In this short presentation, Speaker A explains why public relations (PR) is a slow‑build effort that requires deep engagement from both media producers (editors, podcast hosts, etc.) and entrepreneurs. She stresses that producers need time to understand a founder’s work so they can ask meaningful questions, and that entrepreneurs must craft clear, compelling messages that translate press coverage into concrete audience actions such as social follows, opt‑ins, and purchases. She cites a client whose book received only one truly in‑depth outlet, illustrating the value of quality over quantity. Speaker A positions herself as a PR specialist with relationships and experience, offering to answer any PR‑related questions via direct message. Speaker B closes the segment.

Hey, I love that song because— are you getting jealous by all the colleagues and the people that you know or that are getting into the press? That you're not there, right? Because what I'm finding is that many entrepreneurs don't understand that PR is a slow build. It takes time. Like, we want producers, editors, podcast hosts to really investigate what we do so their questions are deep, right? How many questions— how many times you've been asked, like, what do you do on a podcast? Well, that's not really deep. That host might not have taken the time to actually know who you are and what you do. I have a client who wrote an amazing, amazing book, and we've had press for her, but only one outlet actually— like, I can feel they took the time to really read the book, really think about it, really get in depth. So when you're waiting for press or you're pitching and you're not— people aren't getting back to you right away, let's stop thinking that it's us. Let's remember that the producer's job is to create good content, not just put you on their, on their platform. So for them to take the time to understand what you do and for you to really think about how you wanna present yourself, because we can pitch, you know, with all those bullet points, but what are you actually going to say? That's actually the most important because what you want outta the press hit is people to come find you, to go to your social, to download your opt-in, to buy your products. So thinking about it on both ends, I think you think deeper about what you do and you'll be more successful. That's why my clients hire me, because we have the relationships, we have the experience, and we understand how PR actually works. So if you have any PR questions, DM me right there on the bottom. DM me the questions and I will answer them during the week.
