A car accident eight years ago made the speaker rethink his career. He left corporate America to start Growthwise Consulting, working as an interim CRO and VP of sales, then shifted to flexible consulting work instead of full-time single-client roles.
So I have had a great rewarding background and I share all of that because that's really what brought me to where I'm at today. 8 years ago, I had a life-changing event. I had a car accident that was a very humbling experience and it forced me to do a lot of thinking about how I wanted to, what legacy I wanted to leave behind and— who I wanted to co-author the rest of my professional career with. And it wasn't in corporate America. So I started Growthwise Consulting. And at first, I was all in consulting as an interim chief revenue officer, vice president of sales for a couple of companies. And then a couple years ago, I pivoted my strategy and decided I no longer wanted to be full-time and just work with one client.
