Zach Selch recommends Albert Rutherford's Learn to Think in Systems for sales managers building systematic processes, not for individual salespeople looking for tactics. The book gives you language and tools to design and improve how your sales operation works.

Hi, I'm in the Lima, Peru airport. I want to talk about a book called Learn to Think in Systems by Albert Rutherford. This isn't a book for just regular salespeople. If you're looking to really improve the systemic way that you work, this is a pretty good book for you. If you're looking as a manager to develop better systemic tools to manage how your people are doing things and build up methodology and systems, this is a pretty good book. And, and you could go your whole life being a very good salesman and probably even a very good sales manager without doing that. But if that's what you're interested in, this is a good book for you. And it's not necessarily aimed at, or I wouldn't necessarily recommend this to a salesperson who's just looking for any— you're not going to learn any basic sales skills in this. But what I find is over the years I have utilized a lot of different systems and methodologies to build up my sales processes and how I do things. And I found this book to be very helpful to really give me a language to speak to deal with that and also really help me come up with some tools to better build and understand how to build systems. So if what you're looking for as a sales manager are tools and language to help you build up better systems to improve your sales functionality, this is a pretty good book for you and I'd recommend it.
