A yoga teacher with 20 years of experience says she built her career by copying only the most successful teachers, never learning from struggling instructors. She argues that financial viability matters, and you should ignore advice from people who haven't achieved what you want.
This is the honest truth about how I got to be a really good yoga teacher. I just went to classes of yoga teachers that were really super successful, and I copied what they were doing. I didn't bother going to classes of people who didn't have what I wanted. I only went to yoga classes with people who were crushing it. And I know it's yoga and it's like, oh, you're supposed to be so loving and everything, but you can't be loving and everything and have a lot of clients if you aren't still teaching because you didn't make any money teaching yoga. Never follow the advice of someone who does not have what you want. And I know you want what I have, so go ahead and hit that follow button.
