Do you feel on top of the world today? I'm out taking a walk. It's great here in Jersey today, but I don't feel like I'm on top of the world today, so I figured I'd have a little conversation with you about it. I actually had an amazing coffee with a new friend this morning who I met through Hey Mama. Hey Stacy! Um, and we were just talking about what it really feels like to do what we do, to be a mom in America at this point, and how we all feel the same things. And some days are good days and some days are bad days. The good have to outweigh the bad for me to continue doing what I'm doing, and I I love it, right? I love having that choice. I love to be able to do what I want when I want while having amazing clients and great experiences. Um, but I've worked like 20 years to get there, and sometimes I forget that. Do you forget like where you are in your business and where you came from? Wait, it looks like I need to fix that. Okay, right, where you are, where you came from. Because when I forget where I've come from or what I've created, I dim my light. Like, to be in all honesty, because you know I always tell you the truth here, like I applied for a job on Friday. I had a conversation with this woman who I've been watching, I've been in her community, and she had an opening. And I was like, okay, let's talk about it. And I told my husband at dinner that night, and he's like, I'm so surprised. Like, whenever I see you working or you tell me about your day, like, because I'm leveling up, and I feel like when you level up, that's when it's the most scary, and that's when you want to quit and you want to run away. And that was definitely a path to find a way to run away. And I even And I wrote her an email on Tuesday and I was like, I told her that this is a path for me to run away and not grow. And I'm bigger than that. And I want to be bigger than that. And I want to want to be bigger than that. I think that's the thing sometimes too, is like you want to want to be there, but it's hard to get there. And that's what I've been asking myself lately. Like, how much do I want to stretch and how much do I want to grow and how much do I want to sacrifice or push myself or feel uncomfortable? But like, just saying it now, it's like, I like that. I want to press, I want to grow, I want to be on Drew Barrymore again. I want to get my clients on Good Morning America. I want to be a thought leader. I want to be seen as an expert. I am an expert, BTW. So are you. And the more that I do things, the more people see me, the more visibility I have. Like, I, I've been doing a lot of podcasting lately, and that's helping me see where I'm going and where I want to be because people are asking me the questions. In this silo by myself, it's really hard to figure out the answers to the questions. But you're on a podcast and they ask you the questions and it's like off the cuff and you just have that conversation. I feel like you learn a lot about yourself because what you and I do here is actually personal development, not just— and it's okay and it's gonna be okay and you and I are gonna figure it out. So today let's do this one thing. Let's acknowledge ourselves. For where we've been, where we've gotten to, and the thought of where we're going. And like always, let's do it together, because doing it alone, not so much fun. P.S. to all those people out there— yes, I'm talking to you— who feels like you need to look a certain way on camera so that you don't go live, or you need to be a certain way, or you need to say a certain thing, this is what, this is what real life looks like. I wanted to get— move my body, so I went outside. I had an idea and a thought, and I was like, let's just share it, because this— yeah, working out but still talking to you and still showing up. And with the consistency that I'm trying to do, my intention of consistency of doing this more often can't be barred by what I look like or what I'm wearing or where I am. So I gave myself permission to show up like this versus having my hair done or having good lighting or whatever it is. Like, let's just have the honest conversation because what you and I do is not easy all the time. And the more and more that we talk about it, the more and more that we can feel good about it and actually feel good about it.
