Hi, welcome back to the Be Complete Explore the Store grocery shopping series. Today is all about saving time, but before we even go into the store, I'm going to go through some of our favorite tips to save you time when you're shopping. Whenever you think about if there are more hours in the day or if you wanted an extra day in the week, unfortunately that's not going to be possible, but using these tips you're going to save time, ultimately getting your health better, and when you're healthier, that's always going to save you and your family time. A couple things to consider: use technology. A lot of grocery stores have apps apps you can use which are going to save you time. I'm going to talk to you about some of those applications. Okay, let's get into it. Step 1: Make a list. I know it sounds cliché, but make a list because think about it, if you're busy, the last thing you want to think about is what you need to pick up at the grocery store. And that's when those apps are going to come in handy. For example, Wegmans has an app you can put in the items that you want. You're going to find out instantly what's on sale. It's also going to tell you where you can pick it up in the grocery store. It's going to save you so much time. This is the Wegmans application. We're going I'm gonna click on my list. You can see the items that I've put into my list, and then we're gonna check out where's this Banza pasta located. You basically, it's really easy. It says located in the gluten-free Nature's Market section. It's as simple as that. And then also with this application, if you wanna go ahead and purchase everything, you can purchase, and then whenever you come to pick it up, it'll already be bagged up for you. Okay, step 2, look for deals. Oftentimes grocery stores are gonna put items that cost less lower on the shelves, and this is a game you can play with your children. As you're in the grocery store, have your kids spot out the items with the lower number next to the item. So it's gonna save you money and it's gonna occupy your kids. And also, grocery stores are gonna send out emails which— with deals, and that's a great way to find out what's on special, saving you money. Step 3: Look for the prepared fruits and vegetables. It's gonna save you so much time because they're already washed and cut, and it's a way to include everyone in the family. You don't have to worry about your kids cutting vegetables because they're already cut for you. Step 4: Look for frozen. Oftentimes people think that frozen fruits and vegetables aren't as healthy as the fresh counterparts, but that's not true. Frozen fruits and vegetables are individually quick frozen. It's gonna lock in those water-soluble nutrients, and they're really easy for grab-and-go too. For example, smoothies— you just throw in your frozen berries and you're ready to go. Step 5: Look for the checkout line with only one person. Now I know it sounds crazy, but even if there's one person with items, it's going to be faster than going to a checkout line with several different people with fewer items. And last but most important, whatever you do, do not go to the grocery store hungry. It's going to be almost impossible to stick to your list. You're going to be adding lots of things that you don't really need. It's going to take more time. It's going to cost you more money. And it's also going to put things in your house that you might not want to be eating all the time. Now you have the tools that you need to make your grocery store shopping a success. Use technology, plan ahead, and and involve your family members in ways that they're going to enjoy too. If you enjoyed this video, I encourage you to share it with your family, your colleagues, and your friends. And until next time, be educated, be inspired, and be complete. Let's go shopping!
