Most online yoga teacher programs have under 20% graduation rates and even lower job placement. One instructor invested $50,000 in training and earned over $1 million teaching, arguing that what matters is whether a program actually gets you certified and working, not the price tag.
If you're thinking about taking yoga teacher training and your first question is, "How much does it cost?" You're asking the wrong question. In the average online training, less than 20% of people even graduate from the program and receive certification. And an even smaller rate of people actually get jobs teaching yoga. So the questions that you need to be asking are: How many people graduate from your course? How many people get a job after graduation? It doesn't matter if you pay $99 or $300 or $5,000. What matters is, can you make a living from what you've learned? I've spent over $50,000 educating myself as a yoga teacher, and I've made over a million dollars. But if what you want to do is change people's lives, then ask what it is that you get from your training.
