10/30/17 Monday Funnel Mashup

This is a YouTube video titled "10/30/17 Monday Funnel Mashup" created on October 30, 2017. The content is a monologue by a single speaker discussing the importance of sales funnels versus websites for business success, focusing on strategies to increase revenue through customer journeys and value ladders. The speaker also offers a free workbook to help viewers plan their own sales funnels.
When I first started my business in this crazy online world that we all know and love, I came onto the scene as a website designer. I pivoted about a million times since then, but it made me think of a question that I wanted to pose to all of you in today's video blog. The question being, what do you think is more important for the success of your business? And success in this case meaning dollars that you bring into your business, not your happiness level, not any of those other measures that are very, very important for your business. What do you think is going to bring more cash into your business? Is it a website or is it a sales funnel? Now while that might be up for debate with many people, everyone's got a different opinion. Especially if you're a website designer, you're going to be a little bit biased. And I'm a sales funnel designer, so I'm a little bit biased in the other direction. But as far as dollars that are brought into your business, I'm going to vote that a sales funnel is ultimately the winning choice. So if you think about what people do when they come to your website, they are there to do a 18 second check to see, okay, is this girl legit? Does she have testimonials, how do I contact her, does she have pricing? But even in that respect, do you want someone who's just price shopping? No. If you're a high end provider, service provider, coach, whatever, you know that if you're going to charge the prices that you deserve those high end prices, people need to be very familiar with you, they need to know you, they need to like you and they need to trust you. You just don't get that from a 10 second, 18 second check of somebody going to your website. Right? So the point of a sales funnel is to help you make more money off of every single lead. And I say that in a very cold way. It's not all about the money. I totally understand that. I'm all about people, I'm about value. And that's where the disconnect can come for a lot of business owners. A lot of business owners think that just because you're looking to make more money with those one time offers or the upsells or the tripwires, all those terms that you might hear when it comes to sales funnels. That doesn't mean that you are not being ethical in how you're promoting your business. That being said, when you're thinking about your sales funnel, think about the goals. It's not just an email sequence from one offer to the next offer. A lot of people think that's what a sales funnel is and it's just not. What you want to think about when thinking through your sales funnel is what journey does each person need to take on every step of my value ladder or your customer experience journey. So every piece needs to have its own funnel in order for it to function entirely the way that it should. So if someone's a complete stranger to you and you're offering them a free opt in, this is your opportunity to help pay for your Facebook ads by offering them a tripwire or a one time offer on top of it, you can. It's not gonna defer them from liking you or trusting your business. It's giving them more opportunity to get to know you, to get more value from you so that they remember you. You know they're invested. They're not just collecting different freebies to file on somewhere on their laptop or their computer to never be seen again. Once they purchase a tripwire, you know they're invested and you know that they are ready to really take control of their own businesses and enjoy what it is that you have to offer for your yours. Because I think the planning phase is the most important phase of setting up your sales funnel. I've created a workbook for you that you can get for free so you can start planning yours out all by yourself. It's really going to take you through the overall journey. Figure out where you need to start, where you can add on different offers, understanding the sales funnel and really taking matters into your own hands so that you can get your sales funnel designed and operational so you can bring in more leads and more money from each lead in your business.
