🌟 Unlock the Power of Crystal Healing for Manifestation | Jamie Inglett 💎 EP 389
27 Sept 2024 · 26 min
In this episode of the Grief to Growth podcast, host Brian D. Smith interviews intuitive healer, author, and founder of Enchanting Earth, Jamie Inglot. The conversation begins with a brief promotion of Smith’s grief‑support resources (guided meditations, workbooks, NDE ebook, and courses) before introducing Jamie, who recounts her childhood love of crystals and a transformative experience mining quartz in Arkansas that sparked her shift from a banking career to full‑time crystal work. Jamie explains the scientific basis of crystal healing, describing crystals’ repeating atomic structures and dominant oscillatory rates that can hold and transmit intentions, likening quartz’s use in watches to its vibrational properties. She emphasizes ethical sourcing, recommending small‑business retailers that can verify provenance and avoid mislabeling. Practical guidance is offered on selecting crystals—by intuition, color, or pendulum—cleansing methods (sunlight, moonlight, water, sound, visualization), setting intentions, and integrating stones into daily life through personal wear, placement in the environment, or feng‑shui arrangements. The discussion covers crystal jewelry versus loose stones, common misconceptions about certification and authenticity, pricing considerations (rarity vs. quality), and the importance of personal resonance over cost. Jamie shares details about her community activities (regular Instagram Live sessions, educational content, and interactive chats) and her book Crystal Creed, which outlines crystal formation, chakra work, meditation, and placement strategies. She lists favorite stones (moldavite, amethyst, rose quartz, rhodochrosite) and describes how crystals can raise personal vibration to support manifestation and protection, citing personal experiences such as alleviating night terrors. The episode concludes with promotional plugs for Jamie’s Instagram, website, and where to purchase her book, as well as a final reminder of Smith’s grief resources and a free NDE lessons ebook.

So let's— with that, let's welcome to Grief to Growth, Jamie Inglot.
Thank you so much for having me.
Yeah, it's really great to have you here. I like to start— you said you had, I think, a spiritually transforming experience at a quartz mine. That sounds really interesting, so why don't we start there?
Yeah, so I've always been attracted and loved crystals, but as I got older, I kind of got distracted and just went on with life. And then in my early 20s, my parents helped me reconnect with my childhood love of crystals, and we went on this quartz mining vacation with my my husband and my son, and then my parents and my brother. And it was a beautiful experience. So we got to go into different quartz mines in the area. If you've not been to Mount Ida area in Arkansas, it's a beautiful experience. You can go into a quartz mine and you just kind of pay an entry fee and then you can mine as many pieces as you want. And it's just such a fun experience to go in there. And when I walked in, everything was like glistening and it really just started activating things within me. And I Didn't really understand what was going on, but I was so drawn to it and it was just the most transformative experience of my life. And it really kind of like changed the trajectory for me.
Yeah. So you said you had a love for crystals even when you were a child though.
Yeah. I got my first gemstone set from my grandparents. They would go on different trips around the country and come back with like a rose quartz from South Dakota or some like gold. And it was just really cool. Yeah, experience. I always like to play. We had a creek in my backyard when I was growing up, and there were all kinds of like fossils I could go back there and find. So it was always something that I really was drawn to.
Yeah, well, for a lot of us, I mean, we look at crystals and they look pretty, but yeah, something beyond that. So tell us what— tell us scientifically how crystals— how do they work? How do they help?
Yeah, so crystals have a perfect and repeating atomic structure that gives them a very steady vibration known as the dominant oscillatory rate. So when we're working with crystals, they are able to set an intention— we're able to set an intention with them, and they're able to retain that intention with their structure. Uh, quartz is used in watches and different electronics for programming for timekeeping. So when we work with them by wearing them or putting them in our pocket, we're able to tap into their energy and use them for healing and manifestation, growth, and positive energy.
Yeah, well, I think we've all heard of quartz watches. I think most of us don't really know what that means, but I— as I understand it, quartz resonates at a certain vibration, and by counting the number of cycles, we can keep time with it. It's If that— I think it's pretty close to the way it works.
Yeah.
So crystals, we can use, as you're saying, we can set an intention and the crystal can pick up on that.
Yeah. And it kind of sends it out. So when I'm working with crystals, I'm very intentional about like the sourcing process, cleansing them to make sure that they don't have any remnants of other energy on them. So it's really important when you're working with crystals to make sure that they're from a good source and they're cleansed and they're ready to use.
Okay. And what are some sources of crystals? What would be a good source and what's a not so good source?
Yeah, I always kind of recommend shopping with a smaller business. Most smaller businesses, they're really invested into their pieces rather than a large retailer that they're not necessarily going to know where it came from or how it was sourced. If everybody was compensated fairly, if they're working in proper conditions, all of those things. Like, there's a lot that goes into it. And like, when you walk into a store and you see something that's like mislabeled or, um, that's like not in fact what it says it is, those are kind of like a red flag as a consumer. So it just kind of— what I've noticed is smaller businesses have a a better handle on sourcing better, and they're more invested in the pieces that they're offering.
So when I walk into crystal shops, to me, it's almost like when I look at vitamins, there's all these different ones. And so how do I know which crystal is right for me?
I feel like we're kind of drawn to the ones that we need. And sometimes it can be overwhelming when there's a lot of options. You're like, oh my gosh, there's so many. I always kind of go with the first one, but you can use different methods, You can use like a pendulum, or you can, um, just go by color because each color has a different meaning. So like if you're wanting to attract more love in your life, you would pick a pink or a green crystal. And if you're wanting to feel more safe and grounded, you would go with like a red, brown, or black crystal. And those are more of like grounding, safety, security for the root chakra. So those are a few different ways you can pick which way, or you can just work with them because they're pretty. Any reason is great.
Yeah, well, I know, because like I said, you walk into the shops and you've got the little card there that says, okay, this is amethyst and this is good for this and this is good for— and they all sound good, right? We want all these things. So it's okay just to go by color or by intuition?
Yeah, for sure. Or if you know, you know, amethyst is great for protection, intuition. That's a great option to go with.
And so how do we— so I go to a shop and I get a crystal, and so then what do I do with it?
Yeah, so when you get it home, I always want to cleanse the crystal first, and you can put it out for just a few minutes in the sunlight or moonlight, or just even like water will work for most of them. Some of them will disintegrate in water. Water is like not typically my go-to, but the easiest method— if you bring a crystal into your home and you want to cleanse it, you can use sound. Like, you can use like a sound bowl if you have one, or you can even just close your eyes and visualize when you open them a white bubble of light surrounding the stone, and then it will be cleansed. So it doesn't have to be complicated or hard, it can be really easy. And then Once you've done that, then you just need to know what intention you have for that piece. So if it's like a rose quartz and I want to attract more love, I would just sit with the crystal for a few minutes and think about what I'm wanting to do with this piece. I want to attract love, I want to send love out to the world and promote peace. I would just reflect on that for a few minutes and then it's good to go.
Okay, and then do I set it in my environment? Is this something that I do like every day that I, you know, or how do I, how do I actually interact with it like an ongoing basis?
Yeah, so it's nice to keep it in your energy field, so like on your body or close by you. If you want to put it on your desk, that's great too. You don't have to do the cleansing and intention setting process every time you're working with the crystal. You might want to cleanse it if, you know, someone comes into your space and they're having a bad day and they're just kind of going off. You want to do a cleansing afterwards because it'll kind of soak up that energy. So that's something I, I do recommend. But you don't have to like reset an intention every single day for it to manifest your intention.
Okay. And so that's a crystal if I'm just buying a piece of crystal. But what about crystal jewelry? How does— how do— how would I use that?
Yeah, so I would work with it the same way. When you bring it in, you're going to cleanse it and you're going to set the intention with it. And then jewelry is actually my favorite form of crystal to work with, because you can put it on yourself and then you've got that reminder and you've got that energy in your field that you're able to feel it. And then you can play with it, you can look at it and it will inspire you. And it's a beautiful way to work with crystals.
Yeah, it sounds like, uh, you know, it's really interesting.
So convenient. Yeah.
Are there crystals— I mean, I know they're formed in the earth and stuff, but it sounds like they have, uh, almost like, like a living type of thing, or they can understand our intentions and they can reflect it back to us. Um, any ideas on how that works?
Stay with us, we'll be right back.
You know, one of the hardest things about grief— most of the people in your life just don't get it. They want you to be further along than you are. They get uncomfortable when you bring it up, so you stop bringing it up. And that's why I started writing. My Substack is where I go deeper. Thoughts I don't always get to on the podcast. Essays on consciousness, on continuing bonds, on what it actually means to carry a loss and still build a life. The stuff that used to keep me up at night written out in a way that I hope meets you in the morning. But here's what I didn't expect when I started it. The community that showed up. People who are doing exactly what you're doing. Listening, learning, trying to find their footing, readers who comment, who share their own stories, who remind each other that none of us are as alone in this as we feel. And that's what the Substack has become, a place to go deeper with me and to find your people. It's free to subscribe. Find me at grief2growth.com/substack. That's grief, the numeral 2, growth.com/substack. Or just go to Substack and search for Grief to Growth. I hope to see you there.
Yeah, I feel like over time, since they do keep— hold energy, they've picked up on all these vibrations and things going on through the Earth. So, you know, some things are good and some things are not good, but they, they hold something for us to learn from. And I think they're here to uplift us and help us heal and spread love and peace throughout the Earth. They're just kind of— I feel like they're medicine from Mother Earth, if you will.
Yeah, well, yeah, there is— I think there is a lot of medicine in Mother Earth. It's nice you bring that up, but we know that there's plant medicine, and it sounds like, um, from what I'm hearing, these crystals are kind of, you know, here also that we can use in that sense. So what are, um, as you— as people interact with you and you've been talking to me about crystals, what are some of the misconceptions that you hear about crystals?
Yeah, sometimes stores will give out like a certificate of authenticity, and if it's not from like a regulatory agency, like the GIA is actually the best kind of like gemstone certificate you can get, but it's, it's not like, I wouldn't say worthwhile, but it's not necessary if you're just buying like a tumble or like a regular bracelet. You don't need the certificate, so it can kind of be a little bit of misconception. For people to think that it's not real if I don't get that certificate. Um, it's not really necessary. I'm— I would only sell authentic pieces. Like, there's just not— there's costs that go into doing the certificate side, and it's just not— the price point is definitely going to add to that. Um, and then just if a crystal seller doesn't know where crystal comes from, that's going to be like a red flag. Um, to not know the country of origin.
And okay, yeah, yeah. So when people, um, if I mean, I know there are crystal shops and I guess, and I haven't been in many, so please forgive my ignorance, but am I looking for a jewelry shop or am I looking for a crystal shop, or how do I go about finding a place to, to purchase crystal jewelry or crystals?
Yeah, you can probably like search online and see what is close to you. I think a lot of crystal shops are going to have jewelry, so it just kind of depends on whether you would prefer to have jewelry or if you'd rather have a tangible crystal. I think most crystal shops are going to have both, and then just kind of seeing what's in your area. Of course, there's going to be a lot of stuff online. I go live on Instagram and I teach and share our offerings. A lot of it though is teaching, and I've got like a lot of free resources on our website, so you don't have to make a purchase or invest any money in to learn about the pieces. So we've got a lot of it just out there on our website, and then, um, I'll go live to like teach and like show how to work with the different pieces that we offer.
Now, I know you obviously think crystals are really important because you left a banking, banking career to do this. So what inspired you to make that change?
Yeah, so I actually, I was still working in banking when I had my awakening, and then just over time, uh, my desk grew to an office, and it was filled with crystals, and people would always ask me about that. But we actually went to a gem show in 2019, and then a few weeks later, I got my first piece of moldavite, and it, it was another spiritual awakening, and it just, it really set me on a different path. I'd been kind of like manifesting a change, like I wanted to have a job where I could work from home and still take care of my family the same way. And I didn't plan on leaving banking, but it just kind of organically shifted. And then one day my husband's like, you should really start sharing your crystals online. And I was like, really? Like, I, I never done social media or anything like that. Um, so it was all like super new to me. And I just started posting, and then people started engaging and interacting with me. And I was like, oh my gosh, people like crystals too. And like, it just grew into this community, and it's been such a powerful experience.
Yeah. So tell me about your, your community, because I know you do some online, online things with them. Tell me about what you do.
Yeah, so I go live a few times a week, and I'll, um, on Wednesday I do this like live where I kind of like showcase things and we just talk, and like there's no like purchasing. Um, we'll talk about the metaphysical properties and I'll go over like the scientific aspects of everything too. So like it's composed of this and it's sourced from here, just different facts that you can learn about them, and then the metaphysical properties. And then it's really interactive, so our community is always chatting, and like, it's become like a gathering of friends every time we go live. So it's every week, and then, um, it's just a lot of fun.
Yeah. So I probably ask you to name your favorite crystal, be like asking you to name your favorite child, but, uh, what crystals, if you— top, top 5, top 3, what are your— what are the top ones that you are attracted to?
Yeah, moldavite has to be up there just for how it's changed my life specifically. I love amethyst, rose quartz, all of the basic crystals. I also like rhodochrosite, my top favorite. Okay, but I could list them all. Yeah, they're all beautiful.
Yeah. And so, um, about pricing on crystals, I mean, if I spend a lot of money, am I getting a more powerful crystal or a better, better crystal, or How does that work?
Not necessarily. Price does become a factor when we're looking at rarity and quality, so it does play a factor. But I have seen things online that are very, very expensive price point, and they might be fake, they might be treated and not disclosed. So it doesn't always play into it, but the higher quality and more rare pieces are going to be more expensive, but you don't have to spend a lot to get a good piece. A larger crystal does have a larger energy field, but if getting a crystal into your life means grabbing a few tumbles, that's where you should start. That's a great start. That was my start. Like, you don't need, like, a cathedral to change your life. You can get a rose quartz tumble, amethyst tumble, and start right there.
So when you're talking about tumble, you're talking about a small piece that would be something you could just sit on your desk or something. And I know I've seen people with amethyst that are like 4 feet tall. Um, yeah, so we don't necessarily need that to get the benefits of a crystal.
No, no, you just start with what you're drawn to. I feel like you're going to be drawn to a specific crystal for a reason and just go with that. It's going to be exactly what you need.
Okay, and, um, what is Crystal Creed?
Crystal Creed is my book. I wrote that after working with crystals for 10 years and kind of going through this journey offline by myself. Now today we've got a lot of crystal resources available online, lots of communities, right? But back then there wasn't a lot. So I wrote this book for myself back then, for my community, for people that are starting their journey and don't know where to start it. It takes you through every single step from how they're formed, the chakras, how to use them in meditation, and then also the crystal properties.
Okay, okay. Um, so I know a lot of people were thinking about manifestation, we're thinking about setting intentions and things like that. So that's, that's become, you know, a language everybody's kind of gotten used to. Um, how does crystals— how would crystals play into, into that?
Yeah, crystals are— the way I look at them, when you bring them into your energy field, they're going to help raise like your frequency, your energy, your vibration, and it's going to put you at a match for different experiences. Different people, different things are going to be drawn to you because you're working with this new energy. And I've had nothing but beautiful experiences with working with crystals. I used to suffer from like night terrors and just all of these things that everybody else probably goes through too. But crystals, really, they bring protection, they bring good energy.
So I'm thinking about my living space because you mentioned night terrors. So do you have crystals in your bedroom for that and different crystals in your office for different things? Or do you— I know you said you like the jewelry because you can carry that with you. So what are some other places that people might, might put their crystals?
Yeah, I love to put black tourmaline at the front door. That's a great way to cleanse and purify and also protect your space, putting in your entryway and like at your home entry point, putting protective crystals in your bedroom if that's an issue that you have, um, filling it with things like amethyst, tourmaline. I have some, uh, what's called blue sheelite. It's really soothing and calming. I have that on my bedside. I haven't had night terrors for years and years. Like, it's It's been a long time since I started working with crystals. They've really just completely transformed everything about how my life was before.
Yeah, yeah. So we can, we can put them in various places for different, different things. And do you cover some of that in your book, or can I learn more about that in your community?
Yeah, yeah, absolutely. Both places— on my site, on Instagram, and then in the book we have a chapter on feng shui. So you can kind of like map out where you want to put certain pieces to bring good energy. Like putting different crystals in your dining room are going to help with digestion and just promote harmony as you're eating with your family and things like that.
Wow. Okay, so, um, where can people find out more about you, about what you do? You mentioned your book, so where can we get your book?
You can get my book on my website, enchanting-earth.com. You can get it on Amazon, Barnes Noble, and, um, ohbooks.com.
Okay. And, um, and you said you also have an Instagram, so, uh, is that Enchanting Earth also?
Yeah, Enchanting Earth Co on Instagram. I think TikTok and Facebook too.
Okay.
But Instagram is where our community— where we go live. I don't do lives on the other platforms. Right now.
Okay, awesome. Is there anything that I should have asked you about crystals or about how to use them or anything that you'd like to share with the audience?
I don't believe there's a right or wrong way to work with crystals. So if you're feeling drawn to a certain crystal for a certain reason, or you want to work with it in a certain way, and maybe that's not the way that I've said on my book or on my website, or, you know, you ask me a question that doesn't, like, resonate just go with what feels right for you. It should be fun and enjoyable experience, and they're truly magic in your life. So yeah, just follow your intuition.
Yeah, well, you know, it's funny, it's, it's really interesting we're saying that because I'm, I've been working on following my intuition more, and I've been advising my, my clients to follow it. So I think a lot of times we're like, okay, what's the right, like I was saying to you earlier, what's the right thing for me? And when I get it, how do I work with it? And we want to you know, I guess maybe over-intellectualize it. So maybe we should just trust ourselves a little bit more and, and see which ones we're attracted to.
Yeah, even if it's just because it looks cool, go with it. I think they all look cool. Yeah, they're all unique and beautiful.
Yeah. Well, Jamie, thanks for, thanks for doing this today. It's really good to meet you and understand, uh, more about the crystal world and how we can integrate them into our lives. So I would say to anybody listening, if you, if you have any questions, make sure you follow Jamie on Instagram and, and, and get the book and, uh, check out the website.
Yeah, thank you so much for having me today.
All right, thanks for being here. Have a great day.
You too. Thank you.
