Hey, I'm Angelica, and if you're new to this channel, welcome! I'm excited to have you here. We just have to get on board. Okay, let's get to it. So Vishuddha chakra today is what we're talking about, the throat chakra, the fifth chakra. So this class wants to be centered around sound, right? So you're gonna have a lot of Om. I teach bhakti, so in my classes I do bhakti for this. And, you know, if you don't teach bhakti, you can still do movement and sound. So I took a class one time with Rod Stryker, who is a phenomenal yoga teacher if you don't know him. I definitely would look him up. He's a classic. He's someone that has been teaching for a very long time. Rod will sometimes teach class where he has people, um, Om in the posture. So they'll be like, inhale Virabhadrasana 1, exhale to Exalted Warrior as you Om.
Om.
You know, like you're moving through the poses and Oming and Fantastic. Um, so the Vishuddha chakra, it's all about that throat energy, right? It's about speaking your truth. It's about listening, right? So maybe you speak too much like me, and then you need to learn how to listen. That's Vishuddha chakra right there. People who have a fear of speaking or small voices, this type of class is really going to help them. Start to use their voice to speak and to move out. And so listen, today I thought we would do something a little bit different and fun.
This is my harmonium, and we're gonna do a little Vishuddha chakra because why not, right?
That's— you gotta get your throat chakra ready before you can get other people's throat chakras ready. Let's start with something easy. Okay, we're gonna do a little chant, Om Mani Padme Hum, which means let's bring the light from the mucky muck waters of the darkness and transform. So the lotus flower goes through the transformation from the mucky muck of the darkness Hi, buddy. The lotus flower comes from the transformation of the darkness and into the light where it becomes a beautiful flower, and that symbolizes our transformation from the darkness of life and the things that bring us down as we transform through traumas and become flowers of light. So let's do a little bit of the Om Mani Padme Hum and help us to transform. And just, you know what, just go with it. Because listen, you're in your house, you're by yourself, ain't nobody there, you know, maybe you're in your car, whatever, it doesn't matter. No, nobody knows what you're doing. Just let your throat chakra open and be free. Because if you can't do this, like, you can't teach it. That's— you can do this. Come on, come on.
I don't care what your voice sounds like.
Neither does Spirit God or Universe.
Because they made it.
You're divine and beautiful. My dog has an itch.
Oh, my name, my name. Om Mani Padme Hum. Om Mani Padme Ooh, ooh. This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine. This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine. This little light of mine I'm gonna let it shine Let it shine! Let it shine! I won't let anyone blow it out No, I'm going to let it shine I won't let no one blow it out No, I'm gonna let it shine I won't let anyblowitoutnoimgonnaletitshineletsshine lets Shine? Shiny shiny?! This little light of mine I'm gonna let it shine This little light of mine I'm gonna let it shine This little light of mine I'm gonna let it shine Let it shine! Let it shine! Shine. Yeah, that's the Vishuddha chakra, friends. That's how you let your voice go. That's the yoga of bhakti. The yoga of devotion, the yoga of clarity. So anyhow, I hope you enjoyed that. If you didn't sing, rewind it and sing. You gotta learn to let your voice go if you want to be free, right? I know at first I was like, what is this? This is crazy. What are these people doing? They're nuts. But you know what? I joined the nuts because it's fun and life is short. So I hope that you enjoyed. Below in the description. Have a wonderful day and I'll see you tomorrow for the Ajna chakra. Bye everybody.
