In this tutorial Waylee George explains how to replicate a competitor’s backlink profile to improve a site’s rankings. He starts by emphasizing the strategic advantage of matching top‑ranking competitors’ links, then walks through the practical steps: using Majestic SEO and Open Site Explorer (with free trials or paid accounts) to discover a competitor’s backlinks, extracting link sources such as WHOIS‑based link directories, social bookmarking sites, forum links, and private blog networks (PBNs). He demonstrates the process with the example competitor ShredSource.net, showing how to locate a backlink in Majestic, submit a site to WHOIS link farms, register on a social bookmarking platform and submit a URL, and identify PBNs via Open Site Explorer. The video also notes limitations of each tool (e.g., incomplete data) and suggests using multiple sources. The overall message is that by systematically “stealing” these links and adding a few extra of your own, you can push your site into the top‑10 search results.

What's up guys, welcome to the next video in the SEO for Businesses course. In this video, I'll be quickly going over how exactly to steal competitors' links. Because if you think about it, if you're able to emulate your competitors' links to the best of your ability, then you can automatically take their spot in the search engine. So if they're ranking top 3 and you have the exact same links as top 3, then you add a few extra, then you can outrank them in the top 3. So a technique you gotta do— you gotta learn for this is you have to first have access to Majestic SEO and Open Site Explorer. They both have free trials. I'll be using both of these in this video, but I would highly recommend getting a paid account for them whenever you do have some money to invest. So first of all, you want to find a site that is ranking in the top 10 that you want to kick out of the top 10 rankings. And I've already found one, and I've been using this example for the purposes for this entire course, ShredSource.net. And I've been using that site for the entire course, so I'm just going to use it again to see exactly what he is doing that is ranking his website so well in Google and how I can emulate to the best of my ability. So first of all, I'm going to enter his website into Majestic and then click on the Backlinks tab. Right here, as you can see, I've already done that. So you want to look at the backlinks that he has. This SourceWave doesn't count because it's deleted. Buster is deleted. tools.aosp.com backlink PageRank checker. He has a backlink from here. So once you find something like this, you want to be able to think and see how you can get a backlink from this site. So the best way to get a backlink from this site is just go ahead and search or add your site in here. So if your site was www.google.com, run SEO report. There you go, you already have a backlink from this site. That's how you get backlinks from your competitors and steal. And if there's sites like this, list of domains, IP, this, this, this, secureserver.net, These are all Whois links, and that I've taught you in a previous video to enter your Whois information into the submitter and it'll automatically get you 2,000 Whois links. And this is still online, so it's folked. This is a high authority domain. It's tag/backing. And we'll see this is a social bookmark. As I said, if you buy the Fire package that I mentioned previously, you'll probably get a link from here. So Folk D Tag Backing Tracks, let's see where his site is. There you go, it's right here. That's where his site is on this social bookmarking. So if you want to get your link from here too, you can register for free, you create an email, or you can use your Facebook account. I'm going to go ahead and use my Facebook real quick because it's more convenient. Or not. So you choose either email, password, and whatnot. And then you go ahead and submit your link into the social bookmarking site. It will automatically get a link. That's how easy it is, guys. Analyze My Sites, all these, all these right here are mainly WHOIS. I'm gonna take a look at this real quick, see what it means. There's no links on here. It's just an Alexa list, so you can't really like get a backlink from here. It's just Alexa. It's imported from Alexa. So, and same with these 2. And then Analyze My Site, Main Searches List. What is this? It's dead now, so it doesn't matter. And then Majestic won't show every single backlink that is available, so you want to use a variety of different sources. So Open Site Explorer is another good one. I've already inputted my URL, and as you can see here, there's a link from xzen.com, and the link anchor text is Shredder Source. There's a link. Well, the link is no longer live, but if there was a link, you can tell this is a very similar site to this. To ShredSource.net itself. So it's most likely something similar or something by a similar owner who is interlinking the sites to increase authority on all of them. And then if you see something like this, ISDN2011.org, that's obviously a private blog network. And the site is dead, so there's no link here technically. It looks like Open Site Explorer hasn't had a chance to catch up. See something like that, that's obviously a private blog network, and you'll— I'll teach you how to create that in a different course. And list of domains are all, uh, these are all Alexa related. These are like Whois related things. Best Black Hat World, this Black Hat Forum, again forum links which I mentioned earlier. StatHit, this is similar to Whois I believe. If it loaded would be nice. So that's it, you guys. You just want to go through the competitors and see where you can cop a link from them or where— how to get a link from the same exact sites that they're linking for, that are linking to them. And once you do this, you'll be able to master the art of SEO and hopefully rank in the top 10. That's it for this video, guys. See you guys in the next one. Bye-bye.
