We embarked on a journey to Mexico City where we attended a crypto mastermind alongside a group of fascinating individuals. High score! That's amazing! We danced and we drank, but most importantly, we learned the true meaning of friendship. And this is how it went. Ah, how is Mexico City? It is Mexican, I'll tell you that. <LYRICS>Me gustan los aviones, me gustas tú. Me gusta viajar, me gustas tú. Me gusta la mañana, me gustas tú.</LYRICS> Yeah, we've combined everything that you guys have as assets into one place that we update if something is off-brand. So our assumption is going to be going forward with anything ad-related, we must follow this brand bible. Verbiage, design, color schemes, how the brand needs to be represented overall. That meeting was for Magic Scoop, one of our new clients, new brand. They just launched, they're like an AG1 competitor, different angle, cheaper product, better recipe, better flavor. I've actually tasted it, tastes better than Athletic Greens. We're gonna make some cool content for them as well. I think we should like climb up a mountain and like pour Magic Scoop all over ourselves when we're back in Vancouver. Well, you were asleep when we got here. I mean, yeah, I slept for like 2 hours. I remember like at 10. You got in, how did you wake him up, Kyle, in bed? I immediately slept in the bed with him, fully nude. And then he progressed on onwards and also got nude beside me. And then we had quite a lovely night together actually. We're thinking about getting married this weekend. Oh, right in the spot. This is why you don't order fucking room service, huh? Holy shit. Damn. Our good friend Luke, he's actually an ex-client of Flax. He is hosting a cryptocurrency mastermind. Yeah. In Mexico City for the next couple days. When he was like a teenager, made millions of dollars in crypto. And over the last 5 years has been trading. He's not like a classic like crypto NFT flipper. He actually understands a lot about how the markets function, built some really cool algorithms that analyze markets and has come up with a cool way of determining whether you should buy or sell crypto. I'm more interested in how the technology works behind blockchain because I think that we can decentralize most of the stuff at Flax. I'm really loving this. I'm just spitting bullshit, aren't I? Yo, don't lie to the camera. We're just here to sell NFTs, boys. Nice to meet you, bro. Things up. Also selfish as well. Like, I would love to be able to to say that Rahul and I helped you build a $100 million company over the course of 3 years. We're down to like not make money on this until we can solve this problem for you. And I'm also down to guarantee that I will spend the next 6 months on fucking factory floors. I will learn Chinese. Like people want to know what the goal of service or product is. You know what I mean? Thanks. What the fuck is going on here, man? Give me a TL;DR of what's going on here. We're building products and services the best products in the world. And we have a CRO product that is flawless, but we want to figure out how to make it to the next level, bring it to the next level. And the conversation we're having is, what is that next step? What does that look like? What can we automate? What's the final product? In 2, 3 years, what do we want it to be? You tell me, Luis, you tell me. I have no clue yet. One day. One day. When I first started Instagram, I just documented the gym, me eating, my acne journey, whatever I thought I knew a little bit more than the average person, I just shared on my story. Then what happened was I documented for my business that I tried. I tried a clothing company, wholesale real estate, ATM business, content creation company. They all failed. Through all those failures, I racked up $50 grand in debt. I documented all of it so everyone knew I was in debt. I was like, guys, like, this shit fucking failed. Like, whatever. Like, literally Gary Vaynerchuk told me, you don't know what your brand is. Document your journey, your journey will become your brand. You guys should write that down. You have to— like, people gotta know that Zach's a fucking man, bro. Even just hyper-validating your own brand, your own agency, through, you know, your Instagram being really top tier. Yeah, all free value, but like also sick lifestyle will just attract more business to you. 100%. So we started on YouTube like 4 days ago, and then Zach's gonna be cycling on to all of the other platforms. We're literally just getting systems ready and trying to automate what we do. I don't like full posting and content creation itself, but the goal is to document 24/7 right now. Yeah. So full 100%. It's all sales. I was president of 10x Health and my employees would always ask me like every day, what the fuck do you actually do? You have 18 meetings, you're just nonstop, you're on Zooms, people in your office. I said, I'm just selling. I'm selling the board on why we need to implement new things and spend more money on technology and product development. I'm selling my managers on how to motivate employees below them. I'm selling the fucking cleaning lady on why she should show up 15, 20 minutes earlier. It doesn't matter who it is, I'm gonna sell every single person. This isn't a sleazy sales tactic for my own betterment. This is to create a better world for the employees, for our prospective customers, for our clients, for anybody that we can touch, and I'm doing it by selling. Our long-term play is essentially like we're turning into a software company, right? So imagine a software company disguised as an agency. So we operate like a software company, but our services are $5,000 to $10,000 a month. And we can, as a result, because we are software, we can get better results than a bunch of people doing everything manually. It's crazy because you guys are going to have to work way less to make way more and you just have to get the client. You guys are all 23, 24, 25, 21, 21, 21, 21, 23. Wow, that's crazy. You guys are actually trying to make money with crypto or you just want to give it like just be— have autonomy. So my intention, I didn't really— I don't know how well I communicated it to everyone else here, but my intention was that we to switch as much of our company financial system into crypto as possible. I currently run our finance department. It's way more efficient for us to be using cryptocurrency for charging clients and paying, paying out everyone on the team down the line. And I know that that is the future. So I'd rather start adopting it now and figuring out how we can expense as much as possible through crypto. It's also much easier to move money around and all of the benefits. That's why everyone's here. Just live in abundance and flow state. Cheers. Let's go, bro. Thank you, Ricky. Viva Mexico. Viva Mexico. Cheers, boys. Does it have a microphone? It does, but when another mic's plugged into it, it like cancels it out. Terrell forgot to use how to use a camera. Forgot to use how to use a camera? You forgot how to use English? I forgot how to use English. Damn it. I'm going for a run. The mastermind starts in 39 minutes, and so we gotta be quick. And my shoes are over here. Fuck. I think if you get them all to start thinking about how to solve a problem in the fashion that you've discussed it, I think you're definitely looking at a mega machine, you know, like a mega corporation. Yeah, you know, definitely will take about 10 years to turn it into something you're envisioning. Yeah, but I'm with it, bro. I think it's great. I'm happy with 10 years. One of my selfish desires for doing this in the first place is that I want to create a product that helps us get— like, rockets are cool, but rockets don't help us bend time and get to other solar systems. So I think it would be really dope if we could create like some actual warp drive technology or something that allows us to travel really quickly through space because I think that would be crazy. What travels quickly through space is confidence, right? Facts. You filming me? Just getting the— Don't be afraid to film me, bro. Just make sure you call the whole thing David The ultimate sales master. I'll make sure to throw that in the title there. Hey, if you're watching this video, make sure you listen to fucking Zach. Zach knows what he's talking about. Okay. Zach is a different kind of animal, man. The rest of you fucking, especially you youngers, you guys, you're not on Zach's level. I'm telling you. Legend. Wise words. Legend. Wise words. That was Mr. David Drey. Can we call him Sir? Sir David Drey. He was Sam Oven's sales manager at Consulting.com. If I'm not wrong, he built their sales team closing about $2 to $3 million a month in revenue. He's got a shit ton of sales experience. We've just hired him to consult the Flax team for the next 3 months on sales and strategy and help us kind of carry out some of the objectives we have in Q1 2024. So excited to get started with him and we'll see how it goes. We'll film the entire thing. We're running a little late. Oh yeah, we're also running an hour and a half late to this mastermind. We got to fucking get fucking moving because we're missing half the event. The first step in designing a portfolio or even just getting involved in crypto is understanding that there's people that came before you that made mistakes like me. You don't have to suffer all the same mistakes that we made as a result of not knowing what we know now. So if you have no strategy, you're destined to lose, right? Your emotions will interfere with your logic and you will make really bad decisions. It's very easy to take people's advice on Twitter and YouTube that don't have your best interests at heart, right? They get paid to promote coins and make you think that they're smart. Those are not the people that you want to listen to. They're using their audience and they're using their social platform to make more money than they make from actual crypto. That's crazy. What's your biggest area of opportunity? I believe it is better educating everyone on the team. I think we have all functions looked after now. Marketing is looked after. Currently the only marketing that is being done is outbound sales. It's not that we can't do ads or content or any of these things. We have that ability in-house. I think it is actually just communicating how it is done correctly to everybody on the team. So getting buy-in from everybody about the little different functions. Our team is 22. We're buying the email agency at the moment, so go up to 25. It's a small company. At your current staff, are you guys at capacity with onboarding new clients, or can you handle— we can handle probably about 1.5x to 2x our load. So for one of the services, onboarding is fully automated for the first month. So onboarding and service delivery. But we need to do that for the other services at the moment. That's one place. Uh, onboarded. That's YouTube service. Okay. Yeah, I'm waiting to launch YouTube until this next year. Colin and a bunch of other people are like, dude, just focus on Instagram for right now, get above 10K, and then start doing your long form I'm not a short-form guy. I'm a long-form guy. So YouTube will be where I shine. Yeah, it's natural for me, right? And like, I can get a lot of information in a, in a 20-minute talk. Everybody on the team just getting like a pair of like Ray-Bans with like, uh, cameras and just like try to work out their process. Exactly. So that's every— everyone building micro products within Flax. Yeah. So that's why you could also build unlimited products of Flax, cuz that's what a product is, a solving problem. brand could be a product? Yes. Yes. Oh yeah? Absolutely. You could sell yourself, Lewis. You could sell yourself. So, I really— Think about the potential value from that. Absolutely. Well, on January 1st, all of our financials go public. So we're all going to be criticizing you and your team. Right now, I'm the only person that looks at our financials and figures out how to improve. I actually think it'd be strong— Soon everybody will see that. And then we'll actually be able to like see it together. I have no clue what this is. Do you know what this is? That was like a key lime-ish thing. That was not my favorite. Oh, it's so full. It's not chocolate, but it's citrusy. It's good. Licensed Mexican drone pilot. What are we headed to right now? A mall. A collection of shops. That's where they sell items. Like we do. But they do this physically. It's kind of weird. 7 AM flight, about to start packing. Half an hour away from the airport. There's only one way to travel. It's in 60 minutes. We ready to go. This is just the fees to the fucking changing of seats. We thought we checked in, but we really didn't. We have 40 minutes until our flight. Oh! This is what happens when you sleep for 3 and a half hours. You're done. You're fucking crazy. The weekend. This weekend.
