Transforming Beliefs into Reality with Danny Romero Episode 112

In this Yogalebrity podcast episode, host Angelica Govert interviews Danny Romero, a former corporate professional with a chemistry degree who transitioned into yoga teaching, Reiki, and chakra work. Danny recounts his strict religious upbringing, his academic background in chemistry, and his subsequent spiritual quest that led him to explore meditation, breathwork, and yoga, eventually focusing on yin yoga and the chakra system. He describes how he used online yoga teacher training to deepen his practice, the challenges of leaving a lucrative business for a purpose‑driven career, and the process of building an online presence through Instagram and the Empowered Yoga Teachers course. Danny outlines his newly launched chakra course, which includes an ebook detailing each chakra’s physical, emotional, and energetic signs, affirmations, foods, colors, crystals, sound‑bath recordings tuned to each chakra, guided meditations, yin‑yoga classes, journal prompts, and a one‑on‑one Reiki session. He shares anecdotal Reiki experiences where he intuitively sensed clients’ imbalances, reinforcing his belief in the power of energy work. The conversation also touches on manifestation, the belief‑emotion‑thought‑circumstance loop, community building, over‑delivering value, and the desire to leave a legacy of empowering others to transform beliefs into reality.

So thank you, Danny, so much for joining today.

What really drew you to yoga?
Um, so long story short— well, actually, let's say first off, I never had the intentions of being a yoga teacher. That was never the goal when I first started. So I was having a few issues dealing with life and things like that. And so I was searching for, you know, something that will kind of help me through things. And I grew up super religious and that was— church was everything growing up. I grew up Church of Christ. So very strict, very strict upbringing and just didn't really ever sit well with me. I think growing up it was more because, you know, Grandpa went there, Mom went there, aunts, cousins, things like that. So it was instilled in me, you know, to go to church every Sunday, every Wednesday, and things like that. But when I graduated high school and moved out and went to college, it was like a freedom to look and dive into other religions and other things like that and kind of figure out what other people believe and why they believe them, you know. And so that kind of started or kind of kickstarted more of a spiritual journey. And so even after that, there were years of this and that and life just lifing, you know, things happening and still not back to that happiness that I once had. And so I continued to search and try things and do other studies and really dove into a lot of spirituality, a lot of metaphysics, a lot of things like that. Um, and I went to college, I majored in chemistry, so I kind of already had an understanding kind of called quantum mechanics and things like that, how that works. So that sent me on a journey of diving into that, learning more about that, but still it wasn't something still wasn't right. Something still wasn't clicking. And so it seems like no matter how good I would do, or things that I'm thinking, doing good or helping people, stuff like that, it seemed like it would always be like this, this dip. And it seems like for a while, you know, things would kind of suck and couldn't understand like why I'm trying so hard, you know. And so that continued my journey into more spirituality, more psychological things. And I really got about— got into, you know, how you think and how you treat your body and how you talk to yourself in the subconscious. And so during all this time, I messed around with yoga a little bit, did a couple classes here and there, a couple online things that I did, but it wasn't like, oh, this is everything, I've got to do yoga. And so continuing on my journey, things still not quite right, but you know, now that I'm paying attention to it and being mindful of what's happening in my life and what is going on mentally— before I felt like, you know, I'm going through some tough times— it started to make sense that the more and more I thought about bad things happening, the more and more bad things started to happen. So it clicked in my head to realize that even with all this going on it always worked out. Something happened, something went through, and it worked out. And so it just hit me one day, and it was just like an eye-opening moment that even though I may be going through things, the more mindful that I am that I'm going to get past it and change that perspective and that narrative of it, it actually works out. And so then I really, really started diving more into spirituality and thinking and reading the Kabbalah and things like that. And it kind of led me more into yoga. So I started doing yoga and I started doing the mindful practices more, started really, really working with breathwork, and that led me into doing more Reiki. So I knew a little bit about energy work and things like that, but then I just kind of dove into it. So one thing about me is, and I don't claim this, but there's probably a little ADHD in there somewhere. So sometimes I get hyperfixated on things, and when I get hyperfixated on it, I want to learn everything about it. I want to talk about it. I want to do it. I'm going to do everything it is so I can get it. And the thing about yoga is it's that journey of self, and there's never an end. This is continual, continually happening, continue going, continually growing. So there's no way for me to get bored with it. So that started me, like I say, going down, doing yoga, paying more attention to the energy and things that was going on, the way that you think, the way that you look at life and your perspective and stuff like that. So doing the yoga practices that I would do online, you know, here and there, I noticed how I started to feel better and things seemed to get a little bit better when I did yoga. Now, if I miss yoga for like a week, it was like, man, that was a rough week. Let me do a little bit of yoga and see how this works out. So I continue doing it, but as I'm doing it, it's, um, looking at yoga videos online and there's more, a little bit on Instagram. I wasn't too heavy on Instagram at the time, but I'm learning and seeing, you know, this is how you do this pose and this is how you do this pose. So I decided to take yoga teacher training for purely selfish reasons. This was not to teach and do this. It was all for me. It was totally for me. I want to make sure that I was doing the poses right, that I was understanding what was going on. And things like that. So this was totally not for anybody else at all but me. So I never thought I was going to be a teacher. That was not the goal. I didn't, it wasn't that I didn't want to be a teacher, it's just that I didn't see myself getting up and doing that. And then when you look at most yoga, especially online and things like that, it's mostly kind of middle-aged white women that's doing this. They have this perfect body type and they're the ones that do yoga. And it's like, oh, if you do yoga, something's wrong with you, like blah, blah, blah. Like, that's only for girls. And I guarantee you, you can be— because I used to do bodybuilding shows, and so being in the gym and working out and doing things like that, I was okay with that. Yoga, you would kick my butt. Like, yoga really would. And so it wasn't just a physical thing, it became a mental thing, because as you're doing some of the poses and, you know, holding these poses, this is totally different from like I say, doing bodybuilding, you know, I'm snatching 600 pounds off the ground. Doing yoga and holding the pose and there's no weights in my hand and this is extremely hard made me realize even more the mind and body, mind-body connection. And so I started taking the yoga teacher training and what I did actually was I took online teacher training. So I know people will say things like this or whatever about online yoga teacher training. It was the best thing for me because I was able to do this course at my own pace and actually dive in to learn the poses, being able to have the time to read the books and read the philosophies and things that all go in, go in with yoga, as well as, you know, really jumping into the breathwork. And like I say, which led me into other areas. And so doing the online course, I was able to take my time and truly like dive into it the way that I would have wanted to, that you may not get if you're going to you know, every weekend here for 10 weeks, you know, you, you have to be able to, you know, balance life and everything else. And so I was able to do that by taking it online. And so I did that. I finished the course and I felt a lot better at it. So therefore I started going to different yoga studios and checking out how they taught and watching more on YouTube. And instead of actually just doing the poses and going through the classes on YouTube, I'm actually listening to what they're saying, how they're teaching, things that's happening, you know, and truly making that connection while I'm also doing the practice. So that completely changed the way that my online practice became. And so with that being said, I continued doing that. I want to get better and better and better, you know, and I would even play in my head like I was teaching the class, like, this is how I would do it, this is what I would say, you know, and just see if I could, you know, be able to do it. And so After that, I did it for a while and I kind of slacked off of it. Like I said, it wasn't my goal to become a yoga teacher, so I continued doing yoga on my own, but it was not necessarily going out to different studios and checking it out. And so at this time, I'm also working in an industry that really wasn't fulfilling for me. It was really good for what it was at the time. and they helped me get out of a couple slumps, you know, and it was really good for that. But overall, it didn't sit well with my soul. I wasn't truly happy with the direction that my life was going, the people that I was dealing with, the situations that were happening, and it wasn't it. And it got to the point to where, you know, I was doing really good with this business. I was actually making really, really good money, great money for, you know, it being me. So awesome, things are going good business-wise, but mentally, physically, this is not it. I'm tired, I'm stressed out, I'm worried about this and that and trying to hire people and going through the whole deal of, you know, owning your own business. And it just wasn't— it wasn't it, it wasn't it. And so that made— that pushed me even further to do that inner work and to jump into more of my yoga And when I say yoga, I don't mean, oh, I'm hitting the mat, I'm doing asanas. There's sometimes I would hit the mat and I just roll around on the mat for a minute. I would sit there and I would do breathwork. I would play a sound bowl, you know, I would do things like that. And that truly began to open me up to being like, you know what, I kind of like this a lot. And not that I just like it, that I feel like a lot of people could really benefit from this. And kind of where I come from, like I say, being super religious, yoga is kind of one of those taboo things. And I'm from Oklahoma, and I still currently live in Oklahoma right now, and it's a very religious place. And so religion is kind of everywhere. And when you talk about things like yoga and sound baths and Reiki, and people are— if they even know what it is, they're kind of standoffish from it. So it takes you know, a certain type of person to be able to even introduce these type of modalities to people. And so that made it even more to where I felt isolated in the industry that I was. And so I can say with that, I still dove deeper and deeper into the philosophies of yoga and the different things that come out of yoga. And it just kind of hit me one day that, you know what, I, I want to wake up one day and I just want to go teach yoga. I don't want to have to go worry about this. I don't want to have to worry about checking in with this. I just want to get up and I want to teach yoga. I want to people, and then I want to come home and do whatever it is that I need to do. And so I truly really believe in manifestation, and so I started to think about it and let me— seeing myself in these positions and doing things. I even had a couple of readings to where, you know, I would go to somebody and they would do a card reading and they would say, you know what, I see you standing in front of people then talking and doing things like this. And it hit me like, it's kind of always had that thought even since I was a kid, like I see myself up and teaching and stuff like this. And so I decided to really jump in and start looking around for a place that I may fit in. And so as I'm trying to transition out of this business is when I really heavily got into looking into places to possibly teach, or at least have like a yoga family. Um, I really got into doing the inner work with different therapy and therapy modalities, really, really dove into the sound therapy and how that worked. During this time, I've got— I went through my accreditations for being Reiki master. So I really jumped into doing things like that. And like I say, with me and my personality, I like hyperfixate on certain things. And so I really was able to hyperfixate on a lot of different healing modalities. And I read the books and did this, and it just more and more tried to transition myself out of the business. And the more and more I did that, it seemed the more and more that the business just really what started not to work. It became harder. There were rule changes, law changes, things like this, and it just started not to work out anymore, which just eventually pushed me more and more and more to do yoga and to do different healing modalities and things like that because that's what fed my soul. And so I was like, okay, you know what, I'm gonna do this. I don't know how I'm gonna do this. I don't know how it's gonna work. I don't know how I'm gonna go from making good money and being comfortable, you know, I was able to go out, do what I want. You want to go out to eat? I got you. Don't worry about it. Hey, it's on me. Not a big deal. It's fine. But that just wasn't, that wasn't the life that I wanted. And I'm surrounded by the people that I really don't want to be surrounded by anymore. And I'm having to put on this face and act like I'm interested in things that these people are interested in. And it's like, I really don't care. And they would, you know, you know, so-and-so and this person's been doing this for years and years and blah, blah. And I'm just no interest at all. None. And so as this is happening, I really am starting to understand that this is not just a job transition. This is a whole embodiment. Like everything is starting to change the way that I think, the way that I feel, the perspective that I have, the people that are coming into my life, the situations, opportunities that are coming in my life are really starting to line up with what it is that I want to do. And that's when they talk about, you know, walking in the alignment. The more and more that I did what I wanted to do that fed my soul, that made me happy, pushed me further and further away from the industry that I was in that wasn't doing that anymore. And so finally, um, after, you know, having my certifications and deciding, you know, just to learn different parts of disciplines, um into yoga, I discovered yin yoga. And so I'd heard of yin yoga and kind of did it, not even did it before, didn't have a clue what it was, but I was like, you're holding poses for 3 to— that seems really hard. So therefore I think I need to try it. So I did that. And the first time I did yin yoga was truly an experience being able to truly feel my body breathing through the poses, understanding what was happening in my body, really unlocked things for me that made it simple for me to understand, okay, yoga is the way for me to go. Doing these modalities is the way to go. This works. And not to, you know, knock anybody else to religion. Religion, I feel like, has its place. So people who need religion, more power to you. That's all good and great. I feel like for me it was kind of a background for where it was that I was trying to go and what I was trying to get to. And so, like I say, no, no fuck or anything to anybody that's in religion, but religion didn't work for me. And going to the churches and doing all of this, it didn't work for me. And doing the modalities that I did and that I studied and understanding the, the limbs of yoga and really truly practicing those on a daily basis, that's what worked. And I started to see things line up easier and easier. And so I was like, okay, let's, let's try this. And we had a big deal with the industry that I was in. And finally I was just like, you know what, I'm done. Like, I'm not renewing licenses, I'm not continuing hiring people, I'm not good, I'm, I'm done. I, I don't want to do it no more. And That made the choice. Well, I won't say that made the choice for me, but that's really what pushed me to be like, okay, you know what, I want to do what I want to do. The money is cool. The money is great. Money is not everything. And I mean, I didn't have that much money to say, you know, money is, you know, you whatever. But you know, you do need money and things like that. You gotta have it. But my life goal is not to just continually make money, make money, make money, make money. I want to be able to have a life. And that's what it was that I was doing, is just doing everything to make money, make money, and not even enjoying it. And so I decided, you know what, I'd rather be broke and have nothing and be happy than to have, you know, this amount of money in my pocket and blah blah blah, you know, feeling good about myself when internally I don't. And so With that being said, I, um, like I said, I was studying and getting really heavy into the yin yoga and really truly liking it. So I found a yoga studio around me and I went and talked to them, and happened to be a guy teaching yoga, which is kind of like rare, especially around these parts, you know. And he was really cool, he was really nice, and, you know, I told him, I was like, you know, I've been thinking about, you know, starting to teach yoga. And he was like, Great. He's like, what kind of yoga do you teach? And I was like, well, you know, I can do vinyasas and I, you know, I'll do this and that, but I really like yin yoga. And he was like, perfect, because I hate yin yoga. You're hired. And at that point, the next Wednesday I go and I teach a yin yoga class and I'm super nervous. I don't feel like I know anything about what I'm doing. And I had actually brought sound bowls so I could play like a sound bath at the And honestly, I'm thinking, oh, this is really cool. I can add this in. People will love this, but it's also less time that I have to teach. So therefore, let's bring the sound bowl in. That way we can kill up about 10 minutes, which was a great idea. I love that anything, but that's kind of also what I was thinking. So I go there and I walk in, I introduce myself to everybody, you know, and I start teaching class. And throughout the class, I feel like I'm, I'm supposed to be and I'm helping people. People are getting benefits out of this and I'm happy. Now, am I making a lot of money doing this right now? No, I wasn't. No, no, not at all. But it made me so much happier and the money didn't even matter at the time. I'm just like, it doesn't matter. Like, this is, this is truly makes me feel like I should be doing this. And so from that point, I continued to study. And just try to get better and better and better. And like I say, kind of hyperfixated, but I can't get bored with the journey in the inner self. So I've read, you know, several books and just continue to stay on that path because that was the path that worked. And when I say I do yoga every day, I do yoga every single day. I don't necessarily hit my mat and do asanas and hitting Warrior II and handstands and stuff like that. But I'm doing some form of yoga every single day because this is a lifestyle change. Like I say, you have to embody that. And if you want to see, I want to say, like, all the benefits of yoga, you have to do all the parts of the yoga.
Yeah, yeah. You know, um, it's interesting that you should say that because I, um, also was really more drawn to the spiritual, mystical meditative mind part of yoga than the physical aspect, um, because I also— I grew up Catholic, so very religious family as well, so very similar. And, um, I also was seeking that spirituality and that connection with community and with the people around me. Um, and I think that there's, you know, a lot of people don't go to church anymore, right? And But we know from studies done on the happiest people in the world and studies done on the people who live the longest, that community and connection is one of the biggest parts of having a long, healthy, happy life. And so I believe that, you know, it's a weird thing to say, but like yoga is my church, right? And it's like how I connect with the divine and how I connect with others. So I love that about your story, and I think that's really incredible. Also, you know, what's really interesting is at the beginning you said something about how, you know, yoga is primarily like middle-aged white women, right? But like, that's not how it started, right? Yoga was actually yoga asana, and really yoga itself as a philosophy was created for men, and it was predominantly done by men. So I think it's great that you would take it back and start teaching it also to men, because I think that that is important, that we could all use that connection to yoga as more than just a physical practice, to redefine and help us, uh, within our lives so that we can be better people and rise above and have really fulfilling lives. Um, and another thing that I really loved about your story is that, you know, I also came from a corporate background. I was making very, very good money and I left that to teach yoga full-time. And the first couple years were really hard for me. I would say like the first 3 years were super tough financially, and then it got better after that. Um, and then I, you know, after I opened the studios and now that I'm online, I make much more than I ever did in my corporate career. But I'm also a lot older, you know, I'm gonna, you know, 50, right? So it's a very— it's a different perspective. But I love that you really found the true essence of yoga and you really found the people that you, um, wanted to connect with. So, um, one of the things that people can get from you is that not only do you teach in your town, but you also have, um, online offerings. And that's where we met, uh, was through online, and we met through Instagram, uh, over a year ago now, like a significant time. I think really like maybe a year and a half we've been connecting and talking to each other, and Yeah, and you, you post a lot on Instagram and you offer a lot on Instagram, and you recently joined one of my, uh, you were in my Ultimate Yoga Bundle last year, which was so amazing. We loved having you and everyone loved you, and everybody was like, we did a bunch of lives with you and everyone was like, Dani's the best. So when you decided to join my Empowered Yoga Teachers course recently, um, that was also very exciting and we were really excited to have you on board. So What was it that made you want to join the Empowered Yoga Teachers Course and kind of come in with us? And what was your experience during that? Because you just finished up. Yeah.
Yes. So it's kind of like you said, whenever I made the transition out of that corporate world into wanting to teach yoga, it was a lot of, okay, I don't really know what to do, but I'm going to try to mimic what other people are doing. And it actually worked for a while. I was able to teach at studios. I would like— right now I work with, uh, seniors right now at a center. I've taught kid yoga, um, things like that. And so it's fun and it's good, but just teaching yoga doesn't pay the bills unless you do it a certain way. So I'm driving around town and spending money and time trying to teach here and teach here and do this, and sometimes it would work out great. So then I'm also adding in, you know, I'm doing a sound bath here and I'm doing Reiki here You know, and it's starting to piece together, but still not quite it. And so I'm on Instagram and yes, I, I will post a lot and most generally it's all, it was yoga and just kind of lifestyle things that I was doing. I was taking a trip. Oh, there you go. If I make some homemade bread, here you go. You know, just posting on Instagram, just trying to, you know, get followers and get followers. And so it was like, okay, this is okay, but it's not getting me where I need to go. And so then I look back at your page and what's going on, the things that you're doing. I'm like, man, she's a really good teacher and she's like knows what she's talking about. She's been doing this for a while and she's making money. So like, how do I do that? You know? So I'm following and I'm listening to this and then you come out with the Empower Yoga Teacher Course and I'm like, that's what I'm looking for. I need that. And so I waited a while. Like, I think you had one or two groups that have already went through it. And I'm like seeing this and I'm like, um, with the yoga bundle, I forgot to say that that was super scary because I had never like put my face truly like on Instagram like that and doing lives and stuff. I didn't know any of that. It was definitely a fast learning curve, but I was really grateful for it because I was able to learn a lot of things and kind of get my toes wet on what it's like to be able to teach yoga online and have an offering and things like that. And so I was really, really truly grateful for that. Um, we should totally do that again. That, uh, that was, that was a lot of fun. That brought a lot of people, um, to my page. I met a lot of cool people.
I keep thinking like we have to run that again, and I'm just like, when can I fit that in? Because, you know, I'm so focused on the Empowered Yoga Teacher's Course now that I keep like setting a date and then being like, oh, I can't do it, I need to do it, you know, like But yeah, that was a lot of fun. And I was just thinking as you were saying that, like, we got to do that again because there's all these people in the Empowered Yoga Teachers Course that are creating really great offers. And, you know, that would be a great place for them to highlight them for sure.
Yes, yes, for sure. And so then I can say I see the Empowered Yoga Teacher Course, and that's what I'm like, that's what I'm looking for, that's what I need. So I joined, and at the time when I joined, like, when you hosted it, it was right around my birthday. And so I'm busy doing this and that and I'm traveling here and there and I'm like, but I really need this course and it's starting now. So like I signed up, I want to say, I think it was the day before my birthday or like, like right, right before my birthday I signed up. And so I jumped in and I was like, I did the best that I could at the time of like keeping up. But the great thing about it is that we have access to this. So it was like, okay, I'm joining the meetings, I'm listening to what's going on, I'm doing this. And some of the things I'd already done, especially because I was in the Ultimate Yoga Bundle. So some of the things I kind of already knew, so that helped me out a whole lot there. And once I got the gist of it and understood what was going on and how this worked, then now I'm able to take that and I can create as many courses as I want. I can continue to do this. I understand the background on how this works, you know. How are we posting? How are we, you know, getting the keywords and things like that for people to be able to see, to truly bring people in that want to do this? Because one thing I did learn while I'm out trying to make this money and try to get this and make the money come in is you, you can search for people, but most generally those people find you. Because if you go and you search for people just to join my course and you should do this and they're not going to do the work. And even if they pay the money, that's good and great, but then you're not going to be fulfilled because they're not going to do the work. And so therefore, I made it to where, you know, starting again back into my manifestation, understanding that, you know, these people will come. And so let me take this Empower Yoga Teacher course so I can figure out how to be able to get more of the people it is that I want to be able to have in my circle.
Yeah, that's really awesome. And you had really good results with your um, your first offer that you put out, you had a lot of downloads immediately, like, after you, um, created that, which is pretty exciting.
Yeah, it was. I got a few different, um, people that downloaded, which is kind of weird at first because I didn't think anybody would. And then it was like, within the day, there's like 15 people that download this, which doesn't seem like a lot, but for me, I was like, that's a lot of people who's paying attention to my page, you know. So I don't have a lot of followers. I do have a few, but with my other businesses I did, like I bred dogs for years and I have really good champion dogs, like we trophies and ribbons and things like that. Like all of my dogs are papered and stuff like that. But so I have a huge following on that. But on Instagram for yoga, yeah, I don't have that many people. So to have people actually download the offerings and good, uh, and get great feedback was really helpful because then that made me wanted to do it more. And obviously get better at it, but it actually made it feel— it took away a little bit of that fear, like, oh, what am I doing? How am I— you know what I mean? So I was really glad to see that.
Yeah, that's really exciting, and I love that for you. And everybody really enjoys working with you in the course, and everywhere you go, you just bring a lot of light and love and happiness. And so I'm really grateful for the connection with you and And I know that we live like vastly different lives. I'm in Las Vegas and you're in Oklahoma. And, you know, I'm, I'm 50 and I don't know how old you are, but you're younger than me. And, you know, you're a man, I'm a woman, like we have different things, but I just feel very like we're connected and kindred spirits. And whenever I see you, it always really makes me happy to be around you. And I feel like you're truly a friend of mine. I know that's weird. We've never met, but I do feel that way. Like, because I, we've just talked so much, you know.
Definitely. Yeah, we will. And I've learned quite a bit from you watching, you know, the things that you do and how you've done things and the things that you've taught. So no, it's been, it's been a really good, good relationship even though we've never even met before. But we will, we'll meet one day. Like, there's been times I'm like, I really want to go to that retreat, but got life going on right now. So that's even more with the Empower Yoga Teacher course. It's like, now I will have those opportunities to be like, hey, you know what, I can go do this because I teach yoga online and yoga online is paying my bills and I'm good to go. So the more and more I keep saying that, the closer and closer it gets, and that is exactly what I'm working on.
Yeah, yeah, that's how it happened for me. So, you know, may Spirit, God, Universe bless you with the same for sure. Um, so share a little bit about your offer. Tell us about what it is that you created, you know, during the course, and we're going to put a link in the description below. So that people can get your offer and connect with you. So tell us a little bit about what you've created.
Okay, so I— so with my research in the spirituality and how the body works and the breathwork and things like that, I really got into the chakra system because that just made it materialize for me a little bit more. So I'm doing the meditations and I'm doing the manifestations and I'm watching this work. But then when I dive into and discover more about the chakra system, it just kind of clicked and it just kind of made sense. And so I'm doing Reiki and that's helping me understand the chakra system and how this works with the energy. And then I'm doing the sound bath and studying how different notes are associated with different chakras and different harmonies and things like this. Will help balance those chakras. And so it was still kind of one of those up in the air things until I realized that actually scientifically, like, we can actually see that there are energy centers like that. We can quantify and measure these energy centers. And so that for me just made it click. I was like, okay, perfect. Now that I have— like I say, I majored in chemistry, so I got to have that little scientific part into it. Like, it got to make sense for me. Like That's one thing about the religion. It was just like, you're just supposed to believe this and have faith. And then I'm like, mm, that's, that's not a lot. The math is not mathing. So I need a little bit more, you know. So when I looked into chakras and I seen that you could do that, I was like, okay, well let's dive into more of that. And then I realized that having an unbalanced chakra could not only cause physical symptoms, but it causes the emotional symptoms as well. So You may feel scared or in, you know, in fear, and I don't know what I'm going to do. And your back is hurting, your lower back is hurting, and you're like, man, this is not— those could all be symptoms and signs of unbalanced root chakra. So if I take time to study and bring my mindfulness and bring the attention to this chakra and what it is and how to balance this, then I can start to alleviate some of those pains and get over some of that fear. And I even tried it even for myself, just let's see if this works. So I had a Reiki session and there was issues going on in the heart chakra. So I'm like, okay, well that makes sense because my upper back is hurting and I'm kind of feeling this way and a little, little long. I've always been a loner, so, you know, kind of by myself most of the time. But then it kind of got to where it was like I'm isolating myself, which is part of that spiritual journey, but I feel like I'm isolating myself too much. So I started playing the sambos myself, working on the heart chakra and studying what it is and focusing on the color green and eating green foods. And I'm doing yin yoga poses that focus on the heart chakra, and I'm doing Reiki by myself. And the more and more that I'm doing this, the more and more I realize, like, this is actually working. I'm feeling better. And so therefore, that was my story with it. So for me, I decided, okay, well, why not make a chakra course? Because like, again, I'm in Oklahoma. Not a lot of people know about it. I'm not saying nobody does, but it's not out there like that. So I was like, well, let me see what I could do to make something to where anybody can read this and they at least get like a somewhat of an understanding of what it means when I say you may have an imbalance in your chakra. So what I did was I wrote like an ebook, and this ebook, it goes in and explains what the chakras are, each one of them. It gives you affirmations, it gives you the physical characteristics of it being balanced or unbalanced, the emotional characteristics, and then the ways to help balance it. So there's the different foods, the colors to focus on, the affirmations, um, mantras, different crystals. All the things that will be beneficial in helping to, uh, find balance in whatever particular chakra. So with me doing Reiki, the more and more I did Reiki, I felt like the more and more intuitive that I got with it and the more I was able to tap in. And so now, I mean, it still just kind of a little bit scares me how sometimes I can meet people and I'm able to tell them what is going on with their life. and they are like, how did you know that? I'm like, I don't know how I knew that, but I just did. And they're like, that's right. So it's— that's been really weird.
I read it in your body.
Yes, yes, yes. So when I'm doing a Reiki session, I don't normally touch people. Like, it's very rare if I touch anybody. So I'm just necessarily just like feeling the energy. And I've had a session One time that really woke me up to me being able to— this isn't a joke, like, this is something that I'm not making up— is I did a Reiki session on a friend of mine, and she was just kind of helping me out. And I knew her, but we weren't like best friends, you know, but just kind of me practicing, and they were willing. So I'm doing the Reiki session, and I get about the solar plexus and the sacral chakra and I'm starting to see like there's something going on there. And then it hit me and I was like, ah, something's missing. Like, that's the only thing that I can get out of this is something's missing. And they stopped and they were like, I had a hysterectomy a few years ago. And I'm like, I have no idea how I would know that. That makes absolutely no sense to me. But they're like, well, you are right. And so that made me realize, okay, Maybe I'm kind of okay with this. Maybe I can do this. And so since then, I've had Reiki sessions to where— I had one actually a couple weeks ago to where a lady was— you could just kind of feel the energy, or I could, I could feel the energy. And I'm doing the Reiki session on her, and just out of nowhere, it just kind of hits me. I was like, I feel like you are suffering a loss. I feel like you've lost something. Something has happened. And I feel this in your heart chakra. And she immediately has tears and she's like, yes, um, a relationship. And I feel like— and I said, oh, okay. And I was like, and the thing about it is it feels like it's been— it's been for a long time. Either it's been a long time coming or something like that, but I just get the idea that the time span has been quite a while. And then there's even more tears, and she's like, yes, 45 years. And at that point, I'm like, oh wow. So that made me even more really want to create this course. So if people are having issues and being able to quote unquote diagnose themselves by looking at, you know, the different emotional or physical characteristics that's going on with themselves and their body, that they may be able to kind of go in and kind of help heal themselves with the chakra system. So in my course, you get a copy of the ebook, you get a sound bath recording, and then these sound bath recordings, they are geared for each chakra. And so I'm not playing all the bowls in the chakra, I'm not playing all the instruments, I'm playing certain ones that are geared for that specific chakra. So with my study, then the Vedic way that they do it, they use a system fifths. And so with this system of fifths, you create these harmonies and a few disharmonies that will help you be able to find balance in these chakras. So you get a copy of the sound bath, and then you get another copy of a sound bath with me doing a voiceover recorded meditation. And in this meditation, you get the different mantras and affirmations and bringing attention to specific chakras. And then on top of that, you get a Yin Yoga course. So these Yin Yoga courses are again focusing on each chakra. So you can go and— so say if you, you know, you look at the book and you see, you know what, I kind of feel like I have a problem in my throat chakra. But then you can go and you can listen to the sound bath meditation. You can go and listen to just the sound bath. Then you can go and you can do a Yin Yoga course. A yoga class that will help bring attention and balance to the chakra, as well as a journal prompt. And for the people who sign up for this course will actually get a one-on-one Reiki session with me.
So, uh, wow, that's a real bonus.
Yes, definitely. I definitely think so because it takes so much out of me to do Reiki. Like, it takes such an energy drain But I want to be able to truly give people something that they can work on and be able to fix issues that they may have. So you don't just have to, you know, see this, and you can eventually on your own, but you don't have to just be all on your own with this. I will be able to do a Reiki session and see any imbalances that I may feel, and if those resonate with you, you have a lot of tools that you would need be able to help find balance in that.
That sounds like a really awesome course. I'm really excited for people to connect with you that way. And I know that just from the little bit that I know you, you are, you're a lot like me, you really like to overdeliver. You really like to give people more than they asked for, and provide really high quality instruction. And so I'm super excited for everyone that gets your course because I know that it's going to be really incredible and, um, really awesome and helpful.
Thank you, thank you. I really appreciate it.
Yeah, yeah.
I really want people—
okay, so— oh, I'm sorry, go ahead.
No, I just say I just really want people to be able to, you know, help— be able to help themselves, you know, and they're having any issues like that. I didn't have those things when I was going through it, so Very helpful.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know. I think that's why we all create things, right? Because we're like, there's a need for this because we went through this and there— that wasn't there for us, you know? Like, that's why I created my courses that I created. Like, for— with my 300-hour, I didn't get the 300 that I wanted, so I created a 300-hour that would go above and beyond people's expectations. Um, and I do— when you were talking about online courses, I do both a 200-hour and 300-hour online. And, um, I, um, I try to really overdeliver with people. And my courses, my people that graduate from my online courses are stronger teachers than the people who graduate from my in-person, because it's like you're saying, you get to watch those videos over and over again, and you get to really work on it over and over again. And it's the same with the Empowered course, right? You get access access for the lifetime of the course. So you get to keep watching those videos over and over again and really hone your skills in. And like you said, it's like a— it's a fountain of however many courses you want to create now, forever.
It's—
that's what I always tell people. It's like you now have the power in your hands to have freedom for the rest of your life. And it doesn't even have to apply to yoga. Like, if you decide that you want to make a course about dog training, you can use that same outline and do that. And I know I've seen pictures of your dogs before in doing sound bowls, and, um, I love them. There's— I'm a big dog lover myself. So, um, anyhow, but before we go today, I would love if you could just share with us, you know, if you could only leave one thing for this world that you would be remembered for and that you want people to know, um, what would you really want people to know about really anything? What do you want people to know and keep in their hearts? and leave as your legacy?
Um, so one thing that I try to be very mindful of is something I learned a few years ago when I was on this journey, and it was doing a healing journey and, you know, dealing with different traumas and things like this. But it went— I'm gonna try to get this exactly right. So what it was is your beliefs become your feelings, and your feelings become your thoughts, and then your thoughts become your emotions, and your emotions become your circumstance. So if you can change the way that you believe, you can change your circumstance. So I truly feel like I believe that I can do this, so therefore those are the feelings that I have my thoughts about it, my emotions behind it, and I can truly see my circumstance completely changing to what it is that I am trying to achieve.
Yeah, I love that. That's really powerful. That's really powerful.
