A short promotional/profile video featuring Lance Ball, founder and CEO of Aspen Mountain Plumbing, describing the company’s focus on residential plumbing, service standards (the “gold leaf standard”), and hometown roots. Lance explains how ServiceTitan technology and standardized, well-stocked trucks enable high-quality, professional service across remote, high-elevation Wyoming towns; he also recounts his personal background (coal miner’s son), company growth (from one van to hired staff and customized trucks), and the freedom ServiceTitan gives him to spend time with family/outdoors. The piece highlights operational details (truck design, stocked inventory, ladder storage, locked compartments), customer-facing professionalism (uniforms, bios, iPads), and the company’s local leadership in raising trade standards.
Service titan has made us look like a million dollar company, like a nationwide brand. I'm Lance Ball. I'm the founder and CEO of Aspen Mountain Plumbing. We do residential plumbing. Our main concern is the homeowner and to build that relationship with them. And so it's kind of our niche. That's what we focus on and we perfected. I grew up as a coal miner's son. Really humble beginnings. You're not making a ton of money, but that mentality never left me. That hard work ethic, I'm bringing that back to the people through plumbing. Welcome to Aspen Mountain plumbing. We have a high level of standard here. We call it the gold leaf standard. Actually. We work hard to find the best for our customers. The best product, the best services, the best equipment, whatever we can provide our customer and make it better for them. That's what we work hard to do. When I first started, it was me in a used work van, magnet on the side. But I had a dream of creating something good and I think it transformed from a dream to a vision. And that was when I started hiring.
Makes me feel pretty good knowing that we can actually provide the world class service. We show up in professional uniforms. We have the knowledge to actually be able to converse with the customer, explain to them the issues. We show them different options, give them the opportunity to choose what they want done in their house instead of walking in there saying, this is broken, I'm fixing it, you owe me this much. And walking out.
Wyoming's unique. We're in the mountains, we're high elevation and we get a lot of extreme weather. Rock Springs, Green river was built for railroad. The coal mines around Rock Springs were built for the railroad. Our towns, literally, when you leave a town, you leave a town and you don't see another town for maybe 20, 50 miles, maybe 100 miles. What makes that unique? You can't just go with a regular truck. You have to be prepared. You have to have that truck stocked, ready to rock and roll. Because there ain't no hardware store in some of these towns. Service titan has really helped us with that because what service titan has done is it's been able to let us to listen to the phone calls, see exactly what we're going to need for that job. Make sure our trucks are prepared and ready to rock and roll before we even leave Rock spring. And that way we know when we go to that job, we're 100% ready to take care of them.
Each one of the trucks are designed exactly the same. We have state of the Art equipment on each truck.
So we have a lot of customization in this truck. First of all, these are 10 foot beds. Your standard size for pipe is. And so we wanted to make it to where they could cut. The technicians could cut the pipe in half, slide it right in on these racks. We usually do water on that side, drains on this side, and then we have doors on the back to where we can pull them in and out and make it nice and easy for the guys in the wintertime. We get a ton of snow and ice here in the winter, and so if your ladders are on top, you get a lot of ice built up on the steps. Makes it a safety hazard for the guys. In order to prevent that, we put our ladder racks on the inside of the truck, on these jet racks, which is a quick disconnect to where we can get our ladders out, ready to go and save for the guys. One thing I really love about this truck, I close the door. Touch of a button. I lock all 11 doors. It's all locked up and the tech didn't have to worry about anything but one button. Service Titan's our heartbeat. It's been able to make us look like a huge company because we're using the new technology, we're using the iPads, so we've become a landmark in our community.
The customers like the fact that they can see who's coming to their house. They like the little bios that come with it that ServiceTitan provides. So, I mean, there's a whole bunch of different aspects that ServiceTitan actually provides that other companies don't.
We're the first ones really bringing it into our community. And we've set this bar for trades in general that now everybody else is under that bar. And it's all because of Service Titan and the system that we have built in. I like to go out in the outdoors. I love rafting, I love motorcycling, I love just spending my time outdoors. And I have three sons and I love to involve them in it. Before Service Titan, I was tied down to Aspen Mountain plumbing because if I was gone, I couldn't track anything. I couldn't keep things in check and I'd come back and it would be just a hornet's nest. And Sur Titan provides me that freedom because it's just running smooth and I don't have to worry about it as much. I can relax a little bit more.
