This is how you teach 3 variations of backbend in your yoga classes. We want to make it accessible for everyone. Press the tops of the feet into the ground, spread the fingertips wide, press your hands into the ground, relax the glutes, and then slowly bring your chest up. You should be able to lift your hands off the ground here. Take an inhale. On your exhale, go ahead and lower down. I need you to cross your hands behind your back, tops of the feet into the ground, and lift up your chest. From here, you draw your hand back Take a deep inhale and exhale, lower down, release the hands. Bend your knees and grab onto your feet with your hands. You're gonna make sure that your knees are in line with your hips. Press your feet into your hands and lift up onto your stomach. Not onto your hips, but onto the stomach. Nice and high. From here, go ahead and inhale. Exhale, lower down, release.
