Class Starts March 1st! Online Yoga Teacher Training & Intensive Sneak Peak

In this live, unscripted session Angelica Gover introduces and promotes her upcoming 200‑hour online Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) that begins March 1. She walks through technical setup for the live stream, confirms audio/video, and then shifts to a detailed overview of the course. The training runs for ten weeks, delivering roughly 20 hours of work per week through a drip‑release model that includes video lessons, readings, assignments, weekly practicum teaching, and live Zoom sessions. The curriculum covers yoga history, Sanskrit terminology, over 100 core asanas, sequencing, yoga philosophy (Yoga Sutras), physical anatomy (taught by guest experts), and a comprehensive “Business of Yoga” module that teaches students how to monetize their practice, avoid debt, and build studios or independent ventures. Angelica explains Yoga Alliance certification, the distinction between Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) and Certified Yoga Teacher (CYT), and how her program exceeds Alliance requirements. She emphasizes personal mentorship—knowing each student’s name, one‑on‑one welcome meetings, and direct access via phone and social media. Pricing is positioned as more affordable than her in‑person Las Vegas training ($3,000) with payment plans available. Angelica shares her own credentials (40 years in yoga, ownership of three studios, over a million dollars earned teaching, extensive teacher‑trainer experience) and uses multiple student success stories to illustrate outcomes (graduates opening studios, teaching at resorts, prison yoga projects). Throughout she addresses common objections (age, self‑doubt, recession concerns) with an enthusiastic, supportive tone, urging viewers to sign up via her website or contact her directly. The session ends with gratitude, a Valentine’s Day greeting, and a reminder of the live replay availability.

Yay, I'm actually live and I'm hoping that there's not an echo this time. I have done this so many times, I've set this up so many times and there is no— why is it doing that? How if I turn that off? What if I turn that off? Can you hear me now? I don't know if you can hear me. Let me see if that works. Okay, I'm going to check right now. I'm going to go into here. I'm sorry for the delay. In getting started, but I am not sure that I'm doing this correctly. And so because of that, I want to— have you ever— I want to see if you can actually hear me because I don't know if you can or not. And so the best way for me to do that is actually to log in on one of my devices. It says just now. Oh, it says live. Okay. Am I— oh yes, it's working. It's working. Hello everybody. Okay. Can you hear me, Spirit Junkie? Because I can see you in there. But I wasn't sure if you can hear me because I had to turn off, I had to mute the Mac. And it looks like that you can hear me because I saw the captions were going on. So I feel good to go forward with this. Fingers crossed. I'm just gonna just double-check that really quick. Okay. I love you all. Thank you for joining me tonight. Thank you for being here. Yeah, it is working. Okay. Yeah. Okay. That's working. Yes. All right. Awesome. Thank you. I needed you, Spirit Junkie. You have no idea. All right. One of the things that I have felt really like nervous about is going live. Because I'm really good at like making TikToks and Reels and YouTube Shorts, but that's all like edited, right? Like it's all like post-production, and this is like live right here. We're here, this is happening. I'm sharing my screen, I'm figuring out how to multi-stream. I'm streaming on YouTube and, um, on, on, uh, TikTok and on in my Facebook group at the same time. You have no idea how amazing this is. Like, this is really amazing, actually. Okay, so I am hosting a 200-hour online yoga teacher training. It starts March 1st. It's freaking epic, um, and I'm really excited about doing this. I'm excited to be here. I'm excited to have all of you sign up. I think that it's going to be probably an incredible experience for so many of you, and I wanted to host it now to start in March so that you could be finished and graduated from yoga teacher training before summer happens. Because summer is the time, um, to actually just like really crush it and make good money as a yoga teacher. There are so many opportunities in the summer for you to reach out and connect with people. So it's going to be really easy for you to immediately start working and getting practice as a yoga teacher. Thank you for buying the bundle and watching me on the show with Chef AJ. I appreciate you. So, um, the— in the bundle I had a 25-hour yoga certification course, which is just like a course to like if you want to do your own personal practice if you want to lead your friends and family, but it's really not a professional course if you want to make this a career. So what I host, when I host the 200-hour yoga teacher training and the 500-hour yoga teacher training courses online, these are professional careers. I will teach you literally everything that has made me a million dollars as a yoga teacher, like every single thing that I did to be successful. I'm super dedicated to my students. I live and breathe for you. I get notifications on my phone, which is— I'm on TikTok right now, so I'm using the phone for that, so I can't show you my phone, but I get notifications on my phone from my students. You get direct access to me for the entire time that you're in yoga teacher training. And anyone that's taken my training can tell you that I actually am your friend for life. So if you need something 10 years down the road and you need my help, and you need me to assist you in teaching yoga and learning how to teach yoga, or you're, you're like, okay, I want to open my own studio. I'm like about helping people. I believe that the more that I give, the more abundance that I share, the more likely that you are going to be successful as well. So I decided to do this group yoga teacher training and just try it out. Like, I usually do private one-on-one online yoga teacher training. I do not usually run people through in a group. I do that in person. But in online, I've always been doing it private, and for a lot of people, that level of service is cost prohibitive, so a group training makes sense if you need to have an affordable solution. So if you're looking for something that's more affordable, it's way more affordable than in-person. My in-person training in Las Vegas is $3,000. You know, this is way less than that, and it— I also have payment plans. You can find all that information on my website. I want to like waste time talking about payment plans and stuff because honestly, like, what you're here for today is to learn about what's in the course and what you're going to learn. And if you're watching me on, on TikTok and you want to see my screen, I'm sharing screen on my Facebook group, uh, which I can't let you in while I'm on this live, but I'm also sharing screen on YouTube. So if you wanted to see my screen share, but you'll be able to hear what I'm saying, so it works out as well. Okay, so, um, let's see. I am here in the, um, the course online, so I'm just going to go ahead and log into my account. And this is what it actually looks like. This is the actual course that I, um, host everything on. So, um, this is where all of the classes are. This is where you get to, um, see like everything that you do each week. So each week you get new content revealed to you. So I do it in a drip because I don't want people to feel overwhelmed. If you get all the content at once, you're like, what do I do next? It's so much easier if you're just like, okay, I'm gonna do this right now. This is what I gotta get done this week. I need to watch all these videos. I need to complete all these modules. And I need to do these assignments. So you'll notice that in the course it actually shows you little checkmarks, and those little checkmarks don't really mean that you finished that section. So don't, don't skip those. You might like click on them and be like, oh no, I thought I finished them, but you haven't. I had somebody think that before, so if you think you haven't done it, do it again. So in the beginning, I just welcome you to the course and talk about like what you need to get to get started and be really successful. I try to make the course as just as budget-conscious as possible so that you're not buying a lot of props that you don't need. You're not getting things that aren't really necessary for you, that you were— that you're just getting what you need to be really successful. And then you build at that, because, you know, something that I did when I owned my first studio was I never bought anything for the studio that I couldn't pay for in cash. I never went into debt for my studios, none of them. And so if you are looking to open a studio, I really suggest that, like, you have a brick-and-mortar, it's really important that you don't get in a lot of debt. With a yoga studio. Now other kinds maybe yes. You know, people always would tell me like, oh, debt is the thing. Thank you for saying that you love watching my videos. Debt is the thing that all businesses need to grow. And I don't know, I just don't really agree with that. Like, I don't think you have to take on debt. Like, I'm not trying to run a, you know, I'm not Grant Cardone, you know. Like, I'm just Angelica Gover, and I just want to share yoga with people. And you're probably the same way. Like, you just want to share what you know with people so that they can find happiness. And maybe, you know, like, as a bonus, what would be really great is if you could pay your bills. You know, I remember when I opened the studio, it was like a few months after I opened, because I was really smart about how I started the studio. And I teach you all that, uh, if you ever want to open your own studio. But I talk about that in the course extensively. But I remember the day that I could pay my phone bill and my car insurance, and I remember just feeling like really excited about it. Like, wow, I can pay my phone bill and my car insurance with money that I earned teaching yoga. Like, how incredible is that? And it's something that was really momentous to me, and I felt like this sense of just relief and happiness that the universe supported what I was doing. And, um, yeah. Oh, someone asks, after the 200-hour training is finished, we're eligible to get work, right? Uh, you actually are eligible to teach yoga right now. There's no law that says you have to become certified, but certification is definitely a bonus. Um, becoming certified to teach yoga will teach you all the things that you need to be super successful. So it's like going to school for it. Like, okay, my dad's an electrical engineer and he actually didn't go to school. He apprenticed under someone and now he does electrical engineering. He never went to college for it. Some people go to college for electrical engineering and that's how they become electrical engineers. Same for you, you know, like, they're the most— the oldest, most famous teachers are not certified. They just studied yoga for a really long time. In the 1990s, this organization called Yoga Alliance came around. They trademarked 200-hour 100-hour yoga teacher training and 300-hour yoga teacher training. And so those are registered trademarks of this company, Yoga Alliance. They have very little meaning like outside of that, right? They're just like this name that they call them. And so this course is a Yoga Alliance approved course, and the, the goal of the course is to exceed— for me is to exceed the requirements of Yoga Alliance because I don't think that the requirements are really enough. To give you, like, I was like, when I submitted my paperwork, I had like 50 hours of Business of Yoga in my 300-hour, and they were like, oh, that's too much, and I was like, what? They need that to be successful. They need to know how to build a landing page. They need to know how to create an email list. They need to know how to market on social media. They're not gonna make it, and you know, a lot of yoga teachers don't make it. But mine do. Every single person that took my online yoga teacher training last year is already actively teaching yoga. So, um, long answer for your question, but you can actually teach yoga right now without a certification. However, most people don't. Most people sign up for certification program. So you can start with the 200-hour yoga teacher training, and you could have just a 200-hour and teach your whole life. What 200-hour yoga teacher training means is that it's 200 hours of instruction. So my course that starts on March 1st is a 10-week-long course, which means that you will spend about 20 hours a week doing the course, watching the videos, reading the books, uh, preparing for your practicum on Zoom calls with me, learning the different, um parts to becoming a yoga teacher. So expect to spend about 20 hours a week so that at the end, 20 times 10 is 200 hours. So it's a 200-hour training. So you'll have 200 hours worth of training. That's what it means. You will be certified and you can register with Yoga Alliance. So there's two different things, right? There's an RYT, which is registered yoga teacher, and that means that you paid Yoga Alliance, you know, $160 for the year and that you're registered with them. And then there's a certified yoga teacher, CYT, and it's like I'm writing that in the air. CYT is certified yoga teacher, and that means that you're certified to teach yoga, you just didn't pay them the money to be registered. In my mind, the registration with Yoga Alliance is a lot like the alumni association at your college. So you still get your certificate and you get to be a— I have a bachelor's degree. I have two bachelor's. I have a bachelor's degree in English literature and a bachelor's degree in women's studies. And I always have those degrees. I don't have to pay the Alumni Association. I will always be a certified yoga teacher. I never have to give Yoga Alliance any money. Now, I do give Yoga Alliance money because I have a school which is registered, and you have to be registered with them to have your school registered. So I donk off like $1,000 a year to Yoga Alliance. It's gross. It's so much money and they give you nothing in return except these little stickers that you put on your page. It says, "I'm registered." But anyhow, you, you too can put the little sticker on your page after this class, after you complete the 200-hour yoga teacher training with me, if you want to. But you certainly can teach anywhere in the world with this certification. It is Accepted worldwide. Yoga Alliance's worldwide certification. So you can teach anywhere you want. I have students that are teaching at resorts, which is a cool job if you don't have any children. I would do my life over again, you guys, if I could. If you don't have any kids, you don't have anything really tying you down, you don't own a house, you know, like your car, you don't have a car payment, whatever, you could get rid of your car, you don't have pets, right? Because I've always had a dog, so I never want to go anywhere because I have a dog. But I would work at these resorts because you can hop around from resort to resort and like just work at these different places and live in the most magical places in the world. Like, I know somebody that lives in a retreat center, a yoga retreat center, and she just does their social media in exchange, you know, because they don't know how to do this stuff. Because I'm hosting a retreat in Costa Rica in January of next year, and I've been trying to help them with social media, but honestly, I'm just really overwhelmed with my own, so I don't have time to do theirs, but they don't know how to do it. So if you can provide that to them, you know, free lodging, live in Costa Rica, it's fabulous. So that's a really cool way to work. You know, something else I think that's really awesome, and this might resonate with somebody on here, it might not, I don't know, you know, who, what, what would resonate with people, wouldn't. But Prison Yoga Project is amazing. Like, that is one of the coolest things you can do, and the way you can get paid for that so that you can keep doing, because you always want to think like, how can I keep doing this? It's not about like, I'm making this money, I'm so baller. It's about like, I'm going to make this money so that I can keep serving these people. I'll answer your question in a second. So the, like, if you want to do like Prison Yoga Project, then you set yourself up as a nonprofit and you get donations so that you can keep teaching the people that you love. Okay, so there's a question. So being certified gives us more credentials to train. Okay, so do you mean, can you clarify for me, do you mean more credentials to train other people like what I do, or like I'm a teacher trainer so I train people how to become yoga teachers, or do you mean like it like makes, gives you more street cred, like I'm more credentialed? You know, that's a crazy way to say it, but you know, just clarify for me because if you mean like to become a trainer like what I'm doing, you have to have a significant number of years of practice. I have over 10,000 hours of teaching yoga teacher training to people, so I've been doing it for a while. And so what that means is that, like, I am a certified teacher trainer and I am a Yoga Alliance continuing education provider, and I am an experienced registered yoga teacher. These are all, like, labels, you guys, really that mean, like, nothing. But, um, yeah, more like street cred. Okay, yeah, okay, cool. All right, so yes, street cred. It will give you street cred. So, hey Tiffany, it's nice to see you. If you get your 200-hour yoga teacher training, you can work anywhere you want, boo. You can work anywhere you want. You can work at the gym, you can work at a yoga studio, which honestly I always tell people, like, yoga studio is the least, the last place I'll work because they only pay like $20 a class. If you do your own thing, If you go and start your own thing, which is what I teach you to do in my yoga teacher trainings, if you start your own thing, you are much more likely to make a decent living. And to like— so let's think of it this way, okay? You go to the cafe that's near you and you love that place. You're like, oh, this place is awesome. I go, I get coffee here, it's amazing, I love it. It's Sunshine Coffee Roasters on the corner of my house. I just love this place. Where you go up to Sunshine Coffee Roasters and you say like, hey, you know, I'm, um, you know what, I don't know how to say your name, so I'm just gonna say I'm, I'm Ms. Salazar, and I, I want to do a joint venture with you. Would you be interested in doing a brunch yoga class with everybody, and they get a coffee and they get a yoga class and we charge them $20, right? And it's on Saturday morning and, you know, like maybe your friend comes and plays live music or something, you split the money with them, you charge $25, you split it 3 ways, right? You each get like $8 and, um, $8.33. Okay, but you multiply that by, let's say, 10 people come to your class. Okay, so now you've made $8 or $800 $83. You made $83 if you had 10 people come to your class, you split it 3 ways. If you split it 2 ways and you did $20, now you have, you know, $100. Whereas if you teach at a yoga studio, you got $20. You get $20 every time. It doesn't matter if there's 60 people in your class, it doesn't matter if there's 20 people, it doesn't matter if there's 2 people, you're always gonna pay that $20. So the other thing about yoga studios that is super restrictive is that you can't just be yourself. So you can't just like teach whatever you want. Yoga studios have a definite vibe, and I know from being a studio owner— I owned 3 yoga studios— so I know that I was very particular about the vibe that was happening there at the studio and who I hired. And I didn't allow people— people had to sign a non-compete, things like that. So studios are like the last place I suggest to my students to work because When you are teaching yoga, you want to keep teaching yoga, and if you want to keep teaching yoga, you got to make money that can help you to keep teaching yoga. You know, my landlord, he does not take, he does not take karma and avocados for rent payment. He only takes cash. I know, I just think of it as a money exchange, right? Okay, so another question is, how much do gyms pay? Okay, so gyms are going to be real similar to studios. They're going to pay really low unless You're talking about a private, like, high-end gym, those, like Equinox, Lifetime, now you're talking about like $75 a class sometimes. So, you know, not always, but it could be. Most of the time gyms are going to pay around the same, like $20, $25. However, the experience that you gain working at a gym is phenomenal. Like, working at the gym will teach you how to work with all different kinds of bodies. Amazing how much you'll learn teaching at the gym. So I always recommend my students to teach at the gym in the beginning. That's how I got to be a really good teacher, because you got to work with all these different kinds of people. You gotta, you know, I'd have like a 24-year-old girl come in and want to do handstands, and right next to her— this literally happened to me— and right next to her there's a woman with a pillow that's like, okay, I want to take a calm, peaceful class. And you're like, uh, and the gym doesn't let you be like, okay, this is yin yoga or restorative of yoga or vinyasa yoga. The gym is like, it's yoga. So, so I mean, it definitely has value, you know, once you get to be, you know, where you're a little bit more confident in your teaching skills. But honestly, people that graduate from my training— 3 people that graduated from the training last year opened their own studios like straight away. I just teach people in my trainings how to actually make a living as a yoga teacher, which I think is the thing that a lot of these courses are missing because they actually don't know. They don't fucking know. They don't know how to do it, so they can't teach you how to do it. I come from a corporate background, not that I'm proud of that because it's not really great to be corporate, but I learned how to make money. And so doing that, I transferred that into yoga, and it's all just like systems. You know, and it's really loving your clients, like really loving people. And really, like, I, like, I love people. I love working with people. I love more than anything. You can see some of my reviews. Like, I just posted a new review today from one of my students named Harley. I love her. I love Harley. Like, she is amazing. She's such a great student. She's just so incredible. And You know, I just love seeing people like work out their shit and transform their lives and do really well. So Blanche, thank you. These glasses are from Zenni Optical and they were like basically free, under $100 for progressive. I wear bifocals. Progressives are where your glasses are, you know, at the bottom they're close up and at the top they're far away and it's like in the middle is a medium, and it's just a lot easier than having the bifocal line. But, um, yeah, these are progressives and they were under $100 on Zenni Optical, so rush! Do not, do not pass go, just go right there and get those glasses. They're amazing. Okay, so I want to deep dive in and show you the course. Again, if you're watching me on TikTok, you can see this live on YouTube right now. Where I'm sharing screen. I don't have any way to do it on TikTok. I don't have any way. I'm sorry, you guys, but you can hear me talk about it. So in week 1, every week you're gonna get the— you're gonna get new content, right? You're gonna get new things to work on, new things to learn. You're going to get all of your assignments for the week and I break it down so it's really easy to manage so you don't feel overwhelmed. It's like, not like, oh, I'm just getting so much stuff at once. You're getting like enough that you're, you feel really good. My goal is to help you feel incredible so that when you finish this course, you just feel like, wow, I am so amazed at how good I am at teaching yoga. And how much I've learned. I always want to build people up, right? That's the most important thing, is building people up and making people feel really good about themselves. Because if you feel good about yourself, then you go out, you help other people feel good about themselves. And there's too much crap going on in the lives right now. Like, you know, it's like, it's just too much. I don't need to be sad. We need to be happy. If you get your 200-hour training done but didn't do the continuing education, do you have to? No. You can do continuing education any day, boo. I have tons of continuing education. Send me a DM, I'll send you some stuff. You can just log in and register your continuing education anytime. No, you never— once you take your 200-hour, you have that forever. You do not have to keep doing continuing education. Um, that's a dumb Yoga Alliance requirement. But send me a DM and I will set you up with, um, some continuing education that you can do. Okay, I actually have a free one, so I'll send it to you. Um, okay, so week 1, I break it up into easy-to-manage modules, and each one of the modules is going to teach you something different. So we're going to talk about the history and foundations of yoga and where did yoga come from, who taught— who was the first one to teach yoga, how did they bring it to the United States, what are the main yoga teachers. There's video, there's reading. I like to do the different forms of learning. You know how there's like kinesthetic learning, people who learn from hearing, people who learn from doing, people who learn from— you're welcome, Crystal, I appreciate you. People who learn from reading, right? We all have a different style of learning, so the course has a different style of learning for all the different styles so that however you learn, you're going to be able to learn from this course. Then each week we're going to cover a little bit of Sanskrit. Now, I don't want you to get scared about Sanskrit. I'm so good at teaching people Sanskrit, and they'd be crying in the beginning. They're like, "Why do you make me learn the Sanskrit, Angelica?" And at the end, you can teach a full class in Sanskrit, and you're like, Thank you so much. Thank you so much for making me learn this. So it's really just another language, right? So when you look at your hand and you think of this as your hand, I want you to think of it as your hasta. This is my hasta. Now the hasta— talk to the hasta because the muka does not understand. Hasta means hand, muka means face. So now you know the hasta and the muka. Right? And let's say down, when you're going downwards, that's auto, right? Auto is down. We just say auto. We're going auto. We're going auto, right? So we're going auto, mukha, auto, mukha, and then svava is dog and asana is pose. So auto, mukha, svanasana. Anybody know what that is? Downward Facing Dog. Okay. So anyhow, you will learn it in little bite-sized pieces every week, Sanskrit. Next, every week you're gonna have some kind of postures. We're gonna go over 100 of the most used yoga postures that you're gonna use over and over and over again, that you're gonna teach to people. I'm gonna teach you those postures from a traditional perspective, from a modern perspective. I'm gonna teach you how to use props in those postures, how to modify those poses, and I'm going to teach you everything that you need to know to transition from posture to posture successfully so that your class is like a flow, so that it feels like a dance to your students. People love that. I'm telling you right now, the secret between being a phenomenal yoga teacher and just being an okay yoga teacher is that ability to flow from pose to pose. And, and people can't put their finger on it, but it's what makes people different. What would you recommend to get work when starting off finishing the 200-hour teacher training? I would work at a gym straight away because you're not going to be the greatest teacher. Um, but honestly, like, that is the person to person to person thing, you know. Thank you for the likes, Crystal. I appreciate you. That's a person thing. And that's another thing about this course that's really cool is that I know all my students' names. You take some of these online yoga teacher trainings, it's all online, and people don't know who you are, and they don't know your name, and they don't know what you really want. I actually give a shit. I want you to be successful as yourself. I want you to do the best for you. So whatever Ms. Salazar— I don't know how to say your first name— but whatever Ms. Salazar feels like is the best way for her to teach is totally different than how Crystal thinks is the best way for her to teach, right? Everybody's gonna have a different place that's gonna really resonate with them, and we're gonna figure that out over the 10 weeks of the 200-hour yoga teacher training. We're gonna figure out what's best for you in a live way. So there's that live component And every week I'm going to send you a video of going over your practicum. Okay, so next is philosophy. So you'll go do the Yoga Sutras. We're going to go through all of Book 1 and Book 2 of the Yoga Sutras. I actually am running concurrently, as I'm running this yoga teacher training, I'm concurrently running an in-person yoga teacher training in Las Vegas, of which has a Zoom class on Wednesdays for the Yoga Sutras. So I think I'm just going to invite y'all to that as well. So you'll get 2 live Zoom classes every week because of that. Um, next you'll cover anatomy, and by anatomy I mean, uh, we will do spiritual anatomy, but I mean physical anatomy. So you're going to cover, you know, the different parts. And I have someone else that teaches anatomy because it is not my strong suit, but I have 2 different teachers that teach anatomy. One is a nurse, and the other one, she teaches yoga to people who are— have been in accidents and have to go to the chiropractor. They're both lovely, incredible women. You will love the anatomy section. And if you're anything like me, I walked into my first day of yoga teacher training, I had no idea. I was like, I do not know anything about bones and stuff. I don't know about that stuff. I don't know what it's all called. So I had to learn from scratch, from the very beginning of training, how to do all those things. —so, and what they all meant. But this will give you a really nice understanding because once you understand anatomy—so like, let's say you understand where the psoas muscle is, and once you understand, like, what different poses use the psoas muscle, which is a deep muscle here in between—where the hip bone is connected to the thigh bone. It's a deep muscle there, that psoas muscle. Once you understand where that is and what poses use it, then you can speak to that eloquently and you can set up your sequence around that. So, you know, like if I want to do, um, Hasta Padangusthasana, right? I want to do this pose— that's my foot— um, where I'm grabbing onto my toe, right? Well, that uses my psoas. And so, um, learning what those muscles are can be helpful for that kind of thing. It's not a medical degree. I'm not taking you through a doctor's degree. I'm just teaching you some basic yoga anatomy that's really going to help you. The next thing, and I think the component that I like the most and think is the awesomest in the whole training, is the Business of Yoga component. And that component is what's going to help you, like, really crush it. And we'll talk about from an individual perspective what it is that you want to do to monetize yoga so that you can keep teaching yoga, right? It's not about like, I'm gonna be so rich as a yoga teacher. You know what, I actually have made over a million dollars as a yoga teacher, but I didn't start it that way, and I didn't know that was gonna happen. But what I did do was follow my heart, and I always was like, you know what, Spirit, God, Universe, like even before I came on this call today, even before I came on this live, I was like, Spirit, God, Universe, Allow me to be of service to others. Allow me to say what I need to say to help someone out there. That someone out there be, be helped by what I'm saying tonight. That the people who are meant to hear this message hear it. And I always felt that way about my studio. Like, I was like, you know, as long as Spirit wants it to be here— Universe, God, divine understanding that we each have— then it will continue to be here. And so that's what I want to pull out of you, is the things that you want to do that are really gonna help others and feed your soul. Because I worked in a retail job for a long time and I made a lot more money than I make now, but I was soulless. I was super unhappy. I mean, I wouldn't say super unhappy. I'm the kind of person that makes light of everything. I'm always like, we're here now, okay, it's great, let's make that happen. I don't think I could feel that way about living in Ohio or something though, like That's like a lot of dark skies, and I don't think I can have that. I don't think I could be positive around that. So, um, let's just go back here and show you this anatomy basics. So if, if you're on your phone, this is how it's going to look. Um, if you're, if you're on TikTok, I'm actually live on YouTube too where you can— I'm sharing screen, um, if you wanted to watch it there. But, um, if you're on YouTube or Facebook my Facebook group right now, you'll see that this is what it actually looks like. This is the actual course on the inside. Uh, here is the Introduction to Anatomy with Summer, and my videos are all hosted on YouTube Unlisted, so it's really easy to, you like, press and back forward. And you do not have to be advanced, Nancy, at all. I am going to tell you the craziest story. Okay, so Nancy asked, how advanced do you need to be? I had a student last year who graduated. She had never done yoga before. She had never taken an actual yoga class in her whole life. She took my training. The last week, the final week of training, she opened her own yoga studio, and she's still running it right now. She's still running it, and I'm telling you, it was like divine intervention. Like, the divine really wanted her to do that because She started a Facebook group and like 200 people joined it, and she was like, what just happened? And so she was able to open a yoga studio straight away. Now she has another job too, it's not like she's like baller or something, but the course is designed to take you from beginner to expert. So anyone can take this course. Like, I set up this course so that you will walk in the door as if you know nothing about yoga and walk out the virtual door knowing everything you need to know to teach a class, build your own career as a yoga teacher, and feel super, super confident because that's what it should be. You shouldn't have to know anything before you go. Like when I first took French class, right, I'm— je parle français un peu, je travaillais en France pour l'Occitan, right? But I didn't know all that stuff walking in the door. I was like, well, I can only take French class if I know how to speak French. Like that's No, right? Like, that's not real. You learn everything you need to know. So, is there a time limit to complete? Hey, no worries, Nancy. It is a 10-week course. It starts at the first week of March. Each week you'll get new content to complete. I am leaving directly after this course is finished to go to the Bahamas. So, um, I would like you to finish it by then. The, the thing that I've noticed When I first started doing online yoga teacher training, I had no time limit to complete. I was like, you can just go at your own pace, and nobody finished. 2 people finished out of the 18 people that signed up for that course. 2 people finished. And so I was like, that doesn't work. I don't want you to just have a course that you, you're not finishing. I don't want you to just go at your own pace because you'll never finish. You'll never finish, like that's the reality. Do you know how many courses I've bought that I never finished 'cause they were go at your own pace, right? So it's 10 weeks. Now, during the week, when you get your release of your new content during the week, you can do that content whenever you want. So if you're a Saturdays and Sundays person, then you do all your content, great. If you wanna break it down, you're like, okay, it's about 20 hours of work a week, I'm gonna divide that, that's about 2.5 hours every day, Every day I'm gonna do about 2.5 hours. That's what works for me. I'm a person that likes to do a little bit every day. I would suggest to you not to be the kind of person that waits until the day before your assignment is due to complete them all, because that's when people freak out. I've had people that did that. Actually, the girl that opened the yoga studio, she did that, and in week 4 she was like, ahh! She was freaking out because she was not— she didn't really understand. She hadn't been really completing the work, and She had like a real come-to-Jesus moment, like, what am I gonna do? How, you know, and she did an overnighter and then she never got behind again. And at the end she opened a studio, so it worked out great for her, um, to, to like get back on track and to do it during the week. So I really suggest to like manage your time so that you, you're doing a little bit every day. And the cool thing is my entire course is made so that you can complete it on your phone. You do not have to have a computer, nothing. You just need a smartphone, that's it. You can do the whole course on your smartphone. You can send me all your videos on your smartphone. You can upload all of your assignments to YouTube on your smartphone. You can, um, complete all of your coursework on your smartphone. You could even, if you really wanted to, download all the books that you need on your smartphone and read them on your, your Kindle thing there. Now I would suggest that We use 3, 4 texts for the course, and I would suggest that you get Light on Yoga, like, as an actual book, because Light on Yoga is a really cool book that is, like, filled with the poses, and you want to, like, reference it over and over in your life. Yeah, so it takes 200 hours, right? Because it's a 200-hour training. So if somebody is telling you that they have a 200-hour yoga teacher training, because someone was like, and it takes 200 hours, Crystal said that. So somebody's telling you they have a 200-hour yoga teacher training and it's not, um, and they, and they're like, man, we'll be done in 2 weeks. They're lying to you because it really has to be 200 hours to be a 200-hour yoga teacher training. I am like kind of testing to see because I know that more people need to take a 200-hour, but, um, I am kind of testing to see how this goes and then I might host a 300-hour after this across this summer as a group training, but right now I'm just focused on the 200. I do, do 300-hour yoga teacher training privately, one-on-one, and then this is the group training for the 200-hour. Okay, so that's revenue streams. Then every week I'm going to release to you one practice class that you need to take from someone who I know and trust, and some of them are, one of them's my class, and it's just to expose you to different styles of yoga and different teachers. So every week you'll get a different class. This— the first week is Monica Oliver. I love Monica. Monica worked for me at the yoga studio. She got her 500-hour from me. She's incredible. She's a really wonderful human being. I absolutely adore her. We share a love for cotton candy grapes. So that will be your person the first week, and then you choose 2 more classes from the online yoga studio. So within this course There is a virtual yoga studio, and in that virtual yoga studio is a whole bunch of different classes for you to take with different teachers and different people and to give you a different perspective. Some of them are like— here's one that's feet-focused vinyasa. That's really cool. That's my friend Amy. She's a great teacher. You're gonna really love her. And I, I just throwing a lot of different kinds. There's Kundalini yoga in here, there's chair yoga, there's yin yoga, restorative yoga, chakra yoga. I just want you to learn all different kinds so that you can solidify what it is that you want to teach, right? Like, what do you want to teach? What kind of yoga do you want to teach? You don't know until you try a lot of different kinds. You might be exposed to something you never even thought of before. So, um, you'll take 2 additional classes every week on top of the one that I choose for you. Those classes you will choose. And then every week I'm going to release to you a meditation, and the meditation is going to be a different teacher. It's going to be someone that I really like, uh, somebody famous. And I'm going to expose you to a bunch of different styles of meditation so that you can see, like, how do you want to meditate? Because everybody's different. There's, there's so many different kinds of ways. When people say, I can't meditate, I'm like, what do you mean you can't meditate? You're crazy. There's so many ways to meditate. You can definitely meditate. Oh my gosh, get out of here. So you can definitely do it. So I want to give you like different people, different styles, different ways to meditate so that you can figure it out. Then every week you're going to have a practicum assignment and you may have a Business of Yoga assignment as well on different weeks. The practicum assignment is you actually teaching. Okay, so the first week is Surya Namaskar A. We'll go down here and look at it. And that's your first flow. And here is the little secret I'm going to tell you. The secret of the course is that I am teaching you a little section of yoga teacher training— or of a sequence every single week. So you start with your Surya Namaskar A, then you do Surya Namaskar B, then you do your standing poses, then you do your forward folds, and you do your backward bends, you do your finishing poses, your meditation, then you do your Shavasana, and then you put it all together. In week 9, you will teach a 30-minute private yoga class to one person, and in week 10, you will actually go out. I will prepare you, don't be scared. I will prepare you, and in week 10, you will actually go out and you will teach yoga to a group. You'll find a place to teach. You'll, you know, people have done it in their garage, people have done it in their friend's backyard, people have rented community centers, people have had dance studio friends. Like, it's a great way for you to learn to make connections. And the thing is, if you don't teach other people during this training, you never will. So I force you to do that straight away because I want you to feel in the comfortable bosom of me being able to tell you like, you did great at that, you did awesome, because I've been doing this for 20 years. I'm gonna tell you right now, I have never— that's not true, I had one student in 20 years that I was like, that wasn't that great. But that, I think that was my fault really, like I should have caught him earlier on and been like, You need to learn this stuff. And you know, like, everybody is different. Like, over time, I learned how to be more direct with my students. And you know, when I first became a teacher trainer, it was actually my second or third yoga teacher training that I had somebody who wasn't really— he needed a lot more help. I've done 28 now, so I'm like way— I have a lot more experience now. And then all the people that have graduated online, but I didn't— sometimes we feel like it's hard for us to say, like, you need more practice at this, or how can I help you to get, to get more focus on the names of the poses, or that kind of thing. And, and oftentimes we feel really afraid to be direct with people. And I've learned over the years how to be direct in a caring way, because it's not caring for me to not tell people that they're not that they're not doing the level that they need to. You know, I had somebody that turned me in a half-assed assignment during their yoga teacher training course, and recently over the summer, and I just said to her, I was like, is this the kind of work that you want to do? Like, you know, like, honestly, you're not hurting my feelings. You know, like, this is for you. You're doing this training for you, not for other people. So if you don't feel like you've turned in your best work, then it's only you that you're hurting. It's not me. So I want you to turn in your best work for you, and I'll let you know if I feel like it's not your best work. But most people, I mean, by and far, like thousands of people in, everybody does a great job. And what I like to focus on when I'm training people to become yoga teachers And that's what the focus is going to be in this 200-hour yoga teacher training that starts in March. What I like to focus on is I like you to focus on your strengths, okay? So when we, when we're teaching social media, right, when I have my social media coach teaches me, he says to me, you know, what are you doing right? What are the things that you're doing that are getting more views? What are the things that you're doing that people really enjoy? And he says, like, lean into that, right? That's the same way with yoga teacher training. What are the things that you're doing that are super effective? What are the things that you're doing that are ineffective, right? We get rid of the ineffective, and the things that are effective, we really lean into. And that is your unique voice. That is your unique style. And that's what I'm gonna pull out of you during this 200-hour yoga teacher training. So looking at the assessment, then each week you'll have a different assessment. It starts small and it gets bigger. So the first few weeks you're gonna be just doing like a couple of minutes of recording and teaching somebody. And then by the third week, you're gonna teach 7 to 8 minutes. And then it just gets a little bit longer and a little bit longer and builds you up and builds up your confidence. Everybody can do this. You know, It's interesting because I had this conversation with my coach today about what makes me different than the other people online, right? What makes me different? And how— why is that all these people are just like meeting all their, their audience online and I'm not? You know, like, what are— you know, we always have our pity parties, right? And I realize that it's like, it's nothing. It's just that they went out and did it, you know? Like, you can sit there all day long and be like 'Oh, that would be really fun to do. Wouldn't it be great if I just signed up for Angelica's 200-hour yoga teacher training? That would be so cool, and I start in March, and you know, it's like totally affordable, and it's in the right time frame, and you know, it's really supportive, and it sounds like such a great deal, but you know, I just— it's just probably not the right time,' or 'I don't have the money,' or, you know, or 'I don't feel like I'm good enough.' You know, like, that's all just bullshit. Like, that's just bullshit that we're telling ourselves. Like, we're constantly telling ourselves stuff that isn't reality. Like, I'm telling you, this is not rocket science. It's yoga teacher training and intensive. You don't even have to teach when you're done. You will have all the tools that you need to teach. I have taken people who literally know nothing. I had a student last year that every single time she would just try me, I was just like, why are you doing it that way? But I never gave up on her. Like, I never give up, you know? Like, I will help you. You You will finish this training and feel good about yourself. There's nobody that can't do it. Most people are way, way, way, way better at it than they think that they are. Most people are actually really incredible. And does it matter how old you are? No, it doesn't. I have students that are like 65 years old. I just had somebody sign up for my teacher training in Las Vegas, 65 years old. You know, like, it doesn't matter. Your age doesn't matter. You don't have to be 18. There's a client for everyone, right? So I am 48 years old. Oh, I'm towards the end of menopause. I'm a little bit chunky, you know, I'm working on it, but you know, I mean, like, I'm not the thinnest person, but there's tons of people that love to work with me. There's tons of people that— first of all, I'm really knowledgeable. I'm really— I have like 40 years in the yoga industry, so I have tons of perspective and history. I trained with some of the most incredible, well-known yoga teachers in the whole world. Like, it, it's been such an cool, amazing journey. Like, there's so many people that I can help, and it's the same with you. I'm not special, I'm not different. You can help anybody. You can help anybody become a— you can help anybody become a yogi. You can help anybody to do yoga, there are people that are gonna love you. There are people that are going to love you. So if you're even like pondering it at all, I encourage you to listen to that voice inside of you and to sign up for online yoga teacher training with me. It starts in March. I have some prep courses to get you ready, particularly, uh, Sanskrit, because I know people really struggle with that. There's some— a couple of preparatory courses that you'll get right away when you sign up, and those classes will help you to get really prepared for a class, feel really confident walking into it. You'll set up a one-on-one welcome meeting with me. I meet with every single person before we get started so I understand what your goals are, I understand what it is that you want to achieve, I understand who it is that you want to help, I understand where you're coming from, and I know you. I'm really good with names. I remember people. I love people, and I actually give a shit, you know, like I care. I want you to be successful. So if you're thinking about it, definitely get in there. If you need— if you want to talk to me personally, I'm happy to meet with people on Zoom too, like ahead of time, if you have some questions and you're like, oh, you know, you can just sign up. If you're ready to sign up, you can go to www.yogateachertaining.yoga But if you're not ready and you need some more time and you want to ask some more questions, just send me a DM. Or, you know, like, if you want to meet me, I want you to succeed. I'll meet with everybody. I don't care, you know, like, I want you to do what's right for you. I want you to feel really good about everything that you're doing. Like, ultimately, the whole point of this is for happiness. I'm only doing this so that you can be happy and I can be happy. Because there's a lot of heartache in this world. I've come from a really, really difficult place multiple times in my life, and we're going through a difficult time right now as a society. I feel a little bit like Keith Lee right now. I just did the Keith Lee, you guys. He's also from Vegas, we're Vegas people. But now is a really hard time for everybody, right? Like, we're just collectively as a group I don't know why that's like that. We're collectively as a group just going through kind of a tough time, and it's a recession. And, you know, I was just talking on my, my call earlier today with my coach, and I started my first yoga studio during a recession. It was the best thing. It was the best thing because the recessions don't last forever, and I was completely ready to go. When that recession ended, and I blew up, and I blew up. And I think that's really a big part of why I made over a million dollars teaching yoga is because I came in during a recession. So do not feel like this is a bad time. This is a great time. Yoga teacher training isn't just about a career. It isn't just about becoming a certified yoga teacher. It's also about the journey of life and the transformation that we have going through yoga and learning about ourselves. The chakras will be the biggest, the hugest transformation for you. Going through the chakras every single week and learning about the different chakras and learning about the energy centers within you and reading the book that we read about the chakras, that book is so intense. It's so good. It will change your life. So if you've been thinking about it, I highly encourage you to join my online yoga teacher training. The link is in my profile, or you can just go to— make sure you put the www, because for some reason it doesn't work if you don't do the www.yogateachertraining.yoga. I could not buy the.com. But I did buy the Dot Yoga, which is the same, only better. Thank you so much. If you are on TikTok and you would like to join my Facebook group, this is also simulcast live on my Facebook group. I'm also doing a Zoom on Thursday. So if you're on my email list, which you can get on by signing up for my free Ultimate Guide to Yoga Teacher Training, that link is in my profile as well. On Thursday, I'm doing a Zoom live and sharing screen, but, uh, Yeah, I will, I'm happy to answer any of your questions. And if you get into my Facebook group, you can see this replay with the actual login and showing it. So again, thank you so much. Happy Valentine's Day, everybody. I love you guys. Thank you for all the comments and stuff. Y'all were awesome. Have a great day, and I hope to see you in training. Okay, bye. Oh, okay, there we go. And okay, bye Facebook and YouTube land. Finish.
