A short YouTube clip by Vince Reed using a club-line anecdote to illustrate how customers feel excluded or annoyed when not connected. Reed argues that successful selling is about creating a connection and articulating the customer's feelings—not the product features—and that a business's list/database is the primary asset for surveying and making offers tied to that feeling.

Have you ever been to a club and you're in line and then someone pulls up and they get out with a bunch of people and then they walk up and they pull the thing and they walk in and you're outside? How did that feel? Tell me.
That's what the person has to feel. They don't want that. Would you pay $97 or free to not feel what you feel? Even though it didn't. Nothing really happened. It's just annoying. And then when you make offers, it has nothing to do with the things that you think you're selling. It has to do with that connection. And if you can figure out a way to articulate that feeling, then you're going to win.
