Anatomically, when we are moving into Birds of Paradise, we're gonna need a couple of different things to be open. We're gonna need her chest to be open so that she can reach and open into the bind. We're gonna need her hip area to be open so that her inner thighs allow her to do a stretch. First thing I'm gonna do is open up her hips. I take her hands inside of her legs, walk that foot out to the side of the mat, and let her get those hips even more open by coming down onto her forearms. The second thing we're going to work on is our bind. So we'll go ahead and reach the front arm under the leg and the top arm over and behind to make the bind. We'll have her walk her back foot up, turn and look at her front big toe, and then focus on a point as she comes into the Birds of Paradise. Slowly bringing it back down, stepping back into her Warrior II, releasing the arms, coming back up. If you would like to learn more about sequencing, make sure that you light up the follow button.
