In this masterclass excerpt, Annamaria Prideaux emphasizes that effective video hooks are the key driver of virality and sales, regardless of niche or product. She argues that once a hook proves successful, creators can reuse and tweak it across different audiences and offerings. Prideaux provides several ready‑to‑use hook formulas—addressing a specific persona (e.g., “To the mom who…”), warning against scams, highlighting a visual flaw (“If your ___ looks like this…”), and a rapid‑adoption surprise (“I swear I started using this way too fast because…”)—and shows how each can be adapted for beauty, wellness, supplements, home goods, and more. She advises creators to identify high‑performing hooks, plug them into new product videos, and continuously test variations rather than reinventing content from scratch.

So I just did a viral hooks masterclass in my women's coaching program, but I also wanted to come on here and give you guys some amazing hooks that you could take and apply to literally any product, any niche. And I want to show you that it doesn't matter what niche or product you're in, but hooks are hooks and they're so important. And you should be really, really focusing on your hooks to make sure they're strong. And you can literally just plug and play. If you had a video go viral for a certain product using a certain hook, you can absolutely use that hook and tweak it and apply it to a different product or a different niche. For example, To the mom who said that this spray made her whole house smell like a luxury beach resort, where did you come from? Because now I'm getting complimented day in and day out, blah blah blah blah blah. You could take that hook and literally apply it to any product you want. You could say, to the girl who, to the person who, to the mom who, to whoever, and then you follow with some sort of reference like thank you, and then transition into your story. Another super easy hook: don't get scammed when buying blah blah blah blah because there's multiple listings, whatever. You could literally say, don't get scammed when buying whatever it is you're trying to sell, and then talk about how brands will copy and make fake listings things, and there's fake versions of the product, yada yada. Another really good hook that's working over and over, mostly for beauty and wellness products, is if your blank looks like this or this, you're not blah blah blah, you just need this, or you're just deficient in this. Does that make sense? You could use it for makeup, you could use it for health products, you could use it for supplements, you could use it for beauty skincare, like whatever. But basically referencing an overlay of something that we all can relate to or all don't want to have, and then talk about how the product can help aid with that issue. Another really good one that I've seen a lot of people use for multiple different products is, I swear I started using this way too fast because what do you mean blah blah blah blah blah. You can use it for, again, beauty, health, wellness, instead of reinventing the entire video. If you see something get views or go viral or generating sales, please understand that you did something right in that video as a TikTok top affiliate, and you need to be taking those concepts and applying it to other products if you want to test other videos as well. Also, when you realize that hooks are just hooks and you can literally
