Founders often rely on their industry contacts to land early customers, but that momentum stalls as the business grows. Hiring a sales leader who mirrors the founder's style won't automatically double revenue in a year, no matter how good they are.
You know, a founder will start a company and they, you know, they've got a Rolodex because they worked in the industry for a while. And so they can get some clients and they start to grow. But then that growth starts to stall out. And very often they're like looking for an easy solution. They're like, I'm just going to hire a sales leader and then he'll be exactly like me or she will be exactly like me. And so we'll double our revenues in the next year.
