The Simple Calculation

Ali Zierkey breaks down the math behind scaling to a million dollars. He walks through how many high-ticket clients you actually need and what it takes to enroll them, then tackles the indecision that stops most entrepreneurs from getting there.
Show yourself that you are and show your clients that you are because you believe that, because you are so confident in yourself. Welcome to the Decision Maker podcast with me, your host, Ali Zierkey. When I was first getting started, I had this braille necklace that I always used to wear and it in braille, it said, do it scared. And for me at that time, my goal was to be able to go to Target anytime I wanted. I remember standing in the kitchen with my husband and being like, how much money do I have to make to be able to go to Target anytime I want and just be able to buy things and like put home decor items in my cart that I didn't really need. And the number at that time was $4,000 a month. He said, if you can bring home $4,000 a month, you can go to Target anytime you want. And that was my first goal. But having that goal helped me figure out the math. It helped me look at my prices. How many customers do I actually need to bring in, at what amount, how do I set myself up? Because I had that vision. So inside of this training, we're talking about growing a million dollar business, talking about enrolling 100 high ticket clients in the next 12 months. So what would it take for you to be able to enroll $110,000 clients? So that math million dollars right there. I know, I say 100k month a lot too. I know that it's $83333 to have a million dollar business, but 100k month is like a lot. I mean, that's gravy, right? Like that's extra and it's a lot easier to save. And do you want to have an $83,000 month? That's just not as fun. So I say million dollar business, 100k month, kind of, you know, one in the same in my brain, even though mathematically it's not. So I want you to grab a piece of paper and on the piece of paper we're going to do math. So if you need a calculator, have one, Andy, because we're going to tackle out some numbers here. So just hang tight, I will walk you through it. So when you think about how much you want to make this year or even in the next 12 months, if it's a million dollars, write down a million dollars. If it's $400,000, write down $400,000. If it's somewhere in the middle, whatever it is, write that number down. And then I want to figure out, what do you think right now? What could you get on the phone in uncomfortably have someone or sell someone on a group program? Group program can only have to exist in your brain. It doesn't have to be anything that truly is sellable. Right now we're just living in imagination land for the sake of this exercise. So when you think about it and you think about, I could charge 5k, I could charge 10k, I could charge 25k and have, you know, an in person event and I could have coaches and I could have you start like dreaming about everything you can include. And so we're going to do how much money you want to make this year. We'll say it's a million dollars. And then we're going to divide it by how much your high ticket program could be. That's $10,000 for this purpose of this exercise. So a million divided by 10,000, that's 100 people. 100 people for the next 12 months. So enrolling 100 high ticket clients this year, if we do the math again and we look at how many, my calculator down here divided by 12 months, it's only 8 people per month. So do you think that in some world you could reach 8.3? So maybe we should round up to 9 just, just because you can't help like a third of a person. So nine people per month. Nine people per month to transform their lives. Do you think that's possible for you to be able to find just nine people? Like when you look at the world, I don't know if you've ever run Facebook ads, but when you look at set up audiences and you look at how many potential people could see this ad or how many people would be interested in this topic, sometimes it's like millions and billions, right? Like when you think about that, we'll say for me, digital marketing, if I pull up digital marketing right now, I think it's like 56 million people are interested in learning about digital marketing strategies. And I just need eight every month, I just need to find eight people who would be interested, who want that transformation. And then I have to believe enough in myself that I can achieve that with them, that I can guide them, that I can help them achieve the actual transformation. And I'll tell you, and we're going to go into this in training 2 and training 3. Selling high ticket is actually much, much, much easier than selling $27 products to strangers. And it actually takes less time to launch into serve in a $10,000 container than it does selling a $27 product funnel. The tiny Offer funnel, which is, you know, what I built my entire business on. I believe you need both. But also you can start with the 10K offer and then reverse engineer your way because it's much easier to scale and to get the results and to get testimonials and all the things that help sell the $27 product when you just go straight for the $10,000 transformation. So it does take your own personal transformation, it does take your belief in yourself and it takes a decision that you are going to be that next level of yourself. Right? Like we are constantly expanding, we are constantly learning new things. And I'm guessing if I were to come into your business and if I were to look at what you're doing and I were to study all of your packages and your people, do you think I would be able to change your business enough if I were the CEO of your business that I could generate a million dollars from your business? Do you think I would be able to figure out the tweaks and, and the subtle things to launch and the actions to take and maybe how to outsource things and how to hire and how to build a team around you to get things done if you are having trouble actually finishing the thing? How do you build that? You know, how do you like alley proof is what I always told my team. Like how do we ally proof this launch or how do we alley proof this thing? Because I would have a tendency of, you know, having a sick kid at home or having something else going on where I would fall off and I would lose momentum. There are ways to create an insurance policy around yourself that you actually get it done. So all of that aside, do you think I could step into your business and build a million dollar business in the next 12 months? Heck, in the next six months, three months? Do you think I could figure that out? Hopefully you said yes, because I'm pretty confident that I could. Because I have a different perspective. I have more experience now. I've done it a few times. I've done it, I've helped six different businesses now go from I think like 10k a month to 100k a month. And I've seen what it takes and I've seen the patterns and I've realized all of the subtle tweaks that can really make an impact. Those tweaks can be bringing in more leads, it can be charging more, it can be increasing your conversion rates, it can be following up more to close more sales. There are little tiny things that you might be missing that you don't Even know that the science behind it that I know I could come in and help with, right? So when you think about it from that perspective, stop judging yourself for not being there yet. It's because you haven't started solving problems from your expanded point of view, because you haven't gotten support to get to that point. So if you think about it, it is making that decision that your business is gonna look different. It's not like, oh, I could do it, or maybe I could do this thing over here, or maybe 10k packages, but I don't know, I could just, like, scale. So indecision is like the biggest killer of dreams I've ever seen. If you're sitting in indecision, you are wallowing away your chance to get to become the actual version of yourself that you want to become. So there's this quote that is from Tim Ferriss, and he was talking about the word decide. Like, where does the word decide come from or the word decision come from? The word decision comes from this Latin root of the word, which is incision. So when you think about incision or, like, getting an incision, it's not a comfortable thought. It's not something any of us want to do. We don't want to go have surgery. We don't want to get cut. So when you think about that, you think about deciding something, you are cutting yourself off from other options. And that's why it's so scary for entrepreneurs, because we're visionaries. We have all these ideas. We're so excited about things. And when you decide you're saying, this is my path forward, you're getting the blinders on, but all of this other noise gets cut off. All of these other options get cut off. And then we start circling like, well, what if this was the right choice? Or, what if that was the right customer? What if I need to do this other thing? Like, this is scary because I'm not available for all of these other options now. But in reality, creating that clarity and creating that space and that focus, to just go forward with one thing, that's what actually makes it happen. So part of this training, over the next three classes here, I want you to decide what you actually want. And not just, like, writing it down or journaling, but truly committing to becoming the version of yourself that you need to become in order to have the things that you need to have or that you want to have. You're not running the business that you want to have yet. It's because. Because you haven't yet become the person that you need to be to do it. So this week or today specifically decide, write it down, tell me if you want, you can DM me, you can email me, Tell me what you actually decided today. What are you going to create? What are you going to launch? Who are you going to become to have the life that you want to have, to have the freedom to have the business. All of these things that you've been indeciding, you've been in indecision around what business model or what coaching or what niche or you know, what, what are my parents gonna think if I do this thing? Like, the things that keep you in indecision, we're gonna cut that off right now and we're gonna cut off all of the noise and the static that's in your brain that's keeping you from actually doing the thing. Because making a decision is cutting everything else out. So you can't make infinity money. You can't grow from believing that you can make infinity money. Because then you're like, I could have this offer. And then this offer and this offer. We want to simplify. We want to do one thing and we want to be the best in the world at the one thing that you do. We want to be the thought leader. We want to be the what Russell Brunson calls like the category king. We want you to become the queen of your entire kingdom. Everything king or queen. The thing that you're creating, the thing that you're the best at, the expert at, the thing that you know better than anybody else. Yes, you do. Like, don't. I already could feel people arguing with me on that of like, well, I don't know if I'm actually the best. Yes, you are. Like, just show yourself that you are and show your clients that you are because you believe that. Because you are so confident in yourself. Just don't, don't hold space for anything else. Don't let these arguments happen in your brain. Just like hold the energy of what it feels like to be the best at something and that's going to transform the way you show up and everything else. But your next level is going to require you to cut off things that are no longer serving you from the thoughts, the packages, the indecision. I know that you're here because you want to hit a seven figure year. I know that you want to enroll 100 high ticket clients because you signed up for this training. You wouldn't be here if you didn't want that at least. Maybe you're just curious, but I hope all of you on this training are like, yes, I want to hit 100k months. Because I can tell you that 100k a month does not mean 100k cash is going from your business into your bank account. So take that into consideration too, because there's taxes, there's advertising, there's team expenses, there's just business expenses. Software, all of this stuff adds up. So don't feel like this, you know, 100k is way too much money. I can never just go blow 100k in my life because it's going to look different once it actually transfers to your bank account. So we are all programmed with these ideas. Just to summarize, a lot of your money beliefs are not actually your beliefs. And I want you to start thinking about that highest intention for your clients and what that transformation is that you can help them achieve. So I know because you're here, you're too smart to let any of these stories continue getting in your way, that you can do this and that you should do this and you would benefit from doing this and all of these things. And let me know what you think. Send me an email, send me a dm, come find me on Instagram. I would love to know how this sits and what questions you have and just really get to build upon this new foundation that you're laying for yourself and this new business and new life that you're going to create for yourself. Thanks so much for watching and I will see you in the next video.
