In this short video, Zach Selch stands in Sri Lanka’s National Garden, noting the local cinnamon trees and large bats that emerge at sundown. He then shifts focus to a practical sales tool he carries: a small, two‑sided whiteboard with red and black markers. Zach explains that using this portable whiteboard lets him keep sales meetings intimate, avoid turning his back on clients, and stay in control when a traditional whiteboard isn’t available. He demonstrates how quick sketches—such as illustrating skin layers or pressure points—help clients grasp concepts despite his limited drawing skill. The approach, he says, reduces the feeling of distance between him and the customer, fostering a more personal conversation. The video ends with a call‑to‑action inviting viewers to contact his team to grow international sales.

I'm in the National Garden of Sri Lanka, and if you ever get asked where can you see cinnamon trees and bats the size of corgis, this is where you want to come. I'm sort of waiting because around sundown the bats come out and they're pretty cool. They really are about the size of my dog and they They're pretty cool watching them flying. But anyway, I wanted to talk to you today about a little tool that I carry with me. Some of us like to sketch and draw when we're in sales meetings, and I like to keep my sales meetings as intimate as possible. I hate to stand up and turn my back on people and start sketching. And I also find that sometimes I get someplace and they don't have a whiteboard. And then if I was expecting to draw something or if I wanted to answer a question by sketching, it doesn't— it takes me out of my control zone, which I don't like. I'm a control freak like that. So I found that you can buy these little whiteboards in school supply stores for, for like a dollar apiece, and I carry a little whiteboard pen red and black with me. One side of this is graphic, one side is plain. And then I can use it to sketch things. So I'm not a very good drawer, but for instance, one of the things I talk about is injecting inside the layers of the skin. So I can do something like that and people understand clearly what I'm talking about. Or I can talk about a bring having specific pressure. Now again, I'm a horrible artist, but people understand what I'm doing, and it makes it a lot easier, smoother, and more intimate. I can be leaning over with an iPad and a little whiteboard, and we're having an intimate conversation while I'm explaining something. It takes away that feeling of, of being a pedagogue. It takes away that feeling of, of separation and remoteness between myself and the customer. This is a very intimate tool, and it really is pretty helpful for me.
