Andrey V. Karpov, CEO of Victoria.AI, describes his Richmond startup's AI system as offering emotional support through logic rather than cold calculation. He argues AI adoption is inevitable, comparing resistance to preferring horses over cars, and warns that ignoring the technology risks displacement.
Alright, super excited to be here at the Power of Possibility conference. So I have one question for you.
Sure.
How are you currently using AI in your work?
That's a great question. So I'm the CEO and founder of an AI company in the frontier tech space called Victoria.AI. So it's CK, uh, make sure the spelling is correct. Um, the way we're positioning AI in our community and also nationally at this point with a rollout across the United States is with human-like ethical AI alignment. We believe that the current AI systems, including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Grok, with Claude being a pretty good exception but still lacking, um, is that they all connect with users without truly understanding what the user wants, what drives the newer signs and patterns behind it. So what we do is we provide a more human-like connection. Instead of the AI system being a large calculator, our AI system cares about the why, the foundation. It doesn't only address the how, the process, and the what, the action plan. It actually cares about your wellbeing. So if I were to tell you in one word, what we do is we provide emotional support through logic.
I love that so much. And so if you're not currently using AI right now, you're gonna get left behind. Is that correct?
That is correct. And in fact, it's kind of like transitioning from a horse to a car, you know, or from a ship to an airplane. It's inevitable. It's important to follow that pattern. And you can be at the forefront of that if you don't want to be eliminated and basically swept away and replaced. And that will unfortunately happen. I see that happening even with very smart, educated, and forward-thinking people. So the solution is not to compete with AI. And that's why our system actually is a companion. We market our AI system as a companion. It's there to help guide you, support you, and activate your own brain and its beautiful creativity to achieve whatever you you want to achieve to come up with your own answers. But if you're completely against AI or you're staying away from that, you're about to be in a very deep surprise.
I love that. All right, real quick, say your name and your company. Spell your name out for— you've done this before, just so we'll have it.
My name is Andrey V. Karpov. I'm the principal architect, CEO, founder of Victoria.AI. Victoria spelled with a CK. We're a frontier tech company here in Richmond. Coming close to 2 years now available nationally and having presented internationally our product, we're looking for opportunities for synergy and investments currently. Thank you.
