And I'll also talk about how we can stay connected if you're interested in reinventing yourself and finding out more information for yourself or for someone that you care about. So without further ado, I'm going to introduce today's guest speaker, and her name is Wani Iris Manly. Hi, Wani!
Hi, Serena! Thank you for having me.
It's a pleasure to have you here. What time is it over in Paris?
It's 12 o'clock midday in Paris.
Very nice. So we're about 8 hours apart. We're 8 hours ahead of you and it's nighttime for us here. So Wani, tell us, how did you happen to reinvent yourself and what is your reinvention story like?
I think my reinvention story started when I got on a spiritual path in 2009, but it really culminated at the end of 2010 when I actually came to Paris. And essentially what happened was that on New Year's Eve that particular year, I didn't go out and party or celebrate with friends that particular year. I actually stayed in my apartment and I literally was like looking at my life and analyzing it and going through a very tight scrutiny of what was going on with me. I was having a very terrible year at that time. Going from a breakup, of having money issues with my businesses, and I just was not in a very good place. And I did a ritual where I literally spent the entire day looking at my failures, what I had accomplished, looking at my belief structures, and at the end of the day, I wrote down everything I wanted to be, do, or have or experience in the following year. And I began having this experience of me having a plethora of signs that were pointing me to Paris, France, the Riviera, and in the beginning there was about 5 to 7 signs per day, and I just kind of continued to follow and to monitor it, and so about 2 months after that, I came to Paris to see what the signs were all about, I didn't get a message at all. And I went to the French Riviera. I went everywhere except Saint-Tropez. And while I was in Monaco, I finally got a message that my life was transitioning from a lawyer to a writer. I was actually very disappointed because I had started doing some blogging at the time for a very well-known French writer in the personal development, spirituality genre. And so I went back to Miami thinking so much was for that. However, the signs continued to occur for a solid a year, they actually increased. And sometime in August, my heart just spoke to me and said, move, you know, move to Paris. So I basically sold all of my things. I sold my apartment that I had. I gave away most of my things that I had, threw it in charities, and I came to Paris. I didn't know a single person. I didn't know a word of the language. I came in the winter, which I absolutely hate the winter. And I didn't have a plan A or a plan B or a plan C. So, and I was forced to reinvent myself. And so what has transpired is I've become an author, a writer. I've written 2 books. I'm gonna write my 3rd book getting tomorrow in September. And so I've completely transformed my life into something I never ever thought that it would actually be like, and it's just amazing.
That is fantastic, and I can't wait for all of us to hear more about it and for you to go right into your slide presentation. So I'm gonna click stop share here, and I'm also gonna take myself off video and let you take over.
Okay, thank you.
Let's see, so you can do your share screen now.
Okay, let's see if I remember.
You will.
Bear with me, everybody. Okay. Are you able to see me now, my slides or no?
No, I can still— I see you, not just your slides yet. So you might need to click the stop video to take yourself off camera and also do the share screen.
Okay.
Okay, so you're off camera now.
Okay.
Yep. So if you click share screen, your slides should come up.
Okay. What about now?
Um, you're back on camera.
Okay, see— Hi guys! Sorry to interject one here. If you wiggle your mouse, you should see the toolbar down at the bottom. And there should be the mute button, the start video, about the 5th icon, and there should be a little icon saying share screen. Okay, I'm not— Click on that. Okay. Yep, and then choose your slide content. Okay, now do you see it?
I do, yeah.
If you just click, um, um, uh, slideshow. Okay, how about now? Perfect. Okay, thank you so much. And you can just turn your video on and off as you want to. Okay, so everybody can see me?
Yeah.
Sorry guys, I'm definitely a novice at this, so I'm going to be 100% transparent. So Anyway, I am Wani Iris Manly. Thank you guys for having me. And thank you, Serena. Thank you, Dave. I am a speaker. I'm a money success coach. I'm also an intuitive soul reader by giving readings. And I'm absolutely— I'm the bestselling author of a book called Get Out of Survival Mode and Live the Life You Really Want, which was recently just published this past February. I am also a corporate attorney, and I hate cooking. I love champagne, house music, and I've lived in 5 countries. And I'm living in Paris right now, and I'm absolutely obsessed. The Eiffel Tower. This is my baby, my firstborn. I don't have children yet, but my book is actually like my first child, so I'm very, very pleased with it, and you can actually find it on Amazon. It's available in both paperback and also to a digital Kindle copy, and soon it'll also be available on iTunes as well. So my big why, you know, my theme and my inspiration is actually living the life that I really, really want, and my big why for me, quite frankly, is that, you know, living life inspiration and not living life that I really want, it's just non-negotiable for me. For me, I flat out to live any other way. My biggest fear in life, I call what I say is I don't want to be a shoulda, coulda, woulda, but I didn't do it. Meaning I should have done what I wanted to do, I could have done what I wanted to because I had every opportunity to do so, I would have if I didn't have, you know, X, Y, and Z excuse, I didn't do it. And so that's my biggest, that's what drives me in life is to really, you know, not reach the end of my deathbed and have regrets and say, I should have done this, I had every opportunity, because I am very, very aware that I have a very blessed life. And so for me, it's simply not an option for me to not be living the life that I really want because we're very blessed and we have the power of choice. And so today I am going to speak to you what I believe are the 8 steps to living the life you really want. This is what has really helped me to create the life that I have right now, which is I'm living in Paris. I live, you know, and I live here for most of the year. Then I would go back to Miami where I'm from. For the winter. I have a freedom-based business where I do, and I'm an attorney. I also have my law firm. I'm also a coach as well too. So I'm also an author and a speaker, and I travel the world and I, you know, and I'm living this dream sort of life that I never ever thought I'd be living for myself. So the 8 tips that I've actually have found for me are step 1, saying yes to you and to your desires. Step 2 is deciding exactly what you want in life. Step 3, which has been so huge for me, is living with intention. Step 4 is going on a just say no campaign. Step 5 is getting out of your comfort zone. Step 6, which is so, so important, which is self-love and the relationship you have with yourself. Step 7 is opening up to receiving. And step 8, we're going to talk about money because it's so very important. So the first thing, the first step is that you actually have to say yes. And you know what? It's not even saying yes to yourself, but you have to say, oh my God, You got yes to yourself. Okay. So in other words, what am I really getting at? This is really, you have to say yes to you. You have to choose you. And this requires for you to be actually selfish. Okay. I can tell you for me that things did not start to manifest in my life until I decided to put my feelings first, to put my desires first, to recognize what they were and to say yes to me and to start giving myself permission to have, be, and to do whatever I wanted. Because I've always— we're all inherent do-gooders and do-givers but we overly give especially women you know? We're always putting our needs last and other people's before ours and it just doesn't quite work that way so for me things really started to shift when my life was sure to bat for Wani Iris Manly when I stood up to myself permission say "you know what?" My life matters and I always matter and what I want has to take first and foremost presence over anything else if it doesn't work then... If it isn't gonna be that way than I cannot be of service at all other people. Okay. So you really, really have to choose yourself first. You know, even if you have children, you know, or even if you're married, even in a relationship with somebody, because you're, as we'll talk about in step number 6, you will find that your relationship will be much, much better with your family, with your loved ones, if you are actually choosing you and putting your needs first before other people. So yes, you do have to be selfish. And another thing is like, you know, we are in this movie called our life and we are the star of it. But for some reason we spend so much of our lifetime being an extra in our very own movie. And rather than us taking the front and center stage, we're playing small in life. And that's only because we're not choosing ourselves. We have a lot of issues with self-worth and, you know, how do we feel about ourselves. But we really have to step up, stop being an extra, stop being behind the scenes, and actually take center stage in our own movies. And that's when your life will really, really start to transform. At the very beginning, it really has to— you has to start with you saying yes to you. Step 2, deciding what you really, really want. And I found this when I was presenting this PowerPoint presentation, I was looking for slides or the corresponding photos. I really, really like this photo because if you look at it, it says, "The minute you choose to do what you really want to do, it's a different kind of life for you." I can tell you for me, for most of my life, I've always been very indifferent. When you ask me what I wanna do, I'm always like, "You know, I don't care." I'm always like, I'm very kind of, not really wishy-washy, but really genuinely actually kind of being indifferent. But I realized to me, with the universe, when you're wishy-washy and kind of, oh, I don't really care, or you know what, sipa graave, we say in French, you know, the universe actually reflects that back to you. But when you really decide what you really want to do with yourself and what you really want in life, life then begins to bring it to you. So the first thing is you really have to choose. And you know, this really means you have to take the time and you really have to get in touch with your deepest desires and honor them, okay? And some of us, a lot of us are denying what we really, really, really want, okay? We're thinking it's too selfish, it's not for other people. Maybe some of us really want material wealth and society tells us we shouldn't want that. Whatever the case may be, I can tell you something, you cannot sweep your desires under the rug and not expect your inner child to have a rebellion against you. Whatever it is you want. If you want to have a 5-star life, if you want to fly first class, if you want to have, you know, you know, a house full of cats, whatever it is you want, allow yourself to have it. You know, stop making your desires wrong. Stop thinking they're not, um, they're not, you know, uh, service-oriented, you know, they're not, you know, whatever-oriented. But if it's whatever you really want, ask yourself, you know, put your hand on your heart and say, you know what, what do I really want? If I didn't have the worries about if I didn't think about my family or whatever it is, you know, just ask yourself and allow yourself to actually dream and to have and to express exactly what it is and put it on paper. Once you figure out what that is, say yes to it. Not even a yes, but say, oh hell yes, meaning giving yourself permission to have it. I can tell you for me, I struggled for most of my life. I was living in survival mode, meaning like living in lack. You know, a lot of it's about money, but I didn't realize it was like an under issue about really how I felt about myself. I had a big, I'm not good enough. Story going on. I'm not worthy. I'm not deserving. These were all subconscious. I wasn't aware of them, you know, but really once I started to, you know, to work through those issues and really honor or to begin to explore what I really wanted for myself, the kind of life that I wanted to live, and I took responsibility for the fruition of it, meaning I wasn't putting on somebody else, meaning I wasn't saying, okay, I'm going to marry guys. I'm giving you all that, but really saying, you know what, This is what Wani wants and I'm taking responsibility to give it to myself. Meaning whatever I need to do mentally, spiritually, psychologically to really take ownership of my desires and to make them come true, I'm going to do it. Another thing is that you really have to remove the stakeholders you have in your life. What I mean by stakeholders are who are the people in your life that you are giving so much power to as to how you're living your life. A lot of us are living lives of according to our parents. You know, that's why in the age of like 40 to 45, and I think for men it's a little bit higher, we have what they call the midlife crisis. And you really have to reinvent yourself, which is the title of this webinar, students, because what it is, is like we spend so much of our time, of the majority of our life, you know, not living the life we really want. We're living a life to please our mom and dad. For me, it was my father. My fam is from Liberia, West Africa. My father was a former minister of finance. And so in my culture, being a doctor or lawyer was highly regarded, you know, but at the end of the day, I'm a writer, I'm a teacher, I'm a people connector, you know. If I would have said to my father, I want to be a writer, he would have said to me, you can't make any money doing that, you know. And so, you know, I love practicing law, you know, but I also realized that my passion is what I'm actually doing right now, which is writing, which is speaking, which is coaching. And actually, you know, you know, it's much more bigger platform for me to actually solve. So I have had to have the task of removing those stakeholders, my father, you know, the society, the American society. I've had to remove what the conditioning was in my life of what I needed to be as a Black woman, as an African woman, you know. And so I really had to get in touch with, okay, what do I want? And to remove all of these people that were putting in— I had given them my power to dictate what my life needed to be like. When I did that, then things really began to open up, okay. And so let me get back, let's go down to this whole phrase of I don't know. Sometimes when you really start to discover what you really want, it's not very easy because a lot of it's because we're not really used to asking ourselves and really getting deep down into knowing what we really want. So sometimes when you begin to ask that question, what comes up is I don't know. And a lot of us hang out in I don't know for a very long time, and it's a trap. You always know, and I always go by this acronym of YAK. YAK is Y-A-K, you always know. What you want, and all you need to do is like literally put your hand on your spiritual heart. There's your physical heart on the left-hand side. The door to your spiritual heart, which is the heart of intelligence, is actually on the left-hand side. So literally put your hand right here, close your eyes, and just ask yourself, what do I really, really, really want? And access it, and just trust me, if you're patient enough, you will get the answer, okay? Your heart wants you to be aware of that. It wants to give it to you, so just get in touch with it and really decide today what you really want without all of the conditions, without all of the what-ifs, if that, whatever, but just like literally say, what do I really want from me? Because I can say to you, until you really get in touch with what you really want, the rest of what I'm going to share with you won't really make any sense or really would not, it won't come to fruition for you because you really have to have, you have to come from or have a starting place, a foundation, your foundational pieces. What do I really, really want? And I give myself permission to to fully have it and to experience it. And the second step is living my intention. And God bless, this is one of my favorite quotes from the late Wayne Dyer, who we've had his, he died about a year ago yesterday, so yesterday was his one-year anniversary. And his favorite, one of my favorite quotes from him comes from him, which says, "Our intention creates our reality," which is absolutely true. And for me, this has been, I would say when I got on the spiritual path, of truth, of awareness, of liberation, of enlightenment. This for me by far had the most significant impact because I was never ever ever taught about intentions, what it actually meant. You see, intentions, not only do they create your reality, but they actually sets up what shows up in your life for you. You must become intentional with your life. You must become strategic with your life. Going back to what I said before, you can't be in whatever mode. You can't be, I'll take whatever. You really need to be, intention about what you want, and you need to be laser focused on your intentions and your desires because again, you're creating everything that's happening to you, and you are the creator of your life with the divine. We're all co-creators in this whole beautiful dance of life, and you have the power of free will to choose whatever you want. You can experience whatever you want. And so for me, this was the single most factor in my spiritual path in my life right now. And I literally, I set intentions for everything. I'm going to share with you how you actually set intention. I learned from my spiritual teacher. So basically, You set the intention of, let's just say you want to become financially free, and basically what you do is I close my eyes, I just say, you know what, I set the intention to release any negative condition that's in the way of me achieving financial abundance. You can have whatever you want, and I literally repeat the name of God 11 times. If the name of the word God bothers you, you can actually say another word. You can say yes, you can say your favorite color. The only point of repeating the name of God or the name of you know, of anything you want. It's literally just to fixate your intention. It's to fixate, fixate your mind, to be very focused on your intention. And you just say, for me, I like the word God. I don't have a whole lot of, you know, negative connotation that, you know, that God, the word, it listens to many people. So I always see the word God, and you repeat it 11 times, and you like, you literally hold whatever it is that you want to achieve in mind, but you hold it as a to say it's already true in this moment right now, which is the only moment there is. And as you're done, and once you feel within your heart, within your entire being, the intention being fully in the present moment, you just say, "And so it is, and so it will be," and you let it go. And so you can set intentions for everything. I mean, I set intentions for what I want to let go of, what I want to become, what I want to have, what do I want to achieve. I set intentions every single day all day long. Literally, I do nothing without setting intention over. Even when I bless my food in the night, when I take any meal, even if it's water. And so I was saying with you, you can set— like I said before, you can set intentions for everything. But the mother of all intentions to set is the intention to be the energy of love. And now why is that? Because you see, everything that you see in the universe, the true essence of it is actually love. No matter what you're looking at, no matter how it appears as solid matter, what it is really made of is love. Love is what creates the universe. Love is what makes harmony in your life. And so when you are setting the intention to let go of all of your negative, non-loving feelings about yourself, all of your negative beliefs and darkness you're actually holding about yourself that's not even true in the first place, and you come into line with the energy of love, everything, everything, everything, everything works out. I can tell you right now, when I first got on spiritual path in 2009 and my teacher said to me, Wani Iris Manly Iris Manly Iris, everything you're facing in your life is because you're not loving yourself. But I didn't believe him at the time. At the time, I was really struggling financially with my law firm. I was coming out of a breakup, and so I was really fixated on clearing my money karma, you know. And he was like, it's not about the money, it's literally about how you feel about yourself. I can tell you right now, 5 years later, where my life right now is completely centered on being the energy of love, everything has corrected itself because I'm in harmony with the universe. And so for me, my prayers are very simple, my intentions is much more concise, and it's literally to be the energy of love and to love myself and to really start a love revolution with myself, in which I will share with you in my fourth slide about the self-love piece. But it's so very, very important to set this intention and to be really intentional about your life. Okay? Ah, my favorite, the Just Say No campaign. Love this slide, love this woman. So what I mean by going on a Just Say No campaign, I don't know if most of the people that are on here audience is actually from, but in the US we had several years ago, I think like during the Bush presidency where he was talking about just say no campaign to drugs. And so that's where I'm actually getting this from. So what I mean by this is that you really have to clean house. You have to get rid of everything in your life that isn't in alignment with what you really want, what you really desire, because you cannot ask for the new. You cannot ask to have a new life and to live a life that you really desire if you're still holding on the things that needs to be cleared out that isn't in alignment with where you're going.. And so if you are wanting, you know, if you want them to be in a high, you know, to have be in higher vibrations, if you want it to be a much more of a higher power player in this universe, to really step up, you cannot be in negativity. You cannot be hanging out with people that are telling you you're not good enough, or people that are drinking excessively, that are not really in the same vibrations where you actually looking to be. So, you know, I don't care what it is, and I know it's very hard for us because we're so attached to it, but I'm saying to you right now, as someone who's gone through the process, you have to let go of people, of places, of things. You have to let go of whatever you're attached to that is dragging you down, that has literally no place in your life anymore for where you're trying to go. You have to let it go. And yes, you may hurt some people. Yes, it may hurt you, but I'm saying to you that you just can't have it both ways. You just cannot want to be here and you're still vibrating down here. It just would not work. And so in order for you have to have congruency with who you are fully, with who you're around, with whom you listen to, with whom you're paying attention to. So whatever it is, you really have to get rid of it. And I'm sorry, I mean, sometimes it may be breaking up with people in relationships. It may be moving. It may be, you know, getting rid of things you've held on for a very, very long time. You know, for me, you know, I'm constantly giving and purging, like giving stuff away. Like even this week, I'm going to like I completely give away more stuff that I own because I really want to make room for new in my life. And you may think that it doesn't matter. You may think like all the clutter that you actually have in your life is not affecting your ability to manifest, but it's quite the contrary because again, we work in a harmonious universe where everything is in flow. And so if you are stuffed up, if you're blocked in any kind of way with old stuff that's not serving you, even if it's beliefs, the new cannot come in. So I really cannot share with you this, which is my my favorite absolute quote in the universe, which is from Yana Vincent, where she says, "You can't get what you want until you learn to say no to what you don't want." I swear, I don't have any tattoos, but if I were ever to get one, which I would never, but this is what I would actually have tattooed on my body. But literally when I first heard this from you guys, it really shook me so hard and I was just like, it's so freaking true. Like you can't, get what you want. You cannot ask the universe to give me this, give me that, give me this if you're still tolerating things that you don't want. It's just so clear, you know, but you know, you really have to like, you know, take it off the screen and like literally apply it to you because I'm telling you, once you do, things just kind of like, just kind of like just rushes into your life because you're literally saying, you know what, like I always say to the universe, you know, I'm not available for X, Y, and Z. I'm not available to be thinking lack anymore. I'm not available to be working with people that don't value me or that can't, you know, that can't, you know, value or appreciate my service. You know, I'm not available for whatever is not my favorite mantras, whatever it is I don't want in my life anymore. I said to the universe, I'm not available for that anymore. I'm not available to be thinking negative. I'm not available to be saying to myself I'm not good enough anymore and manifesting that. So really take inventory of your life and look at what in your life is not working from a mental level, from a physical level, to an environmental level, to an operational level, to a professional level. If it's not working out, if it's not resonating with you, if you're not waking up out of bed every day super excited, get rid of it. I mean, I just can't be any more blunt. Literally, please, y'all, the Just Say No campaign, okay? Remember this quote by Iyanla Vincent. The next one is getting out of your comfort zone. I'm sure many of you have probably seen this diagram before, but life is fundamentally about growth and change. I know that we're not really taught that, but it really is what we're— it's all what evolution is actually about. The animals seem to get this. They're able to adapt, but for some reason, as human beings, we don't seem to actually understand that this is what life really is. But in order for you to manifest the life that you really, really want, you have to get out of your comfort zone.. You have to take risks because I'm going to tell you right now that for me, when I go back and I think about my life, which has been very, very extraordinary, everything I've ever done, every great thing that's ever come into my— even every good thing has ever come into my life is because I've come out of my comfort zone. I have literally have acted when I wasn't quite ready. I've done things when I wasn't quite sure of myself. I put myself out to look like a fool or to be ridiculed or to, You know, to have people say to me, you know, you don't know what you're talking about, but I can say to you, whenever I've done that, I have had so much amazing rewards that has come to me because I have literally put myself out there naked in the sense of metaphorically speaking. And I literally have come out of my comfort zone because I can tell you for me right now, nothing is happening in your comfort zone. Absolutely nothing. If you're comfortable where you are, then great. Stay there. At the end of the day, if you like it, I love it. If you really are happy where you are, then stay where you are. But if you're really, really seeking change, which I am sure that everyone that has shown up on this webinar is on the same page, you literally have to be uncomfortable, okay? And so I would say to you, you know, the thing that has been very key for me is I always pray and I set the intention to be comfortable with being uncomfortable. I cannot say for me, I literally, for me right now, What I do is I literally, I ask the universe every day to have courage. You know, I stopped asking for stuff, you know, because, you know, when you're young, you know, you really don't quite know. You want things, you know, you want to have, you know, material, material things. There's nothing wrong with it, but I can tell you right now, for me, my prayers, my intentions, like, is all energy-based because I know that when my energy is clear, when I'm actually vibrating the energy of love, of compassion, or gratitude, all the material things that I want, they just show up with me without even having to work for it, you know, or actually exerting very, very little effort. And so for me, I ask for courage. I ask to, you know, to be able to see the opportunities that are before me that I may not be seeing because I'm there, you know, it's not in my comfort zone, it's not my comfort level. So for me, I'm always asking to be uncomfortable. And living in Paris has really, really helped because I've been here for 4 years and I have not been learning, I have not been able to speak French. So for me, I've been living in this like lonely universe of living like in Twilight Zone, but it's very uncomfortable not being, you know, always having to be fully concentrated, always having to like, you know, pay attention because you're not quite picking up everything you're saying. But I can say to you, for me, I'm super comfortable being uncomfortable. It doesn't bother me at all. And I can say to you, so I'm always making that choice because I know that, guys, the magic really, really is out of your comfort zone. So whatever it is you're uncomfortable with, do something about it. Like, every single day, you know, take a small step. You know, ask yourself, you know, have I been uncomfortable today? Like, you know, have I been a little bit uneasy? I'm not talking about danger, you know, that's a big difference. But I'm saying to you, like, are you really pushing yourself? You know, are you really exerting yourself? You know, so put yourself to make yourself uncomfortable. I'm gonna give you like a very, very great Hindu, uh, trick that a lot of, um, yogis and yoginis would have named it, which is taking cold cold showers. I take a cold shower every day. I start off the shower warm, but at the end of it, I literally turn the warm water off and I put the cold water on full blast to shake up my energy and to make myself super uncomfortable. So I start my day getting my body, my emotions, my cells open to the uncomfortable. And so for me, it's like, you know, I can do it now. So that's like a very simple, easy trick you can actually start to embody to get yourself, if you're not used to taking risks, if you're not used to, you know, to taking, to being out of your comfort zone. Okay? The next one is self-love and the relationship you have with yourself, which is so, so, so, so important because as I said to you before, I realized for myself that you cannot manifest anything good in your life, no matter what it is, if you're feeling like crap about yourself, you don't love yourself, right? And a lot of us don't really want to admit that we don't love ourselves. Because it's not something we're used to. We all want to put our best selves forward, especially in social media nowadays. We're all aware, we all are wearing a mask, every last one of us. We all just want to say, okay, we have everything together, but at the end of it all, underneath it all, we're wounded. We all are like 5 and 7-year-old wounded adults that are looking for love. And you have to make the relationship with yourself the most important thing. Because you cannot manifest anything good if you are telling yourself on a subconscious level, "I'm not good enough. I'm ugly. I'm pretty. I can't do it. It's difficult. It's too hard. I'm not worthy," because you will always be manifesting from that energy and nothing can come out of that. And so your self-love and taking responsibility for loving yourself has to be your focal point for your life and for all your relationships because if you will never be able to achieve anything in your life I don't care how much, how good your marketing is. I don't care how good your website is. I don't care what dog and pony show you're actually putting out there for everybody else to see. But at the end of the day, your inner voice, your inner life, I mean, it's always between yourself anyway. I mean, you are always living with yourself no matter where you go. You take your best friend with you. That is your mind. That is your consciousness. So if you're not, it's not from a loving energy, you cannot feel good about yourself. So the self-love, you really have to You have to love yourself, and I will say to you, you know, we're never taught how to love ourselves because we're taught, at least in American society, is that the scheme is, you know, you're supposed to get love from other people. So I was never— I don't know anybody in my life who was ever taught, baby, love yourself and, you know, and say I love you to yourself. But for me, you know, I was taught, you know, the love is supposed to come from outside of you, and it's no, it comes from inside of you. So you really have to take ownership and just be passionate and to recognize your beauty, your truth, your light, and like who you really are and embrace all of that, even your imperfections. You know, like right now I can tell you, you know, I'm a little— my thighs a little bit bigger. I'm living in France, I've discovered pain au chocolat, I'm, you know, I drink a lot of wine because the culture, so I'm a little bit, you know, not as thin as I used to, but I love myself anyway. And so for me, I would say to you, start a love love revolution with yourself, meaning every single day just say to yourself, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you. Like say it so much that literally that those 3 words start to become the most familiar words that your subconscious mind hears. Now when you start to do it, it'll feel very foreign to you. It'll feel very fake. I mean, it'll feel like, no you don't. You may even hear your voice inside you saying, no you don't. You may even hear all of your negative self-talk, if you just keep on and keep on and keep on and just understand the power of the word love, it will transform your entire life. And so it may take a couple, for me it took a couple of months, it really did, but I was at it. And no one needs to know, you can do it like while you're doing anything, while you're walking, while you're cooking, while you're working, just, I love you, I love you, I love you. Or I do it out loud now too, when I wake up in the morning, I'm like in the mirror, I look myself in the mirror and I'm like, hi beautiful, I love you. Because you know what? No one's gonna tell you, you love you. I'm single, or I'm in a relationship, I live by myself. My boyfriend's not, we don't live together, so I take responsibility. Even if we were living together, it's not my responsibility, or it's not his, to tell me to love me. If he chooses to, great, but at the end of the day, this is my body, this is my being, and I take responsibility of loving me fully. And so just please start with I love you, and if you want to grow, and then self-care. You know, a lot of us were not taught how to really be beautiful with ourselves and how to really, um, to take the attention and to really, you know, on a daily basis. I'm not talking about as a reward, because I can tell you right now, like, a lot of us, like, we work really, really hard and say, you know what, then I deserve a massage. But no. Make self-care a daily habit for yourself, because when you're loving yourself a lot more, when you're physically taking care of yourself, you're eating proper nutrition, you're getting enough rest, you're monitoring your vices such as drinking or smoking, whatever it is for you, or chocolate cookies, or, you know, croissants or whatever, you know, you are in a different energy. You're in a, you know, you're in an energy— remember, this whole earth, this whole, this whole universe is all about vibration. So whatever it is you want to, you want to manifest in yourself, you've got to manifest a very, very good wholesome place and your energy needs to be right. So if your health is out of whack or if you're tired, if your neck is hurting, you will not be able to work properly, you won't be able to think properly. So your self-care, as long as you loving yourself, really has to be taken— has to work tangibly with you to actually to help you to be much more, to be open, to be more vibrant, to be much more of a better receiver to receive what you're actually asking for, which takes me to the next slide of voilà, opening up to receiving. Now, this is something for me that I had no idea up until like literally this weekend that this is what was really blocking me, okay? Learning how to receive is a must for you because a lot of us, especially if we're on entrepreneur journeys, we're asking, we're doing this, we're like, we're going forward, taking action, this is the next but we're not letting in, we're not stopping, and we're not letting things come into receiving. What I can say to you that receiving, it's nothing that you physically have to do. What's blocking you, what's keeping you from receiving or having life you really want is just blocks to your right, and it's all energy. For me, I discovered, and I had to like do a little bit more of study of it, like the number one block to receiving is guilt. You know, and a lot of it comes from Christianity and religion because we're just taught, like, we've always been taught that giving is much more and it's important to give than it is to receive, which is not true. Giving and receiving are actually equal, you know, and so a lot of us, as I said, we're doers, we're inherent do-givers, we're inherent do-getters, but we're suck at receiving. Like, it's like we will give our whole heart, we'll exhaust ourselves, but we will not allow people to do other things for us. You know, like someone gives you a compliment, "Oh, I like your shirt." "This is so old," or "You look pretty." Really? Like, we're just— we don't really receive. We don't allow things to come in. We always want to give out, and you know you can't. You know, everything in life is in flow. You know, what goes in must come out, whatever it is you want. So in order for you to manifest, to have, to be, to do whatever it is you want, you gotta let it come in. And so the block, the number one block is guilt. I mean, I discovered for myself that I had a block of even feeling guilty because just to be guilty. I mean, it was when I really started to have my subconscious mind like flood my— flood me with all of my guilt paradigm. I was blown away on Friday night and I was, I can't— no wonder that things have been difficult for me because I've been feeling super guilty. So, you know, I've been blocking help from coming. I've been doing everything on my own. I've been this big martyr. And freedom fighter, and it's just like, it's exhausting. So check your guilt level, look at your inner beliefs of I'm not worthy, I don't deserve, I'm not good enough. These were Ashley's second cousins, I call them, of the whole guilt paradigm. But whatever it is, all of that blocks your energy to receive. And so I learned a very, very powerful meditation from a, um, a Hay House author, Jennifer Grace, um, in Miami. Where I'm from, and it's called the I Receive Meditation. It's so beautiful, and it's basically very simple, and you can do it every morning for 5 minutes before you start meditation. So basically, you literally just open your— or close your eyes, and you just like breathe in and out, and you just inhale a golden light, and you silently say, "I receive," and then on your exhale, you just visualize white light, and you say, "I give." I receive, I give, I receive, I give. You do it for like about 10 minutes, you will feel so good. You start to become like in the rhythm of life and you really start to just be in the energy of receiving. So I highly recommend this meditation. And the last thing I want to talk about is financial abundance because you know what, you really cannot have a life you really want if you're broke, if you're struggling with money. I really love this quote by Pharrell, "Wealth is the ability to fully receive and to experience life." Honestly, guys, you really have to have your financial crap together because, I mean, being broke literally sucks. Being in an energy of always living in survival mode, I lived there for years, where you're struggling with money and not really knowing how you're going to make ends meet, where you're literally playing this Robin Peter to pay Paul every month. It just sucks. The living energy out of you. And so money is not only important, it's extremely important. And I know that, you know, there's this whole belief that we have that money doesn't buy happiness, that money is evil, and it's just so, so, so not true. So I cannot stress how important it is to really get your money— to become money conscious, to build your wealth consciousness daily by reading Wani Iris Manly's book. We'll talk a little bit more about later, but I really want to be monetary mindful of time. And I think I'm going to turn this back over to Serena right now.
Thank you so much, Wani Iris Manly Iris Manly.
That's—
wow, there's so much gold in what you've been talking about. And I've been taking notes as you went along sharing your presentation. And I also want to take this opportunity to acknowledge the people who are live in the room with us. We have Chili and Kat and Lindsay and Regina and Trace. Thank you all for joining us live. It's wonderful to have you here. And there's been a very lively chat going on as well. I don't know if you can see the chat room from your end, Wani Iris Manly Iris Manly. But so I just want to read out a couple of things. So Cat has said, I struggle with doing what I want as a way to learn to love myself and it just being downright selfish. Does anyone else have this challenge?
Can I go ahead and answer that?
Yes, please do.
Okay, I would say, you know, that really comes— you really have to— I'm sorry, her name was Kat, correct, Serena?
That's right, that's right, it's Kat.
Okay, yeah, we all have that struggle because we all, like I said, that are all inherent do-gooders and do-givers, you know. And so you really have to recognize that you matter, that your desires, that what you want is the most important, and your happiness and your fulfillment is actually like your number one priority, you know. Because if you can't be happy with yourself, if you're not honoring your desires, you will not be available for anybody else. And so until you have to really look within yourself and see that you are worthy, that you are, you know, that this is your birthright to give into yourself, to feel exactly how you want to feel, and to be happy with what you want to be happy with. And that's, you know, you really have to start from the entrance of like looking at how your self-worth and how you feel about yourself. So do the I Love You practice if you're not doing it already, if you're never— if it's a foreign concept to you, like I said, we have the same on here, but Once you really start to begin to love yourself, you really then begin to take ownership and to see Spock abroad. You know what? I really matter. Like, my life, what I want, my desires for me is top priority. And it'll really shift for you. But I just want you to know it won't happen overnight. It is a process, but trust the process and keep working on it.
That's a brilliant response. I really like what you said about trusting the process. Process, because I think sometimes we, when we get started on doing anything that's new and unfamiliar, we do get caught up in the conflicting emotions that we feel, and then we give up a bit too soon. So when you trust the process and you persist with it, I think that's where you start seeing some changes. And in any case, new habits, they do say, take 30 days to establish. So I think it's really important to persevere.
Absolutely. You know, I would just say to, hey, listen, I'm in France and I've been living for 4 years without speaking French and all of a sudden I speak French now. So really trust the process. I mean, I know like for me, you know, I grew up on the whole Burger King and microwave culture and everything happened very quickly and in 2 seconds. But, you know, with life, it doesn't quite work that way, especially when it comes down to reinventing yourself, to really discovering who you are and really living in a different light and really moving and letting go of all of the negative untruths that we've been living in our life. It takes time. It really takes time to really reprogram your mind to really begin to honor and to discover your own self-worth. But once you do, honey, it's golden. Your life would just be so much better when you do. But you don't just keep at it. I mean, I'm 41 and I can tell you for me, like I'm in my prime right now and it took me a long time. Uh, you know, first of all, I was, I was oblivious to all that. I had all this like subconscious programming, but I can say I've been working at it since 2009 and it's 2016. And so, You know, I went through the many dark nights of the soul of really facing all of my crap, as I said, but I stuck with it. And I can tell you right now, I'm glowing, I'm happy, but it was a process. It really, really was.
Yes, and processes take time to manage and to clear. So, another comment here from the chat room, and this is from Kat as well, and she says that she realizes the core of most of her decisions in life are born of a reaction to guilt and that we can be so hard on ourselves. What is your comment on that, Wani Iris Manly?
My comment? Absolutely. You know, we are nothing but guilt-serving machines, you know, and a lot of it, we have so many shoulds in our mind, you know, and, you know, I'm not downgrading anyone's religion, but a lot of our programming comes from religion. I can tell you right now, for me, religion serves a basis for it, but there's been all this morality that we have embedded in our minds of how we are supposed to act. And so all of us are living according to shoulds that are not ours. And so again, going back to, I think the first slide was like, we have so many stakeholders in our mind, whether it's our parents, religion, or the news, or the Kardashians, like whatever the hell it is, it's like we're all living from a place of shoulds. So please set the intention to release any and the entire paradigm of guilt, okay, and all the shoulds and all the obligations that you're actually acting from, and to become aware, because actually the first step is this, you cannot change what you are not aware of, okay, so if it's actually hiding in your subconscious mind, set the powerful intention on a daily basis to see, to make it aware, to come from the unconscious to your conscious mind, what all of your shoulds are, like what all of your your sense of obligation you're actually acting from and monitor, you know, and say, you know what? And I would ask you, I'm going to also give you a very helpful tip is this, on your phone, set your alarm like 10 times a day with the mantra of, or question, am I choosing myself right now? And so every time when your phone goes off and you see on your phone, am I choosing my— and ask yourself whatever you're doing right now in that exact moment, are you really choosing yourself? Are you, whatever it is you're doing, is it what Is it what you really, really, really want to do? Whatever, however you're speaking, is it really what you really, really, really want to say, or are you doing it to please other people, or are you doing it to make other people happy? I promise you, it will annoy the heck out of you because your phone will be blaring all day long, but it'll get you into this habit of really choosing yourself, meaning choosing your desires, choosing your own truth, and your things will shift for you. Do it for 30 days. I promise you, that will shift very, very quickly. Quickly.
That's going to be an interesting challenge to do. Maybe we could do a 30-day challenge, yes?
Am I choosing myself right now? Yes, I do it on my phone. So yeah, right.
So I think, let's see, I think we've all covered all the questions from the chat room. So I think this is a perfect time for us to have a look at how people can stay connected with you, Wani Iris Manly, and how they they can work with you on any of the aspects of your program that you just mentioned, your 8 steps. Would you like to tell us more about that?
Sure. Okay, let me get back to the slideshow if I can, and I hope I do this correctly.
Okay, I hit share screen, um, start video, and then, um, I think you do share screen and take yourself off camera so that we can see the slides. Let's see, you click share screen?
I did, okay, hold on. Share screen, yes, the share screen's lit up now, and then you can see me, right? You can see my slides or no?
No, I can see you, I can't see your slides. Do the thing that we did just now.
Share screen. There it is.
Ah, there we are.
Okay, great. Now you need to move to the very end. And bear with me, guys. Okay, so you guys are very, very, very lucky because I am— you guys are the recipients of my very, very brand new Clear Your Money Karma e-course. So I'm actually a money success coach, and so what I do and what I love doing is actually I love helping people clear their money karma because for me, my biggest Achilles heel in my life has been working with the energy of money, right? I literally have been living in lack or any energy of believing there is lack, and so I've been manifesting a lot of struggle with money. And so for me, I put together this course. I mean, this is— my book is my baby, but this course is actually my, um, my passion project. And so it's a digital course that I've just created, which I'm literally— nobody else has ever heard of except for you guys, and it's releasing today. And it's a, it's a self-study digital course. It's all about clearing out your money karma. This is literally a compilation of everything I've done under the sun to get into alignment of money, okay? Starting with the energetics of money and like literally learning that money is just energy. It's literally, it's not the piece of paper. The piece of paper that we actually use, whatever currency it actually is, it's worthless, okay? But literally money is just energy and I really have had to redefine or get into alignment with the energy your money to really be able to attract it. So I had to get very, very super clear what my story is about money. And so this whole course is putting together like literally comprehensively everything that I actually learned from my spiritual path, from my personal experiences, from like reading wealth consciousness books, from my own personal coaching with my own coach, to really get my whole money story rewritten actually to manifest money much more fluidly and to really support my lifestyle, what I'm living right now. So in this course, is you're going to get the energetics of money. You're going to get super, super, super clear what your money story is and how to heal it holistically, right? Because I'm going to tell you guys, working harder is not the answer at all. And then you will also get to see what your beliefs really, really are. I mean, I have done— I mean, I have so many exercises that really get to the core of your beliefs from as a child to what you learned in school to what you learned from like television to really get the entire complete money story out. Okay, you will also learn how the whole chakra system, how money plays itself out. So traditionally, we all have been taught that the money is literally situated in the, in the, the root chakra, but it's not. It literally plays out into different levels of all the chakras of the body. And so I'm going to actually show you and really give you in-depth look at really how your money may be blocked. Like, for example, if you were having trouble receiving money your heart chakra is blocked because in the heart chakra, that's where we have our not deserving and where we feel like we're not worthy. So if you're feeling those beliefs and you're having trouble receiving money or you're receiving little bits of money, it's come from your root chakra. If we're having trouble, uh, for example, expressing your prices for whatever you're doing, if you're an entrepreneur, like for your courses or for your, your coaching sessions, you know what, that's actually your, your, your, your third eye that's actually being, uh, I'm sorry, your throat chakra is actually being being reflected. So we're going to clear all of that too as well. I also have a very, very powerful meditation I actually walk you through that literally where you can get out a bill of currency and the currency will like literally speak to you and tell you exactly what your story is about money so you can begin to actually clear it. And then we will go into a lot of powerful writing and, um, and, and emotional techniques to really get the core of our money stories out. And then the next piece of the course is like really building and developing the wealth consciousness and having the correct mindset to actually generate, to actually be in the energy and the flow of money. Because I can tell you for me right now, this part of it right here is my favorite part because I literally had no idea. Like I had no idea about reading books like Think and Grow Rich and like the way you're supposed to actually read these books. I mean, I have tons of practice that would actually like kind of really help you, you know, get into thinking about, okay, on a much more grandiose level. Like, for example, like, one of my very powerful queries that I was actually taught is that just imagine if you were making your yearly salary in one month. I mean, can you imagine? Like, no one's ever said that to me before. So things like that, I mean, are really, really in this course. I'm so excited, really, like, actually share it with you guys. And by the end of the course, I promise you, if you do everything, you really would have completely transformed your money store and begin to manifest much, much more money in your life. And you're ready to listen all of that, and there's a lot more. And so, yeah, well, actually it's an individual course, but if you sign up for me, if you sign up today for the course, you will actually get two, um, two different bonuses, right? So the regular price of the course is $497. Before being in the webinar today, I'm going to offer you guys for a very special discounted price of $297, plus you're going to get two laser group coaching sessions with me while you're taking the course. You will also have access to the Facebook group, which I will have on Facebook. You can actually interact with me as well as other people that are taking the course as well too. I'm very, very active in the group. I will be because I'm just starting it. And you will also get a free copy of the manifestation ritual that I— forever changed my life, that I took me to living in Paris. Basically, it's a 21-day, a 21 booklet where I wrote about my my New Year's Eve ritual that I do every New Year's Eve and every single month that literally has helped me manifest an amazing life of living in Paris, traveling, having a freedom-based business, and doing everything else that I really love right now with my life that I never thought I'd be doing with my life right now. So all this for you guys for a special price of $297. And the offer though is the special funds will actually complete until— it's going to go until midnight tomorrow night, Paris time. And so if you right now, if you can go to, uh, you can check out the course. You can go to my website at www.wanimanly.com/clearyourmoneykarma, and you will see all the, all of the, um, the features of the course. You can also register for the course right there at the end of it. And so if there's— are there any more questions, Serena, that we have in the chat room?
Yes, there is a question. Do you receive install Um, it's a one-time course.
I mean, it's a one-time price right now. So, but if you want to send me an email and then we can actually like set you up to have like a two-payment system, a two-payment, uh, price, uh, payment for installment plan. We can do that for you, no problem.
And what's the email address that we should write to Wani Iris Manly?
I'm sorry, it is—
oh yes, there it is.
Did I even have that on here? I didn't have— I'm sorry. It's Wani Iris Manly, Wani Iris Manly, at Wani Iris Manly dot com.
Okay, I've typed that in the chat box as well. So it's Wani Iris Manly dot com.
Yeah, yes, thank you.
Yes, brilliant.
My site, but I forgot to include on my slideshow. Very sorry. Thank you guys. Thank you, Serena.
You're most welcome. So So there are no more questions. What I'm going to do now is— I'm going to share my screen, Wani Iris Manly Iris Manly Iris for my final slide here. Okay? Let's see which will— let's see.
Yep!
Right? So just for the benefit of people who have never met me— if this is your first time on my webinar, this is part of a series called Reinvent Yourself which I feel is really important. And it's something that I've been doing. Let me put myself on video as well. It's been something I've been doing for the last 11-12 years. Like Wani Iris Manly Iris Manly Iris was a lawyer as well and I'm also an attorney at law. I also decided it was time to make a change because I didn't want to look back and regret that I had only stuck to the one script and I didn't do anything else with my life. And then I'll be looking back at 60 and say, "Oh, it's too late to start over." And so I decided to start over at 35. Now, the kind of people I've been working with, a very specific clientele, professional women in their 40s who are transitioning from the stable, the scripted, the well-paying job to something that is more in tune with what is their spiritual values and beliefs. So that can take many forms. So usually what happens is that they decide that they want to come out and work for themselves, they want to start a business. And as part of that transition, what normally holds them back, as Wani Iris Manly Manly has mentioned, would be a lot of fear, a lot of self-doubt. Can I do this? What happens if things go wrong? And so on. So what I like to do with people to find out where they are at is to have a discovery call with them called Courageous Transitions. And really, it's all about the courage, courage that you need, the resourcefulness that you need, and the resilience that you need to help you move through this period of time so that you can then step into that next level of your, your journey with a lot more confidence and clarity and enthusiasm. So just for people who are on this webinar and people who are registered, if you would like to have a session you send me an email, careerchangeconfidence@gmail.com. And the other thing you can do is if you can also follow me on Facebook, Career Change Confidence. That is the page where I post my updates, such as when the next webinar is. And I'll be having another one next week at 12 noon AEST, that's Melbourne and Sydney time, with someone who has just climbed, just come back from climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, and she's got It's a fantastic story to share as well, which is also very exciting. So I'm really very privileged and very blessed to meet people like Wani Iris Manly Iris Manly and people elsewhere all over the world who have all these exciting stories to share with all of us. Because I think when we get together like this, especially women supporting women, I think we realize that there is so much else that we can do with our lives. And there are people who are actually doing this right now, reinventing themselves, transforming themselves, and helping others do the same. So I hope that you have enjoyed this webinar. Stay in touch and remember to check up with Wani if you're interested in her course. Thank you so much, Wani, and thank you to all of you!
Thank you, Serena!
Have a fantastic evening!
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it.
Thank you! Bye-bye!
Bye!
