What's going on everybody? It's Rich Coatrig here, the blue collar nerd. Just a quick announcement I wanted to get out there. Service Titan's two way chat feature is now out of beta and you can go and enable that right now. What that does is on your call screen you'll get this little chat option and anybody who sends you a text message, you can then reply directly to them through ServiceTitan. You can also do that from their job screen or the customer page next to any textable number. You'll see next to their little notification on off bell. You'll also see this new little blue chat bubble that you can click anywhere to initiate a chat with them if they haven't sent you a message. Now this isn't going to be on by default. So to get this on, what you're going to need to do is go into your settings, go up to the search up here, just type in the word chat. Find it. Okay? And the first time that you do this you might get a little pop up that says you need to enable it in the permissions. And your permissions will probably say have a little like exclamation point here. So you got to go edit employees and anybody who you want to be able to use this feature, you're going to have to enable it in their permissions. It's probably easier to do categorically versus person by person. So if you just go over to the permissions page, you can do it by category everybody in dispatch, for example, edit. And then easiest way is usually just command F, control F and chat. Okay, so you gotta enable these two boxes. Read only access customer chats and full access to customer chats. You can see right there, it says must have read permission checked. So you got to check them both if you don't want them to be able to actually send messages, but you do want them to be able to read them. I guess you can do read only as well. So once you've done that, you have to go back to the chat section of your settings and then this will be off. Just click on save and then refresh everything, go back to your call screen, hit refresh. And you should see this stack over here, this new menu on the left where you have the chat option that you can click on. And there you go. Two way chat in Service Titan, finally out of beta.
