you'll notice is that because Mike's recording his screen, that's implementing our DRM Digital Rights management technology, which essentially is the same technology of a Netflix or Hulu that prevents people from going into Netflix and screen recording or illegally downloading the movies. Eboov has that same technology. So because he's recording a screen, that's why the screen right now is black. But we'll go ahead and like digitally impose. Yeah, we'll show you what it would look like if it was playing. So we would essentially, with Eboo, if you press play, and not only would it pass the press play as the video continues to play, it would pass the 25%, the 50%, the 75%, and the 95% conversion action back to the ad platform. And then what we can do is we can go in and also build a custom audience on all of those events and then run precision ads back to either our webinar if they didn't. Didn't become a lead yet. And if they became a lead, we can run a precision ad back to them to our book a call page or to our product page. Right. So you can see all of those events firing. Whereas with the other funnel, K was only firing the lead conversion or the page view on the front end. So they're losing a lot of data about their customers. And this is why you see a lot of people complaining about their ad costs and lead costs going up and conversions going down. Anything on that that I might have left out?
No, that makes a lot of sense. I mean, at the end of the day, you know, the reason why, and we were talking about this earlier, that it's not necessarily the ad platforms that are causing all this trouble, it's the browsers.
Yeah, absolutely, the browsers. You know, with Firefox, which no one uses, but Safari, for example, Chrome, you know, blocks 100% of cookies, right. And then Chrome now 1% of cookies are blocked. They're planning on blocking them all users. A lot of these issues are causing tracking issues and not, you know, the platforms aren't getting the data that they used to, which means it makes it harder for them to get in front of your ideal customer. So with EBOO technology, passing more conversion data back to the platform is what is allowing us to get in front of the right customer. Which is why you see us getting, you know, 73% conversion rate on our most recent campaign.
Yeah, absolutely.
Really? That simple? All right, so real quick, I would tell people this. Just kind of a side note. You know, it's really math, right? If you are saying the right things, okay, you have a clear ad, like, you know, this guy did. And if you're saying the right things on your vsl, which he did, you know, he has almost a moral obligation to put it in front of the people who need it the most. Putting it behind a brick wall page just, you know, isn't effective, and it's preventing people from getting the help that they need. Right? And now that we have this ability to capture those leads and then retarget and do all these cool things, it's pretty cool to see. And I think it's pretty clear to probably people watching why we're getting the results that we are. Absolutely awesome. So for my man here who we just critiqued, got some options. Keep doing what he's doing, or you can slap that brick wall page, start using Nvidia conversion technology and off platform video. Off platform video. We're targeting technology and crush it.
I'm sure you're doing well. I mean, we're here to help. I mean, we're here just to.
No, no. We're here to make a musebooth and everybody else watching.
That's what I mean.
That's all I got.
Or at least faster sales.
Later.
