Yoga community has been doing this so very wrong. It's consistently ostracized each other and told each and every one of us that we all had to believe one way in order to be yoga teachers. But the reality is that the Yoga Sutras say yoga chitta vritti nirodha, which means that whatever is going on in the world, your job as a yoga teacher is to create a safe space for everyone. And that means people who voted on either side. Yes, I know, that might really bother you, but your job is to create a safe space for all of us. Even the people that you absolutely hate and despise. Even the people whose name starts with a T and ends with a P. You gotta love them too, because you know what yoga teaches us? We are all one.
