Beth Nydick talks about the invisibility many entrepreneurs feel when their work goes unnoticed, and how media exposure through podcasts and magazines fixes it. She offers a 5-week program to build your media message, create pitches, and land consistent coverage.

Hey, what does it feel like to you when you feel invisible, right? That's why I put that song on, because so many times I hear from my clients and the people that work with me, how they just feel unseen, unheard, and invisible. And like, who hasn't felt invisible? I could— I was thinking of stories to tell you guys about how invisible I felt. And like, the one that sticks out for me is I actually went with a friend of mine— this is years and years ago— to a bar restaurant that we were going to throw a party for another friend of ours' birthday. And the guy only spoke to her, like didn't even look my way. And I remember— the reason I remember that It was a time in my life that I really felt invisible. My kids were getting a little older. My business was just starting. I didn't know what I was actually doing yet, but I still like even thinking about that right now, talking about it right now, I get that sinking feeling in my stomach, that same feeling I get when the producers at a show that I want to be on or I want to get my clients on don't answer me, right? Or they've answered me once and then don't answer me again. And as I'm not 50, almost, but that Being of a certain age, you know, I understand what that— the invisibility has changed in my life. But feeling invisible in your business, just, it goes to the core. It— I, for me, it's my motivation is lacking, my consistency is lacking, my showing up as me is lacking. All the stuff that I want to do, that I want, that I'm working towards is lacking if I feel like no one's listening. Like, how many times have you put a post out and nobody answers you? right? Because, you know, our friends don't answer us. It's a larger audience that actually comments and likes and does our stuff. But like, how many times have you put an email out and nobody clicks on any of the links? Like, we all have that feeling, that invisible feeling. But for me, getting press, being on podcasts, being on TV, getting in those magazines that I want to be on, that helps me feel less invisible. But it also— right, what does it do for my business? It uplevels my energy, it uplevels who's seeing me. It uplevels my— coupling all of that with my media message and leveraging that, right, for what the 3 C's— clients, credibility, and lots and lots of cash. Because I am not about doing all this work and not making money from it. It's great to get more credibility and it's great for, you know, all the fun stuff, the logos, the accolades. But for you to make some real money off of these activities, that's where the rubber meets the road, right? That's the difference. Between what I do and maybe what somebody else does. And that's one of the reasons I put together my 5-week Get Real PR program, because I want you to be the actual you you are. I want you to be a real person, 'cause you need to be real to get press, or be real to be on the press. I'm still working on it, but you know what I mean. So here's the link to the 5-week program where together we're gonna work one-on-one and in a group as a guided collaboration to get you the press that you want. You'll have your media message, your media kit, all those media assets you need and then be well on your way with a pitch and contacts and system that's going to bring you that consistency of media, money, and everything else you could possibly desire.
