It is a solo talk / self-help video in which a single presenter (SPEAKER A) outlines the first two dimensions of self-care — mind and body — offering practical examples and tips (e.g., read uplifting material, avoid "junk" mental input, seek care when ill, mindful eating, and regular movement). The speaker frames the advice as reminders to practice self-compassion and care as you would for a loved one.

Hey guys, today I'm gonna talk to you about the 6 dimensions of self-care. The first dimension of self-care is self-care of the mind. We often think about how we need certain foods to nourish our body, but we forget that we need certain things to nourish our mind too. What are you feeding your mind? Examples of self-care for the mind would be reading books that inspire you, listening to podcasts that are uplifting and motivating and positive, going to talks and workshops so that you can continue to foster and grow your curiosity and your intellect. Just like you avoid junk food because it doesn't make your body feel good, you can start to avoid junk for your mind. I'm sure if you take a moment right now, you could think of a couple people or pages on social media that you should probably unfollow so that you're not feeding your mind a bunch of junk. The second dimension of self-care is self-care. Take care of the body. Starting with the absolute basics, this means that when you're sick or not feeling well, you see the appropriate practitioners to help you with this and that you take time off of work and other obligations so that you can get 100% well. I know this one sounds pretty obvious, but I've fallen into the trap of not even doing this very basic form of self-care. Bringing awareness to what you eat and how you eat also fall into this category. Are you feeding your body nourishing foods that make you feel good? Are you actually enjoying and savoring your food, or are you rushing through it while you're working and doing other things? Our bodies were built to move, not to sit in cars driving and to sit all day in a chair at work. We need to bring mindful awareness to counterbalancing the negative effects of our stagnant lifestyles and get outside and move your body. It doesn't matter how you do it, as long as you're doing something that you enjoy and you're getting your blood pumping, you're you're doing it right. I hope that you found this video helpful. I hope that it was a reminder to you that you deserve to take care of yourself as though you were taking care of a loved one, because you are. Thanks so much for watching, and I hope to see you again very soon. Bye!
