Let's talk about Apple's AI summaries and how that's probably affecting your email marketing strategy. Now, if you didn't know, Apple recently did an update where all their email summaries look something like this. If you're in Internet marketing, email marketing, if you're trying to sell something through email, this is going to drastically impact the way your users are interacting with your emails. They're going to start missing context as to why that email is important. They're going to miss storytelling, the emotional connection that can happen through email marketing, because oftentimes they're going to see that summary and they're going to make a really quick decision on if they want to open that email or not. A few things that you can do to start improving your open rates in the age of AI summaries include these following tips. Tip number one, Focus on one compelling element. You want to make sure that your email is focused on one core thing so you're not going in too many different directions. So that summary is going to feel really disjointed and confusing for the person who sees the summary. For instance, I can highlight one thing like how Katie achieved X with Tiny Offer Lab. Number two, creating curiosity using open ended questions or statements that induce curiosity and get people to open that email. Something like how one marketing myth held me back in my business would be a really great example. Number three, focus on using personalization. So using those personalization tags inside of your email make it feel like it's more of a connection to use the person's name and the subject line. People love their own names. Use that as much as you can while still feeling really authentic. Tip number four, emphasizing value, not just price. That summary, it clearly says the price. And we all know that in a sales conversation you never lead with price because you have to build the value first. Everyone thinks things are too expensive. If you lead with the price and they don't understand the value the price is in the summary, it's going to really impact your level of click throughs, your level of open rates. So when you talk more about the value and leave the price for the sales page, that could be a possible thing. That might help too. And of course Tip number five, every marketer's favorite answer is make sure that you're a B testing. So if you have two different emails, try different things and see what those different summaries might be, test them. Those emails going to your own inbox so you can see what they look like and watch the open rates, interaction rates, the click through rates, reply rates. Watch what's happening with your emails. No. Things are changing rapidly in marketing. As coaches, as creators, as small business owners, we know AI is taking over. But if you want to keep showing up and you want to keep making money on the Internet, you have to become an even smarter marketer than you've ever been before. So hopefully these tips will help you do just that.
