This is a YouTube video titled "We All Have Self Doubts" containing a monologue by Alyssa Edwards recorded on October 13, 2022. In this video, Alyssa discusses the fundamentals of sales conversations, emphasizing building rapport, understanding client needs, and developing sales skills through practice rather than relying on natural talent.
Just learning the basics of a sales conversation. You know you build rapport, you build understanding. You ask the right questions so that you can understand where the client's coming from, what they need. You repeat those answers back to the client and say like oh so it sounds like you're struggling with X. You never make up words for them, you always use their own word. Then at the end it's an invitation to work together. It's not a pitch, it's not a sleazy sale. It's just having that conversation about how you could support them moving forward. Right? So when you can just put it into another framework to learn or another skill that you can develop. I think a lot of us, we think we're naturally not good at something but what we don't realize is it's just about developing the skill. It's putting in the hours, it's finding the right support to be able to make it happen and practicing.
