Did you know that hip rotation determines how well your student's going to be able to get into your sequence? Well, Ardha Chandrasana works best when we start with an open hip posture. In this case, we're starting with Virabhadrasana 2. She's going to bring her left hand onto her left hip, right hand comes down slightly in front of the right foot, walk the left foot up so that her hip rises and the foot comes up. You're going to open the hip and then bring the top arm to the sky. If it feels good, she can turn and look up to her top palm. And if you want to come in for an adjustment or an assist to help her do some balancing, you can do it this way, slowly coming back into her Warrior 2.
