A new accredited dietetic internship launches in January 2021, combining nutrition science with business training. The program fills a gap: registered dietitians typically lack skills in marketing, sales, and launching private practices. It's designed for students who want to lead in industry or start their own ventures.

I have a really exciting story to share with you about how we're going to positively impact the world. I believe that the healthcare providers in our country are top-notch, and they are helping millions of people prevent disease and treat disease. And our healthcare providers are not trained in business. For example, when a registered dietitian wants to start her own or his own private practice, they don't understand what to do. Dietitians and healthcare providers are not trained in business. And about 6 years ago, I had an idea to start an accredited dietetic internship to merge business with nutrition and empower the future registered dietitians of our world to start businesses, to go into industry roles, to do marketing, and to help millions of consumers because registered dietitians are the experts in nutrition, but they're not the experts in business yet, and that is going to change. And we got our candidacy approval for our dietetic internship, and we are doing our recruiting starting now. We are going to get our first class starting in January of 2021, and we're going to get our second class in the summer of 2021, and then we're going to keep going from there. And we are going to empower these to be registered dietitians, to start their own businesses, to go into industry roles, to excel in sales and marketing. And we cannot wait to help millions and millions of consumers become the best versions of themselves, because leading a healthy and well-balanced life is truly the key to everyone's success.
