Many people stay in 9-to-5 jobs believing they're safe, then get laid off or made redundant anyway. These forced job losses often become the push that finally drives people into entrepreneurship, even though they thought traditional employment was the secure choice.
It's interesting. And it actually reminds me of sort of a common paradox that a lot of entrepreneurs have dealt with, which is this idea of, you know, well, working 9 to 5 is safe and stable. But I know so many entrepreneurs that the reason why they're entrepreneurs today is because they thought working 9 to 5 was safe and stable. And then one day they got met with redundancy or laid off or whatever. Yeah. Very often through no fault of their own, through 2 companies merged and you were paid better than your counterpart at the other company. So now you're out on the street.
