This is probably going to shock you, but if you have been doing yoga poses, you haven't even been doing yoga. Yoga is actually an 8-limbed or 8-step process leading to enlightenment. First 2 steps are the yamas and the niyamas, are the things that we should do and the things that we shouldn't do. Spoiler alert, the first step in yoga is actually not eating animals. It's called ahimsa. Yoga asanas are third step in 8 steps of yoga. They're pretty low down on the steps. Only a couple hundred yoga poses. When you see all these people doing yoga on social media, they're not actually doing anything but gymnastics or contortion.
