A yoga teacher shows how to use a wheel for shoulder stand, starting from bridge pose with the wheel under your hips. Keep your shoulders grounded, grip the wheel to stop it rolling, and never turn your head side to side. As you get comfortable, scoot the wheel up your back for leg variations.

In today's 1 Minute Yoga Teacher Training, we're going to be using the wheel again. We're going to use the wheel today in shoulder stand. It's going to help us bend our lumbar spine and help us get our legs up into the air. The first thing you're going to want to do is get into a bridge position. Our bridge is just when we have our shoulders on the ground and our hips are raising up. You're going to raise your hips as high as you can and start to work the wheel underneath of your hips. Then from here would be like a first position position shoulder stand. Notice that I have both hands on the wheel so it won't roll away. Another important tip in shoulder stand is to make sure not to move your head side to side like I'm doing right now because your head will snap off and roll down the floor. Nobody wants that. When you're ready to move to the next level, you can just start to scoot the wheel up your back. Once we start to build up further along the back, We can start to move our legs in fun positions. Bring the feet down if you want and start to work moving along the back. To come out, grab on to the wheel and slowly roll out.
