This is how I modify Utthita Hasta Padangusthasana. Listen, not everybody can grab onto their toe, and that's totally okay. We're going to spread the toes wide on the left foot, ground down through the earth, creating a nice strong base with that left foot. Now bend the right knee, bring it up, and bring your right hand onto your right knee, left hand onto the left hip. Extend and lengthen the spine here. And if you're feeling a little bit like a sailor, Let's say Captain Morgan. Bring the right knee out to the side. If you want to increase the difficulty in this posture, turn and look toward your left shoulder. Hold here for about 15 to 30 seconds and then slowly bring the leg back, release it down.
